Okay using the clips that were meant to be used on outdoor tall plants, to hang little bags of snacks is a little too much
also can get some magnet strips and can also put on back of clips and then keep tgem on your fridge
But the little sailboats ⛵️ were adorable 🥰
@AndreaJean …I had to a quick rewind 4x to see if my eyes were playing tricks on me… Girl, when you were using 2 layers of TP to iron seal the chip bag & you held your fingers out to indicate “ 2”, I could have sworn up & down that you were flipping the bird with your middle finger!!! 😂
Funny Story….
It reminded me of my childhood. During an argument, my parents flipped each other off, & when I asked what that meant?… they told me it means “I Love You”…
So naturally I went to school and started telling people I loved them with my middle finger & was sent to the principals office, where my mom had to pick me up & take me home for the day….
When the rest of the extended family heard about it, they all adopted the middle finger as the entire family’s “I love you” gesture & that’s how we all greeted one another at gatherings for 30+ years… 😂
*I was only 7 y.o. when they told me the middle finger = I love you
*after being sent home from school, they explained it was a bad word, & NOT to be used in public, but in our family it honestly became the “I love you” from that day forward. 😂
*I promise I wasn’t raised by hellions… My Grandfather was a small town Preacher my entire life & we were taught Morals & Values, Respect & Kindness.
You’re so patronising
Thankfully I have never seen anyone so obsessed with how to close a chip bag. SMH!
For SURE!!! 😂
Funny. But, you do know how she was just giving you different ideas so you could choose which one(s) you may have the " instrument" for. Not everybody has a binder clip or a paper clip, etc. Some may have one or the other to use, if not all of them. Still, though, your comment made me chuckle. 😸👍
How many ways can you seal a bag of chips. Waste of time 🤣
When I purchase crisps and chocolates they don't even make it to the cupboard! 🤭
Just my opinion, but all of these ways include spending money when you can do it for free by just folding the bag. I like hacks, but not spending unnecessarily to get it done.
Who has time to iron potato chip bags 😂😂😂
Or wants to
I was thinking the same exact thing. Clothes pins are all I use. I hate ironing clothes much less potato chips.
Right!
Think she has too much free time .🤔
I just want to try to keep my chips crunchy. I DO NO IRON THE BAG BUT I DO TRY TO CLOSE IT THE BEST I CAN!!! WHAT IS YOUR WOMENS PROBLEM? JEALOUSY, NO DOUBT???
Allow me to pay it forward... when using tape, any kind of tape to seal a bag like you did or if you're going to apply the tape with the intention of removing it at a later date fold the edge of the tape in so you now have a tab to grab onto when you want to remove the strip of tape. It's such a simple trick but one that saves a lot of time and frustration when all you have to do is pull the flap of tape you made when you folded it over that half inch. Hope that helps!
i was going to suggest that exact same thing, i paint cars ,so i know a million ways to hack tape, it can also work as a measuring device, shim, marker, etc
Been doing that for years!
Exactly! A tip you need to learn early in your life!
I also do that even if I am just labeling something. I fold a side down so when I need to switch it out, it is much easier than digging to get an edge. I also use the big binders to hook a towel onto my kitchen stove for easy hand drying. Those reseal bag ideas are good, but I have found the easiest save cost way to reseal a snack bag is simply to buy one from Amazon or somewhere usually for under 15 dollars but it actually pays for itself. Just takes a little practice and soon you don't have to take out an iron that is cost/energy defective IMO. I like to reseal mine close to the amount still left.
I just plop open bags of chips or whatever into zip lock bags, which adjust to size as the bag empties as you push out the air and can fold them - then use the bags again. For things like cereal I remove the bag of cereal from the box, and usually cut out parts of the box that provide serving size/calories, etc., and maybe a "best by" date.
Another tip. You could save a old news paper & place 1-2 pages into a fresh trash bag. It helps absorbs any liquid that will ends up at the bottom of the bag.
That's a better tip than ANYTHING in this worthless video. Great idea.
I’m not a chip eater, just go old school and put a large paper clip on and call it a day. But finally seeing someone who knows garbage bags are inside out pulls at my heart strings! Good for you!!
Why does it matter?
@@jeanbean1390 it really doesn't matter. The hype of putting a trash bag in a DIFFERENT way is a waste of thought.
Putting it in their way (also my son's way) leaves air in my cans taking away garbage space/ wasting more bags IMO.
EDIT: I'll never accept any cookies or any opened snacks from anyone after seeing this woman use her mouth to extract air from the storage bag with a straw 🤷🏻♀️
@@Connie_From_AZ I put the ziplock bag in water just below the zip. Pressure of the water forces out the air, then seal.
I’m 48 years old and my dad taught me to close a chip bag by folding it when I was little.
I will be trying that baggie hack for sure! Going to make up some meals!
I used two command clips on my trash can, (up side down) then you just hook the handle’s from the bag under it. Works great on holding it in place!
I don’t know how you keep up with all your hints, but there is one that I have always done…fold the top of the chip bag into a point-then fold down 3 or 4 times, far enough for your clip to fit. It keeps contents fresh longer and takes only 1 clip. 🙂
I use clothes pins to close any type of bag. They are cheap, quick, easy and reusable.
I know it's late went threw my phone and saw the wonderful ways you were showing on your video about sealing things together I watched it I loved what I saw God bless your family 💗 young lady ❤️ thanks again 🙋👍🙏🙏🙏
NEVER put extra unused bags on the bottom of your pail. If your bag somehow gets a small puncture or tear near the bottom it will leak garbage juice all over the other bags. I used to do this and learned the hard way lol
My favorite way to keep bags closed around the house is office rubber bands. Easy, keeps it rolled up, hard to fall off and cheap. I roll the bag up and place it around the whole bag.
This is a go-to for us, also.
I use a rubber band too.
Love the PChef twixit Clips!
Tip on removing labels : Use a hairdryer ! On high heat , go back and forth over label a few times , is softens up the glue/adhesive and label comes off super easy !
Discover the label in cooking oil the night before and wash it with dish soap and water in the morning it'll come right off😊
I was told this hack years ago when I parked at the BLM in AZ and they put a sticker on my windshield. The Ranger God me to do that if I had any problems with getting it off. Never have needed to use it, though.
Give me a break - How much attention do chips really need 🤔
You should have dedicated the chip clip part as "50 ways to clip your chip bags" lol
😂😂😍😍
I like the ziplock bag idea. Most of the others are clever but I wouldn't take the time for them, aside from a bag clip. You can buy a mini type "seal a meal", it runs on a battery, i keep it hung on my fridge. It's about only a couple inches and is especially nice to reseal frozen food bags. It even cuts off the excess bag while it seals. You slide it across the bag part you want sealed; like 2 seconds. They're called... mini bag sealers if you wanna do a search.
I've gone through several of these bag sealers, as they don't seem to work for long. My first one was great, but I don't remember what brand it was. Do you have a brand that you like that had been reliable and consistent (not finicky in how well it works)?
I don't know about anyone else but I'm not breaking out the iron to seal a chip bag
Lol!
True !!
Have you ever tried cooking oil to remove stuck on labels instead of goo gone
Just put oil on let it sit come back and comes right off
Just something to try
Love all your videos
Yes that works okay too 👍 thank you!
Oil works really well, so does a dab of peanut butter 🌸
Just get some clothes pins! I have for years. 😅. Geez!
These are great, except it can be frustrating when you are the only one in the household that cares enough to secure the bags. I get frustrated, too, when others in the house rip a bag apart in order to get it opened to the point you have to put the snacks in a ziplock bag; otherwise the content won’t stay in because the bag is pretty much destroyed. Arghhhhhh 😮
I don't even iron my clothes. I can see some home mom ironing the bag shut several times a day after the kids open them up 😂
😂😅
I've always used clothes pins for sealing by chip bags , cereal, extra. Had a friend one day mention, who would use clothes pins to seal their chip bags, she just thought that was so tacky when her husband used to clothes a bag. Laughed and told her I always have used them for that , and of course hanging clothes on the line.
glad you showed each of these ideas, as most of us are 'visual'. However, chips don't last around my house long enough to go to the trouble of getting my iron out :)
I thought the same thing!
hahaha! Are you kidding me with the bandaid on the chips LOL
Food-grade mylar bags are not cheap. Washing out these bags, turning them inside out to dry, then just throw in an oxygen absorber with whatever substance before sealing them, could save you a pretty penny for storage items.🤗
My biggest take away from this is that your nails look great! Can’t say that ways to fold a chip bag are high on my list of things to watch, but I kept watching!
Like the paper clip in sealing chip bags. I agree the adorable paper clips are Not deep enough to secure the chip bags. Thank you Andrea 😊 Joan ❤ 🤍 💙
😂 woman you gave that poor bag of chips a workout 🤣
Gripsticks are all you need. The most amazing modern invention of our time. Lol. My mother in law introduced me to them and I never looked back. Great for frozen veggies too.
Very cool!
That poor bag. Andrea Jean finish those chips and give a good farewell. A lot of good ideas to close it, though. Loved the idea of hanging the bags on the rod.
Thanks for watching!
You’re excitement is contagious….I love you!!!
Great video!! Used to use the chip clip method until we invested in a food saver sealer. It seals all chip bags, cereal bags, cracker bags, etc. The produce bags that you buy for the sealer keeps most produce fresh for at least 3 weeks in the fridge. It is well worth the investment. Approx price range is $45.00 to 100.00.
This video was like ASMR. Thanks
I know that trick with straw and bags. Works great. Have been using it for years.🌸
For the computer idea. I’d like to see if that shrink wrap used on windows would be better. Kee it on permanently for dust and spills. Or what Not.
Ironing the ziplock bag is genius!!!
Yikes! All that noise just to close a hip bag! Loved the first idea with making the two Ziploc bags attach.
I have used the big paper clips to seal my chips. Great ideas!
Living in a rediciouliously small place with little cabinets, and damn few of them, I thought the clips on a rod was genius!👍
The inside out trash bag was interesting.😏
I’m up for decorating my crisp packets forever while holding down a job & raising my family ‼️‼️‼️‼️
Fun tips! It takes us ages to go through chips or a bag of popcorn so my husband just uses our Seal-a-Meal and voila, the treats stay fresh for ages.
Am I the only one who breaks the clips of pant hangers and use as chip clips instead of wasting money to buy jun to do it with
Um….with that a little bit of chips left, just eat them. You know you want to! 😏
Btw - the denture adhesive works with moisture and suction to stick.
I cant get a lot of these gadgets where i amretired to now but..
Clothes pegs
Paperclips and paper clamps
And the fold over plastic clips as per Ikea
All work for me
Thankyou...
I have re play your descriptions some times Andrea..itsyour " southern accent"
With respect....🙂🙂
I was just fixing to suggest this. You can also put a small piece of the bag on the end of the tape then grab that piece to undo the tape and reuse it
I use binder clips like that on many things.I love them
Ora-jel not just for babies I use it anywhere there is pain.
Even used "outside the box" - like removing a splinter. Numb the area first w/ Ora-jel.
That hack of closing bags with the hair roller is pure gold! I have arthritis and poor eyesight, and trying to use the little ties is impossible 😂 And I am ALWAYS misplacing the clips no matter how many I buy🙄(I suspect thieving cats, but I can't say it with certainty.)
❤️❤️❤️
She must go full Joan Crawford on the open chip bags
Andra, you are going old school with the clothespin and paperclip seal for chips. LOL
I love your idea on the hanging chip/snack organizer I intend to place this on the pantry door for this idea.
(Scratching my heart. ) My chips now have a boo-boo?
The taping of the bag is what it does, however, your Deco duck tape is fantastic. now I
can find the ends of my tape.
The Grip Clip is a new one for me. LOVE I
Thank you for the Vacuum sealer hacks. Straw and iron I have.
out of all these hacks, my favorite is your vacuum sealer ideas. Thank you
❤️❤️❤️
Very Clever. 😁🌸Thank you for sharing.
You’re welcome 😊
The garbage bag hack being inside out has really strengthened my elcheapo bags thanks for the attention to detail!
I love the hair rollers as giant twist ties!
Ziploc seals are amazing. The initial cost is well worth it. You can seal anything back. FYI my bacon lasts much longer now
Brilliant!!!!
Chip bags: fold one side diagonally down to the chips then fold the other side diagonally the opposite way down to the ships pulled the top over once or twice and it will keep all of the air out
Can you put the potato chips away now?
😂
Loving those Dollar Tree Jars!😍😍😍
Yasss!! 🎉
Ever since I watched one of your videos lonnng ago.... I have been putting my garbage bag in (on) the "Correct" way ever since!
And it is So-ooo much easier! 👍❤️
I don't even bend down into the can to push the bag down in anymore, my garbage bag goes right to the bottom...
With the first thing I put in it! 😊 😁 No fuss, no muss. 🙌💖
That is awesome!
Ironing that Ziploc bag! That was so cool!
Love watching you!!
So cool!
Great ideas!
Thanks Holly ❤️
If i found a lamp on the beach…one of my wishes would be to make me 20 years younger….then watch out….:)
Cool.
We used binder clips to keep our garbage bags in the trash can when I worked at a group home
The different ways to close a of chips 👍 though, I like the slide on long grip clips.
Hi and thank you. I like the ziploc bags on the keyboard. Great new idea for me😊❤
You’re welcome 😊
? Who doesn’t eat the entire bag of Kettle Chips ?
Cool hack with the tp and iron, never knew you could do that, thanks.
This should be an ASMR video. All the crinkly noises are so soothing. 🤤
I love the rod in your pantry and hang your snack bags, but the plant clips will let you down. I actually use the plant clips on my trailing plants and they break so easily. I would suggest paying a little more and get tapestry clips, they are so strong they would hold a large Doritos bag. The dollar store is great but cheaper isn’t always better.🤪
great tips as usual. I like the hair roller for the chip bag
Thanks Barb!
Considering future air travel by putting drinking water into a zip lock and layer it with other ZLs that have snacks. Carry the original water bottle & lid empty like you will fill it from a tap after TSA check but use zip bag water instead.
Cool ideas
I'll teach you one if you will drill a hold in the bottom of the trash can right in the middle, you won't have to pull so hard when emptying the trash.
Another tip, just eat the chips before they go bad.
I dont think she has to much free time. It is her channel. She is just showing different ways to do things.
You have to try it. Good job.🤩😎
Ha ha you got that right Dianne ❤️ thank you 🙏
the chip bags in the Netherlands are really flimsly and just tear completely when you open them and how long does it take you to eat the bag anyway? In my house the chips don't have time to get old.
I felt so violated for that bag of chips
Lol 😂
I usually just tie a small knot on the end of the drawstring garbage bag n it'll hold nice n secure
Oh wow! At 08:00, I have had that thing in my drawer....forever! Grip Sticks? Got it! Now I can put it to use! Thanks!!
Glad I could help!
Did you find grip sticks at dollar tree?
just fold the plastic bag in half long wise and run a mini straigtening iron on low along it. It seals just fine.
I use binder clips on potato chip bags and it clips both sides down!♡
Garbage bags stay up if you snug the bag to the container with a simple little trick. After lining the can, pull the excess at the top into one hand, twisting the tail end 2-3 times, and then, tuck that under the tight section created...by twisting that extra bit. Your bag will fit as if you had a rubber band on it. Your iron took long time to show up in this video considering the title! Thank you for another fun video.
Thanks Sydney!
I wish I could try that but I can not see that in my mind to try it 😩
@@martasplace6414 When you put the bag in the container it's too loose and wants to fall in. Gently gather that loose edge of the bag, twist it together to make the bag fit more snugly and, tuck the little tail created when you twisted underneath the tightened edge. I noticed this at a hotel I was in once years ago and I've copied them ever since.😆
I missed your cute commentary through out the video explaining what you were doing !! XoXo !!
I agree, I'm not a fan of the asmi,
You’re crushing the chips!
Can do this to get free bagged items. Buy 10 bags of chips open take out half iron them closed you now have 5 bags of chips. And your money back after you return them haha
I use hair tights for all of that and the office clips at home. But if I’m in the office o will use paper clips and whatever I can get ahold of that works.
So many ways to close a chip bag??? When is there ever any chips left in a chip bag??? LOL
Chips never last here to have time tape or glue closed .once a bag is opened ,it’s oh chips ,then it’s usually passed, then it’s through this out for me 😂
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU & YOUR FAMILY. YOU ALWAYS HAVE GREAT 👍 IDEAS ANDREA JEAN. LOOKING FORWARD TO ANOTHER YEAR OF YOUR VIDEOS. FROM DENISE IN MICHIGAN ❤
Thank you! You too!
Knowing myself, i would have the iron & the aluminum foil nearby & then totally forget to iron my chip bag, … & i eat a lot of chips too!!
Enjoyed your video today
Glad you enjoyed it
For the trash can, just use Glad bags
At 99 my mom still used Bobby pins for closing chip bags!
I think you could heat the bag sealed in the middle with a hair wand curler... maybe
Yes 👍
Heat gun is perfect to remove labels
awesome basic yellow in the spray bottle also works when removing glue from stickers, we use it for everything at the auto body shop i work at, it even removes eurethane enamel clearcoat overspray from windows and chrome trim, as a bonus,,,, HOT WATER removes bird crap, and anything sugary , like candy , coffee, soda, almost anything a little child or adult may spill in the car, hair shine will remove gum
Brilliant ideas once again!! LOVED the keyboard one especially! Have a question: Does it matte if the plastic trash bag is inside out? Never paid attention to it before. I also put extra bags in the bottom of mine and also in all trash cans. I fold them up and squeeze out extra air so they don't take up much room & then you always have a new one to put on!
❤️❤️❤️
And no 👍
