- New York City is taking drastic measures to combat crime in its subways by deploying more than 700 National Guard members and more than 250 state and MTA officers. In addition, riders can expect to walk through high-tech metal detectors at some stations and be subjected to random bag checks. Former NYPD officer Bill Stanton joined "NewsNation Now" to discuss the heightened security and said he thinks random bag checks are "a big mistake for various reasons."

I'm from Jakarta, Indonesia. Our metro / public transportation system is very safe, I never heard any incident of people getting pushed onto train tracks, or random attacks. There is not a single homeless person loitering in our subways/metro too. No police presence, but there is a metal detector and bag check at every MRT/subway station in jakarta
You now why need all the security? Is because people's from around the world live in USA in the crimen is so violent that's why you see 😮
