- For this video I tried fast train service operated by ČD, named Rychlík Vltava. This service is operated several times per day between Prague and České Budějovice, the capital of the Southern Bohemian region.

Excellent trip report as usual. You are an excellent spokesman for CD as well as Czechia. It seems that Czechia has one of the best rail systems in Europe. Just read it is the second most dense rail network after Switzerland. You have shown us much of it. Keep going!
Compared to whole Europe the rail system is really good. Many Czechs think it’s the worst - only because they really don’t know any else rail system and the problems abroad.
Thank you! Yes, the Czech Republic has a very dense railway network and also the quality of trains is constantly improving. Although we still don't have a high-speed railway here, we have a relatively good transport service and trains run at regular intervals.
@@PeteBrandy I rode ICE from Köln to Frankfurt two years ago to experience German's fastest train and enjoy the passing scenery. The train was late , windows dirty and the ride quality was disappointing...but it was 🚄fast!

Zrovna ve středu mě čeká po dlouhé době cesta právě z Č. Budějovic do Prahy (pojedu s IC 536 Jižní expres). Opravdu dlouho jsem tam nebyl, tak si rád projedu nově zrekonstruované úseky trati.
Ty nové úseky je ideální z posledního vozu z výhledu ze zadních dveří .. pokud tedy nepojedeš na lokomotivě v rámci seznání trati :-D

I always prefer the Rychlik Vltava on this route to the IC (with their too bumpy 1st class carriage). 🙂
I have the same, I don't like the Bistro / 1st class carriages on IC / EC trains.
Another interesting trip. I think it would help those of us unfamiliar with the geography of the country if you could include a map of the route.

Mohl bys mi udělat laskavost a ze Zábřehu na Moravě do Jeseníku s SP 1411 vlak je tažen lokomotivou třídy 750.7 a je obsazen několika českými vozy některé vozy jsou z Brna Hlavního nádraží a některé ze Zábřehu na Moravě
Myslím, že vaše videa jsou velmi dobrá a byl bych rád, kdybyste pro mě natočil reportáž z cesty vlakem

Why are the stations in your videos always so empty?
Because I usually travel during the least busy times. And in this case, I waited for about 30 minutes in the station building until the departure wave of trains ended and the hall was empty for a while.
The windows and exterior/interior look nice and clean. Is it snowing or raining?
Yes, these carriages are well maintained. It was April snow, the last attempts of winter. A week after this journey we have 25 degrees Celsius here.

Do most Europeans prefer compartments over open seating? The USA has only open seating and private room sleepers (which cost an arm and a leg).
According to surveys the ratio is about 50/50. Solo travelers prefer open seating, but groups and some railway fans prefer compartments. I personally prefer open seating, but if it's an empty train, the compartment is more comfortable.

Maybe if the ministry of transportation will order tilting trains for connections on this line.
It would be an ideal route for SC Pedolinos, but they will probably remain on the route Prague - Ostrava.
Are non-air conditioned fares cheaper?
The price is usually the same for all types of carriages on the same route. Prices are mostly calculated by distance and may vary depending on the occupancy of the individual train.
Modern track new cars but same speed
Currently, it is limited by the speed of the locomotives and mostly by some older carriages that still run on this line. The timetable is also set accordingly. But from next year, Class 380 locomotives, which have a higher speed, will probably move to this line.
No, na to že si připlatíš za ty nejjednodušší prvky 1. třídy nic moc... Od Bee se to fakt moc neliší, jsou tam stejné kameny úrazu, a to neexistující opěrka na hlavu a všechny zásuvky na stěně
Ony ty Bee238 a Aee140 jsou skoro totožné, jediný rozdíl je v počtu kupé. Aee140 nepatří mezi mé oblíbené vozy, ale na rychlíky typu Vltava mi přijdou v pořádku. Ono to není vždy jen o pohodlí, ale o tom, že v té 1. třídě je větší klid a méně lidí.
Docela mazec je u Bee 272 protože nemají WiFi ALE Aee 149 1 třída má 🙄@@PeteBrandy na rychlík Labe
