I took a random link here and after briefly looking over the thumbnails to find a pattern I'd love to use, I chose this as my fist video. I like to doodle little vintage style robots and these will work great with those. Anything steampunkish will aways get my vote over florals, but I do enjoy leafy doodles. Thumbs up!
Thank you for that Miss Betsi. Certainly moving in the direction of full blown steampunk. I'm thinking that gears are going to be difficult but I have confidence you will find a way.
I agree gears will be tough, be we will figure it out. ☺
Your math will help you. Gears are all about math. If you really want to get into it, you have to master involute geometry ... but not necessary for doodles. Good luck.

It looks fantastic,loved Firerfly but my favorite was Stargate and now supernatural is king of my shows.And how about drawing those 1960 toy robots.

This was amazing. And no, you aren’t ridiculous or whatever you called yourself. We all doubt ourselves about something. Some more, others less. Me? I doubt everything. I automatically go to I’m going to fail so why even try. I’m still working on that.
Dont know if you’ve heard of him but there’s a channel I used to watch. Peter Draws. He does basically what you did only his is impossibly small and detailed. I have no idea how he does it. Check it out. May give you some ideas. Not like you need any assistance, you’re crazy good.
I follow PeterDraws. His drawings are amazing ☺. I just don't think his intent is to teach, but rather to share the result. It's all good tho. Everyone has a different style.

I don't think a drawing needs to be realistic in order to be successful. I love this for so many reasons, but mostly because you enjoyed creating it, and that's what matters. Girls absolutely can and SHOULD do pipes and gears, why should 'industrial' be just for the guys? Aren't we just as curious about how things work than just a pretty result?
Well said! I would encourage any girl or woman any day to explore complex and intricate subjects for their art. For some reason I felt like that didn't apply to me when I was younger. Ah, how wonderful it is to age and figure out just how wrong we were.
