Trivia note: The U.S. game show The Amazing Race has been on for 36 Seasons, & yet they have been to Ethiopia for only 1 of them; Season 6 (which aired back in 2004).

A movie about Chinese exploitation of Ethiopians. I've been to Hawassa (the city that industrial park is located) several times. The general consensus of the Ethiopians living there is they are exploited by the Chinese. I think it's good to invest in Ethiopia but treat the people well. Pay them fairly. Those people working there most likely get paid $50-$100 USD a month. Think about that while that lady is calling employees inefficient.
I have been working there for the last 5 years and sadly the minimum wage for a sewing operator was 21$ not even close to the range you mentioned.
@@colspleasures3416you are earning 4 times average salary of420 birr ,21 dollars means around 1200 birr ,in an year 14000 birr ,one of middle end salary ... not that bad ...but compared to other countries low but in your country it is higher end ...
The Ethiopian Government & the administrators want a good beating for allowing foreigners to come from sooo far from overseas and treating the people like slaves in their own country. Big shame on the Government officials! Sad!!!
@@dawitshashemene6655 All the people working in those factories work there voluntarily... They are escaping a lack of jobs. You can blame the government for not providing well paying jobs but slavery this is not.
Stop crying! Why would the exploited become exploited to begin with? As if human nature doesn't have the tendency to exploit others if given the chance!
