Really nice design, with lots of subtle touches that really take it to the next level! That steel pull is pure class.
Love that drawer pull feature, bro! Killer piece
yea man it came out awesome. Glad you dig it
I love that you show your mistakes. I too will admit I have made the drawer correct and then, using the same Blum undermount slides, installed them on the drawer in the wrong orientation. Mine was worse than your gap and I had to make another drawer. Live and learn.
haha yea theyre always tough but this one worked out well i think!
Awesome build! Love the drawer and the pull you made for it!
Great to see you loving the jig John!
its coming in handy !
Good call on just making a new drawer. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.
yea brother. Not the most time effective. but worth it
Great project
Thanks Martin ! Glad you enjoyed it
been thinkin of making a couple of these exact same design. cheers!
Came out great.love the pull 👍👍👍👍
Nice build John, I love the look and metal/wood contrast.
Thanks Taylor! Glad you dig it
I made floating side tables very similar to this on my (new and very small) channel a little while ago, it’s good to see how different people use different techniques.
Love the channel by the way John, cheers from Australia.
That’s awesome I’ll have to check them out
looks like a drum sander is next on your shopping list. nice job
For sure is !
I like the design of the table...and....nobody’s perfect. Learning from our mistakes is the thing! Good Vid, thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it Tom!
Nice table. Glad to see the whole project
glad you enjoyed it brother
That Katz-Moses jig is super cool! Saw Shawn Boyd use it and now you on this build. Love that its modern but still beefy. Great build John!
Thanks bud!
Glad you like it
I love the minwax stains. My Dad used to use early american and american walnut all the time.
Wow dude, it’s cool to see how far along your video production has come! Goals right there!
Nice work! When you think about it, the mistake with the drawer size was a blessing in disguise. It gave you the chance to practice cutting dovetails some more! I know for me at least, any opportunity to practice is welcomed.
yes mickey! you nailed it. I got to fix it correctly, and do it the right way!
Awesome work John! 😍👍👊
Thanks Fred
Your channel has really improved sence this was made. This is one of my favorite channels. Always look forward to new content.
I love your work
Yay! Thank you!
Great build! Thanks for leaving your mistakes in the video. Shows that we all mess up.
nobody is perfect!
You definitely punched this one in the face, John! It was great seeing how you powered through the mistakes and kept going, that's never easy! And it was awesome seeing you put the Katz-Moses jig to work after this weeks podcast! Gotta get me one of those and give dovetails a try....
snag one up , link in the info! Give those pesky dovetails a try
I agree! Hahaha
Thanks for sharing the mistake. Cool to see you work through it.
Glad you enjoyed it !
Ahh, the satisfaction of a well fitting drawer! :-) Another good one, big man. Thanks for showing the good and the bad. May just be me, but it seems like you're improving your skills dramatically. It's showing in your designs and final results. Great work, John. Troy
Really glad you’re enjoying it ! Thanks for the support
Love this! Sending to me hubby 😉
Great work and perseverance. You didn't bodge the draw you remade it and that took guts.
Great job. It looks very heavy.
its not that bad. it is solid though
Really like this video, especially the showing the mistakes! Curious where you buy your hardwoods. I'm south of the burgh in Morgantown and I'm having a terrible time finding a lumber yard. I would drive to Pittsburgh for a quality hardwood dealer. Have any recommendations? Keep it up man really enjoy your builds!
There is a woodcraft in canonsburg with a solid hardwood selection and another yard in Mars PA called Mars Lumber
Who makes that red saw you use in the video? And where did you find it?
red oak niiiiiice
White oak
white oak? have a very similar project which I'm about to start on.
Yep it is white oak
almost 100k! sweet, i remember when i won the 5k giveaway. it doesn't feel like it was that long ago.
Wow man that’s true! So glad to see you’re still a fan!
definitely! you do great work and i enjoy watching the process
Looks awesome. Little mistake but the end result is great
always gonna have mistakes, none of us are perfect
John Malecki that’s right. Hey are you going to Festool connect ?
as of right now I am not unfortunately
dope
Thanks peter
John is it me or is your dust collector in a permanent state of being full. That light was on for 5 different days by my count of your shirt changes 🤣🤣🤣
Hahaha yep! Always full . Need a bigger can
@@John_Malecki just get one that empties into a dumpster
I like that this was all hand work... more work for you, but nice end project.
Yea it was a lot of work, but well worth it!
Great build. Thanks for including human errors! We all do it. 👊🏻
Glad you dig it !
You know a CZcams woodworker is making it when the number of Festool tools increase with each video lol great video
I actually dont think I have bought a new Festool tool since going full time on CZcams haha. But thank you Steven
the fun of woodworking, making mistakes, lol, have done all those and will probably repeat them again.
Yea no one is perfect
Not picking your videos apart...but one suggestion, lighting! Kinda dark in your videos. Great content...just kinda dark.
It’s an emphasis on the new shop. I legit have no lights in part of the shop! Thanks for the suggestion brother
@@John_Malecki not a problem. Your content is great! You and Brad are doing a fantastic thing with your podcast also! Thank you for you contributions to the community!
If you are not making mistakes you are not not learning.
Always making mistakes, figure why not show them off
You don't have a good planer but you have Festool Domino DF 700? 😂
I've heard good feedback about the Woodglut plans.
I learnt nothing from this nice design though
