  • In the second part in this series, we show you how to take your Softr game to the next level showing how to build a fully no-code and fully automated eCommerce Store.
    This video specifically shows you how to build the cart functionality into your No-Code eCommerce store built in Softr. You might like to use a specific 3rd party no-code tool to provide this functionality, but we like to build using the least number of no-code tools possible, keeping our no-code tech stack budget at a manageable level! And for that reason we have worked out how to build this cart functionality using our tried and tested tools in Airtable, Integromat, Softr & Stripe - with no need to take on the additional subscription of a dedicated eCommerce Cart type tool.
    Softr continues to release new powerful features, almost weekly at this stage, and in the race for the airtable front-end, in my books it is pulling ahead of the competition.
    Stripe is a highly flexible, highly functional, and highly secure payment processing technology. Traditionally it was really only usable by developers and coders, but they have made some very clear moves in 2021 toward the no-code space. In this tutorial series we show you the best no-code ways to integrate Stripe with your Airtable & Softr web apps, using Integromat as the bridge between the No-Code world, and the developer / coder world of Stripe.
    In future videos planned for this series we show you further advanced features surrounding all things Stripe integration, including how to build a fully functioning marketplace in your Softr app using Stripe Connect, and also how to create an invoicing webapp. So stay tuned. 😎
    What functionality would you like to see on a tutorial on in future? Let us know in the comments below.
    This is the link to the no-code eCommerce stores we are building with you step by step in this tutorial series - if you would like to play around with it:

    No-Code Tools 🔧 used in this video:
    1\. Softr.io - a visual developer for making web pages and web applications using pre-built blocks & templates:

    (Note: the Softr link above is an affiliate link and I will be paid a referral fee if you sign up through my link; Thank you in advance for supporting me and my channel!)
    2\. Airtable.com - a database that looks and feels like a spreadsheet, but with all the power of a database plus automation tools and a deep network of integrations with other no-code tools: www.airtable.com
    3\. Stripe.com - Single handedly created the payment infrastructure of the internet, and now making themselves no-code friendly as well.
    4\. Integromat - like Zapier, but more cost effective, with more capabilities. Although it does have a steeper learning curve.
    As always, thanks for watching and talk to you soon!
    Apologies if I dwell on certain points in the video, or get lost in a stutter or a ramble or a tangent! As with all my videos, they are one shot takes with no rehearsal and no retakes! Sorry if quality not great throughout, but hopefully the content and subject matter is worth it!! 😎

    Hey Jamie! This is amazing! You are the first person I have seen who has solved this issue! I work for a non-profit in South Africa that is trying to set-up a cart functionality in our Airtable back-end to help informal business owners. I would love to talk to you about our solution. Checked the site and Linkedin and couldn't find your contact. Hope to hear from you.

    I am so confused with my flow. I've set it up and tried several different variations, but I cannot get my softr site to re-direct. The integromat messages look good, but not anything else. Does this redirect method still work for you?

      Hi Trisha! Yep just checked the shirt.softr site I go through in the video and still working! Let me think... would you like to send me a link to your site and ill have a quick look... If you prefer not to share here you could share in the no-code.ie community?

      Hi, I am not sure if Trisha’s problem got solved but I am now experiencing the exact same issue that the redirection step from Webhook to Softr just doesn’t seem to work. I tried to do it two ways: 1. As per the video with {"redirect": "xxxx"} and 2. As per Integromat docs (www.integromat.com/en/help/app/webhooks). I have built a separate simple app with two forms just to illustrate the issue (one form triggers webhook response as per method 1 above and another per method 2). In those forms my Make flow doesn’t have any other modules other than sending data to Make and then redirecting to bbc.com and in both cases redirection fails. Link to app: kandi572.softr.app/. I checked the shirt.softr site and redirection there still works so I am really at a loss how come the exact same step fails on my sites. Would you happen to have any idea? Really appreciate your help!!!

      @@indres4 I'm having the same issue, have you added the custom script he talks about in the video? He said Softr natively won't redirect a webhook response from a form.

    Hello, love your tutorials however I am struggling with getting Make to redirect at the end. I have added the code to my header however once I submit form, it does not redirect. Any help would be appreciated 🙏

      Hi Nick, Softr went through a bit of an upgrade in Sep Oct 2022 time, there is now an updated script for the redirect (for use with new form blocks) and you can find it in our community or in the official softr community just search "redirect" hope this helps!

    The redirect code here no longer works since the forms were updated to react, the code that does work is:
    window.addEventListener('submit-form-success-form1', (e) => {
    const response = e.detail.response || {};
    const data = response.data;
    if (data && data.redirect) {
    window.location.href = data.redirect;
    }
    });

    Hey Jamie, I’m having issues with the http module on Integromat. It shows that the module works fine but it isn’t creating the new user in Softr. Could you please help me with this issue?

    • @no-code
      @no-code  Pƙed 2 lety

      Hi Ibrahim, thanks for watching! At the time of making this tutorial ther was no native Softr.io module in Integromat (now Make!). The HTTP module should still work, but if you cannot get it to work for you, might be worth trying out the native Softr.io integromat module (which is now available!) instead? If still hitting a dead end, let me know!
