Big missed opportunity here on not hearing what this guitar can do with higher gain. I have one similar to this but with the Duncan JB in the bridge and it's really a work of art. Gotta imagine the stock pickup can get some hard rock action going.
Dave what is the overdrive pedal you are using in this "Awesome" video demo of your G&L Legacy HSS! It has super articulate voicing and great crunch without losing the bottom end like you get from most TS-9 style overdrive pedals and doesn't alter the tone of your base clean signal! I am searching for a pedal that doesn't color the sound of my amp and excels in the "low-medium" gain overdrive territory! I'm a lefty and I want this exact guitar but possibly in a honey-burst or pelham blue finish! I have found a dealer that has about 3 G&L USA Legacy's but none of them have the Humbucker in the bridge! I'm not really wanting to do a brand new custom order unfortunately! Do you have any idea what the lead time would be on a left-handed G&L Legacy HSS! I haven't seen the small switch that allows you to run the humbucker in a single coil mode by itself or when your are in the bridge and middle position! Fantastic playing and tones you were getting and wondering what amp you were playing through as well? Sincerely, Mac Baker
G&L is a good representation of a classic strat or fender style guitars. Unfortunately I purchased a legacy HSS tribute with buzz in the frets, a loose output jack, and high action in the fretboard. G&L needs to really check their quality control and give their costumers 100% satisfaction. I’m a little disappointed.
