Prepared food, also known as meal kits, comprise edible ingredients mixed with various additives, including food additives, which are pre-processed into semi-finished or finished products. Noted for their long shelf-life and convenience, these meal kits have been popular in China for several years, predominantly utilized in restaurants, fast-food joints, and for preparing takeouts.

Meanwhile European food manufacturers are coming up with ways to do the same using real food ingredients and a select few harmless additives, often just salt and citric acid. The trick is in atmospheric packaging, there's no need for all those chemicals. I'm eternally grateful to the EU for taking fundamental stance on food safety and quality. Most of the substances listed in the beginning have never been permitted on the EU market, not in domestic products and not in imports.

@@user-bo1cf4gb1t That is one explanation, but I am under the impression that this isn't the point here. The CCP wants chinese children under their control, that is what people like Xi have grown up with and that is how they want things to continue. They want children who love the party more than their parents and the system the CCP created is trying everything to get them under its control. So feeding those children toxic crap and then denying the parents to at least provide their children with real food is making quite a statement.
I mean, the video shows an example where the school guards deny children to re-enter the school after dinner with the quite telling explanation that they've failed to consume the crap served by the school. This is not about order or about preventing potentially dangerous situations, if you make _that_ an argument, you can't allow parents to bring their children to school and collect them in the afternoon all at the same time either. This is about control and about the CCP making crystal clear who is in in charge and control of China's children.

    A parent’s love is such a beautiful thing. ❤
I’m really sad that parents are being put into this situation to begin with.
Unfortunately this problem isn’t just happening in China…this same type of fight is currently going on in countless schools, all over the world.
Only time will tell just how much damage these highly processed/synthetic foods will cause future generations.😞💔
(For clarification; I’m definitely not anti food processing, or a food “purest”. I believe scientific innovation is vital for the longterm survival of our species. I just understand that there is no *innovation* without *experimentation* ….and the concept of school lunches basically being used as pipelines to turn children into longterm lab rats for this stuff-it’s beyond repulsive, unethical and infuriating. What do you think the reaction would be, if these foods became the only option for government official’s children to eat for lunch at _their_ schools? Do you think they would approve of the idea and would start pushing for that change to be made? No, of course they wouldn’t. Because they know it’s unhealthy and wrong).

They have to tell us that and we can actually complain and be heard. The corruption is so deep they can do it in their face and get away with it

When I was a kid I would take my lunch to school with me. It usually consisted of sandwiches, some cake and a piece of fruit. It was in a tupperware lunch box. I would also have a plastic bottle with some frozen drink in it. By lunch time the drink would have thawed out and I would have a nice cold drink with some frozen bits in it. This was in Sydney, Australia.
The food was healthy, fresh and relatively inexpensive. Why don't they just do the same thing in China ?

Prepackaged isn’t the problem. It’s the quality control and figuring out what preservatives are safe . Technically salt is a preservative and is a necessity for our body. Fresh fruits and veggies take time to reach people and loose their vitamins during the trip . In most cases canned and frozen are actually more healthy .
