I'd partially agree with u. Personally, I bought a used Samsung S22 ultra, but I was massively disappointed. Remember, not everyone needs 1000s of gimmicky features on the latest phone ! Now, if I need to practice photography, I can buy a used DSLR /pocket camera like ZV1, bcoz believe me even if I got a $1300 smartphone for FREE, I'd never prefer it over a pocketable /entry level DSLR. Practising photography /videography needs hard work, & a smartphone will NEVER give us a learning curve !
Believe me, I was initially happy when I bought S22 ultra, but as months progressed I'm sure its NOT GAS, but I always prefer my DSLRs to take snaps /videos. Moreover, 4k on a phone is not really 4k, it doesn't have the same capabilities as a DSLR.

I just use my GoPros, but then I don’t tend to sit at a desk. I have a superb new big camera it’s the Sony A7CR but have not used it for video creation, it of course is a brilliant photography tool way beyond my iPhone 15. I have been mixing iPhone 15 clips into my filming with the GoPro 12 just out of convenience and they are difficult to tell apart. I have a DJI Osmo 3 on order, looking forward to that for my hand held stuff. GoPro will still be the kind of my action though. Cheers.

Great common sense. I stare at my old Nikon D70s ($1000 20 years ago) and hate the fact that my stinking Galaxy A22 takes better, more convenient shots. Thinking of getting the Huawei P90 as it has the best lenses and specs for a smartphone rather than say a Nikon D780 at three times the price if all my content will be web-based.
