- This was shot in real time and most of it was a continuous shot. This carb is unbelievable with how versatile it is. This is a slant six and is the bottom of the barrel when it comes to performance. This is why my reactions on here are 100% real as the video goes along. I will be driving and tuning this carb in the up coming videos and like always we will hit the track with a blistering fire breathing blast down the 1/8 as we test it against the other carburetors. Then we will also be posting up the MPG vs the other carbs as well since this is a daily driver. If you would like a full over view of the carb go check out Muscle Car Solutions and click on the link below.

It's not a Holley knock off, it's what's going to knock Holley Off the Pedestal!!!!
That is the best description for it i have heard so far. My race car "Cookie Monster" has a quick fuel 950 cfm on it..... or should I say had? I will be using one of these from now on.
I don’t know how taking an already existing design and making it better and making it yours is a knock off. Holley fanboys say some stupid sht
I can't believe that the motor swallowed all of that accelerator pump ! Good stuff.
RIGHT, That was why I was laughing when I saw the pump shot.
Nice first start! Eager to follow along with the tuning! VRS for the WIN!
I agree..... for the win. I really was in shock how bitchen it worked right off the bat.
@@SlantDailyGarage I see a day at the track for some test and tune coming soon!
Is an AVS2 booster swap possible?
@@Dr.Frankenstein65 no.
@@Dr.Frankenstein65 Yes 100% going to try that also.
The slant 6 was actually advanced talk about 6 cylinder lawn mower engine 216 chevy with babbited rods rod caps had dipper hooks to dip into oil in small troughs in the oil pan. But for years it was the only engine chevy offered and outsold ford many of those years. They were easier and cheaper to work on. I like your video down to earth. Thanks
Fun stuff. Boy does that Chrysler run nice with the Edelbrock.
I once put a Weber 2 barrel on my old beater Datsun that had a 1 barrel and the same thing happened. I was stunned.
Are you kidding me? Wow, I don't have words.
It’s sounds like a European straight six powered sports car now
Oh I'm so excited.... That was awesome! "I thought it was going to be a train wreck" priceless
Thanks for that video now I don’t even have to think about what my next carb is gonna be. Thanks Super Shane Richardson….
I need one of those! lol
Really great carburetor, Edelbrock knocked it out of the ball park. I wish it had a choke option though.
Need more input!!!!😂 I don’t even know what that carb is and my mind is blown
Pretty damn cool
I'm impressed that all your gauges work! Nice work man
Thanks. Yeah, i have a video in the Lizard King playlist that shows how I did it.
Good video. It makes sense the carb settings work good out of the box is because the slant 6 doesn't put big demands on it.
If my straight 6 behaved that way, I would be real happy lol
Awesome! Love the slant six. What Cam are you running? Sounds great! I couldn’t buy a good one barrel. May switch to this set up. Post more videos.
I designed the cam. The specs are 217/217 on a 106 LSA installed 104 ICL. 0.487"/0.487" If memory serves me correctly
Runs perfectly!
I'm losing my mind! Would be my words. No issues.
I have a Dodge d150 with a slant 6 225 in it I was thinking of switching it to a four barrel cuz I don't have no power on the top end and I also need a RPM gauge I don't have one
Can't go wrong with a carb . Needs a Cross Ram .So you can put another carb on. 😂
Love your videos but how dare you call the leaning tower of power a harbor freight engine 😂
I know... but it really is about the same power density as one of those engines. How about I call it a Briggs and Stratton engine 🤔
how are the cold starts in the winter? considering this one but was wondering how life would be in the winter without a choke. my weather is the same as yours...same town!
It is no proplem. Its like all carbs... pump twice and start. Hold to 1500 rpm for a minute and then go.
Edelbrock for the win !🏁
Holy crap your natural laugh is literally the jokers 🤣 extremely jealous .. but anyway, do you have a video installing your lokars
I must admit, I NEVER thought that I would ADMIRE a GREEN, 4 DR, SLANT 6 '68 Dart! I was right, of course 😂.
Well good because mine is a 1969 dart. Ha ha ha.🤣
How do you like those headers? Considering getting a set for my ‘64 Dodge D100.
They work bitchen.
Killswitch cracks me up..seems the most valuable part of the car is that carb...lol
If only I could afford one.
nice real nice!
Very cool
Should i get a VRS or a dominator style?
Here is the engine i am planning to build = 393 c.i. 10.5:1 XR288HR on 106, Project X215 heads. It is a custom 3.83" stroke inside a stock deck height block 9.025" exactly.
The VRS Carburetor is a way more versatile than the dominator. Plus the VRS can be used on the 4500 bolt pattern. The VRS is everything the dominator wants to be.
That awesome
You just keep practicing, bud, and SOMEDAY you'll be good at this shit 🤣
Is t that over carburation on a slant 6 I’ve been trying to decide four or two barrel
That fuel line sitting above the exhaust is gonna create issues.
It is the lesser of the evils.
Dang the carburetor is worth more than the car
My question lies, I have cowl induction with the seal and all of that jazz, and the seal is pretty tight. I hear these are taller, so I wouldn't have room. Does the air filter sit at the same height while the barrels are elevated?
It is about 3.750" from the base gasket to the flange for the air cleaner. What carb do you have so I can better answer your question.
@SlantDailyGarage It's a FAST EZ efi, which is identical dimensionally to a 4150.
Hola no es muy grande el carburador para la cilindrada de el auto
You seem disappointed you're expensive carb works properly.
Shocked 😲.... not disappointed
Ok
What CFM was it
650 CFM
Not so much a design triumph (though it is lovely) as a product manager who knows his stuff specifying very clever factory settings.
You can set any carb just a little fat, wind the idle up just a little fast, and put gigantor accelerator pumps in it and you will have a very satisfactory first run.
Fuel consumption will be atrocious, but that's what's known as a warm welcome to Holley life, so Edelbrock can get away with it in this case.
Hey Car guy... I was wondering if you were going to let us all in on how Big this is ?????? Like in CFM ?????? And by the way .. your a funny guy .. no return spring why because you were all amped up like some child ..
650 cfm. It is the smallest one we have. Yes i was all amped up. ha ha ha big kid
The engine is over carbaretted..to many CFM's
That is the whole point.
Abnoxious
Thank you for watching.
