  • In today's Episode we review the AtGames Legends GamePad first party controller that have finally started shipping this last week to consumers who placed their own Reservations for it during the February 2021 National Owners Day for AtGames. This controller retails for $35 plus shipping and can be ordered from the AtGames Website (link below). I paid for this one myself and received it today. How does this work with the Built In Games, Pinball Games, AddonX or CoinOpsX Games, and how does it compare with other third party controllers? I had some issues with mine and wanted to share my honest experience with all of you.

    I just about to get one of these controllers for my legends gamer mini but I was wondering I have an 8bitdo SNPro plus controller would this work well with coinopsx , can you use the analog sticks in some of the games that require twin sticks,trackball,or the spinning dial and will it work as a 2nd player controller if player 1 is using the arcade stick? I know it's a lot to ask but I would love to know if it'll work or not.

  • @KongsRUs
    @KongsRUs Před 3 lety

    Nice review dubs! Agree that this was a product that already had many other options for 3rd party controller support so it's one of the reasons I passed on it. Maybe an example of AtGames branching out a littler further than needed, but it was a nice effort

    Thanks for the warning. Sorry to see you received a broken one. Glad I didn't order this. Hope your ticket goes well. Honestly I've been really let down by their support. I have a pinball table and an arcade pro stick, both have odd little quality issues that AtGames hasn't been willing to help with. I love the concept of their products, but the quality isn't there. Which is a big shame, as I like seeing more than just arcade 1up out there.

      @@PDubsArcadeLoft I used it wirelessly on my Legend. Haven’t tried the Core yet. D-pad worked fine. Zaccaria tables worked fine, but there’s no button mapped to Rewind so I couldn’t even start the Farsighted tables because you hit Rewind to start the table.

  • @wryker
    @wryker Před 3 lety

    Now I gotta go back and see how mine will 'last' - I got it a week ago but never connected it yet - but I did after seeing your 'headline'. Got it connected Bluetooth easy-peasy on my ALU 1.1. And, after trial and error, figured out the flippers/nudge buttons and played a Zac table without any issue. I went to play Aladdin and got confused since there's no "C" button but it did work but after watching your vid all the way through - I'll now go back and test out (more-so than what I did) the D-Pad...

    • @wryker
      @wryker Před 3 lety

      Well after updating the firmware on the 1.1 today - it no longer sees the controller or if I press to reconnect/find it - it doesn't show up as available to connect. Frustrating

    • @wryker
      @wryker Před 3 lety

      Ok. Did what I should have tried - rebooting the ALU (again) and it found it and connected. Played some games and no issues w/the DPad. I played 1941 on CoinOpsX and it took me several times to figure out how the heck I was rewinding the game when I wasn't pressing anything - turns out the rewind occurs if you press down on the joystick. So while playing and trying to fly around - I inadvertently kept pressing down on the joystick. As someone who's not used to such a controller, I'll have to get used to it.
