  • Bow hunting turkeys can be among the most challenging endeavor of the spring pursuits. Several factors have to come together to make for a successful hunt. Making sure you have sufficient shooting lanes along with proper shot placement is critical for making a clean harvest with archery equipment. On this hunt from 2016, Edward accompanies longtime friend Billy Handle as they stake out two Big Virginia Longbeards on a beautiful powerline in Southeast Virginia. Shot placement here was not the best. The gobblers slowed down coming in and didn't want to separate. With the forgiveness of the Schwacker expandable broadheads, this gobbler got to ride out with us.
