Congrats on the 10k mate - you've earnt it! Lanzarote is stunning, those trails look awesome. Question, assuming you flew your bike out there from UK, did you pack your gear in with your bike box? Or did the airline not allow that? Many thanks and happy pedaling ;-)

Thanks mate! Appreciate it :) I always pack some gear in the box, but the bike and racks etc are already pushing the weight limit so if I’m taking the MTB I check in another bag for my camping and camera gear

I was expecting to see some Jawas. Looks like Tatooine ! In parts. Great video as ever!

Haha it’s even more tatooiney on the next island. The wild camping spot I chose on Fuerteventura is almost identical 😛

You took the wrong way out of Uga bud. You went to Femes where, as you say, bikes are prohibited to carryon on the downhill to Playa Blanca. The reason bikes are not allowed is because the next section of road, steep downhill for 1 mile, is very narrow and its difficult for cars to pass safely past bikes. However the real problem is coming from the opposite direction, as the cllmb up to Femes from the Playa Blanca side bikes inevitably hold up traffic. I think bikes should be allowed to desend from Femes toward Playa Blanca as you are descending fairly quickly so holding up vehicles is not really an issue. However in their wisdom the local police banned bikes from travelling either way. You could say you were unlucky as if no police were present you would have carried on or you could say you were lucky as if they stopped you if you had carried on and got you mid-way down you probably would have copped a 200€ fine !!! Look forward to watching the rest of your journey. Good luck

Aye I did! Thanks for the info, I genuinely didn’t even see that sign so good job they stopped me there to avoid the fine 😛

Lovely video, I’ve been on holidays and hiked a few routes. Please just less talking, it’s a bit annoying. A few maps etc. and well get picture. Good luck with the rest of the route.

Thanks. I’ve said this before, but if you don’t like the talking bit, don’t watch it! Can’t please everyone. It’s either, too much talking or not enough. Some people like the detail and others don’t.
