Iâve had it so long tried everything nothing works it always comes back
Sulfur helps. Currently using a Sulfur soap and body oil with neem, tea tree, oregano oil, and jojoba oil
Agree. Topical sulfur compounds can be very effective. Unfortunately they often have a really bad smell associated with them.
can send the link where can i buy it?
Do you guys know any moisturizers for Tinea that I can use after the shampoo? I find it that my skin gets really dry after showers and itâs really irritating :/
@@DoctorpediaYT doc I'm 29 see the doctor tomorrow noticed patches pop up on my back few days little bit worried research suggest none of the possible diagnosis sound great I'm a big gym fan and also use the spa sauna and steam room would this have helped me catching this disease? With the sweating ? I've always had good skin but I do work out side in the building trade and top less most of the summer .
I see the doctor tomorrow but have already started using nizoral and selsun 2.5%
Oil of oregano and coconut oil works better than any treatment I have tried, dealing with it for over 30 years
I will try that. I just had a horrible allergic reaction to selenium sulfide 2.5%. My skin got all red and hot and itchy!
How to apply please tell me
Use any oil only or use both
I used the medicine for a month now and it stopped it from spreading but the infected part on the skin is still dark.what sjould i do?
I had my back full of white spots , selsun blue cured it .. but I have three of the same white marks on my face they will NOT , fade away have had them for over a year now , :(
Selsum blue has the active ingredient in it too.
it hides in the skin. so nothing works but scraping it with a knife first then using chemical
The FDA issued a warning about Ketoconazole saying it can cause liver damage which may lead to death. Is it worth it?
I would recommend not doing oral ketoconazole but topical ketoconazole is fine to use for the vast majority of people.
i had this thing for so 20+ years i hope this Nizoral shampoo work cause it needs to come off đ€ŠđŸââïž
@Aber man well its working for me
@Aber man it could mean that you have candida, i keep telling people that's the only best way to stop the fungus from spreading is to get their candida in check, that's what causing the Tinea versicolor, spread but not one believes me at all and some do and they got rid of the main two issues
@@truegamer2819 did this shampoo get rid of all of it? Did it come back? Whatâs your update?
@@Da9ine5ive no infact its killing the fungus slowly but my chest and back is recovering it clear half of my back within a couple of months then my chest is starting to clear up as well
I have it tooo...Don"t know what more to use cause its coming back...Who can help me???
Doctor, is salicylic acid effective for this kind of disease? Because I've seen a couple of people use it
Not that I know of.
@@DoctorpediaYT doc I believe I ha e this few spots come up on my back I sent photos into my local doctors waiting for them to look them because of covid no face to face or they try not too so still waiting for them to contact me in the mean time I've started using nizoral cupple times a week and selsun 2.5% been using it about 5-6 days now I have a cuplle questions 1. When will I know my strategy is working with the shampoos ? I've have read that colour can take time (a few months maybe) to come back so how will I know I'm gaining control and killing the fungus ? And 2. Is when.shampooing do I put it on neat as a loton then expholiate and wash off after 10 minutes ? Or do I put it on a wet back leave for 10 minutes then wash off?
I have checked 3 skin specialist and use 1 month medicine creams, capsule, and shampoo but my patches same like this my problem 0% solve
I notice since i wear mask iam having this on my face.seems. its under my skin is becoming white spots specially where mask is worn .đŠ
I had this infection but now it's get faded .what does it mean doctor? I am using selsun blue for 5 days regularly
You apply it tou your body?
so should i try nizoral shampoo?
I use nizoral 1% daily and selsum twice a week no lotion and itâs finally gone I had it so bad.. lather scrub than dry off really good no lotion cause it defeats purpose
Try rubbing Selsun Blue shampoo on the area and leave it on for a few minutes
Thatâs the first thing everyone triesđ
Is it only the blue one which works?
@@vanessad5 the one that says medicated but it smells strong I use nizoral daily and selsum twice a week.. I had it bad like really bad I lather and scrub it on me in shower use no lotion on skin after and it will work
they need to put these in bigger containers.
they purposely put Nizoral in small containers to keep you coming back to buy more
After 15 years, and not one success story. I think it's safe to say this is incurable.
Yeah, I've pretty much resigned myself to 1) wearing as few clothes as possible, always keeping my trunk as ventilated as possible and 2) getting ample sun time on front and back when it is the season. Keep the body as cool and dry as possible, not much else to do.
Use Sulfur Cream it works magic thank me later
Try rubbing Selsun blue shampoo on it
Iâm taking fluconazole, Iâll update if it helps
How is it a week after
Did you get any effective results
Blou Bear so far itâs going away! Thereâs no redness and it isnât inflamed. I just have white patches on my skin, but it should start to even out and go away!
Shreya Banerjee so far itâs going away! Thereâs no redness and it isnât inflamed. I just have white patches on my skin, but it should start to even out and go away!

I've been suffering from this fungi disease for 10 years. And I've been switching soaps and cream but still no effect.
Same here....have been having that issue since l was around 18 now um 30..have tried so many people things to the extent of using epiderm(its a skin lightening cream). So l had to live with a fake complexion but 2 years ago l said no enough is enough let me live my skin like that coz l was tired of the fake complexion. But l googled and got information on the name and some treatments....so yesterday l bought selsun 2,5% shampoo to apply as lotion, um seeing a really great change in just a day but irritates my skin , it's inflamed
Goddess Privy Ndlovu where did you buy that?
@@LJ-oo5lc Dischem Pharmacy
@@goddessprivyndlovu9061 hello! how often do you use it? I got a medication for it which cleared the itching and i have selsun but didnât use it a lot. I started this in about march and now in october iâm not noticing much difference (mixed race for reference) should i be using it more âčïž thank u in advance !!
@@lonetraveller123 this is my 14th day and l have been applying it as my daily lotion, it dries up the skin though then it burns it then it peels the dead skin off, the results are good really good, the dead skin is peeling off and the new skin is so smooth...l almost stopped using it on day 3 coz my skin literally got burnt like black burnt as if l was burnt by a fire, the burning continued until the skin died & started peeling off
What about if it happens on your face what is the prevention
Mine is on my facs
fluconazole helpfull...?
Yes v helful for recurrent cases
Go see your derma early on. I burned my skin with otc creams
Well I just burned my skin with prescription shampoo and cream, so...
I've been taking antifungal pills and using omi cream but as soon as I stop they come back.
I have this too omg. It's the worst đ«
Try doing the ketoconazole shampoo to the affected area twice a week once it is gone to keep it from coming back. Should help!
@@DoctorpediaYT dr please can I use thise shampoo for the face?
Which pills are you taking? My doctor prescribed fluconzole 4 pills for 2 weeks.
@jen which antifungal pills did your doctor prescribe?
Im only 17 years old but this is covering my whole back. Which is hella frustrating
I understand. Hopefully the tips in the video will help.
I got this being a sweaty boy for 3 years now. Struggles are real.
i got this at the age of 14 and have it on my back and stomach and donât know what to do about it
You should go to a dermatologist I went and they prescribed me with a cream and shampoo
@@googlemeets9672 did it work?
@@lukeskywalker5418 it did but It depends because mine is not fully gone but it is starting to fade away
@@googlemeets9672 how often do you do the treatment?
@@lukeskywalker5418 you put the cream on twice a day morning and night and for the shampoo you apply it for 5 mins then rinse it off with warm water, put the shampoo on the fungus spots
Nothing worked for me sadly. Ketoconazole cream used to work when I was little. It doesnât anymore. In fact, no topical azole creams work for me. Sulfur soaps, selenium sulfide shampoos did not work either Iâm so frustrated :(
Use oral terbinafine 250
I think I have this any help here please I just found out about the shampoo but a dermatologist gave me minocycline it took it off but it made me so sick even now I am still not the Same but its back and I look horrible my back neck chest and the sides of my face it looks dark than my complexion it it because am dark skin?
Buy Terrasil for this. It has worked great for me. It cleard it for me though it did come back after 3 to 4 years but those years were nice not having the itch, burn, stinging, and flare ups. Be sure to buy the Terrasil product for Tinea. They do have products for other skin issues. This is probably your best option. I have Tinea covering about 85% of my upper body and that's the only product that has worked great for me.
Also Terrasil is an organic paste that you apply to your body so it'd probably have a very low chance to cause any problems unless you're allergic to any of the ingredients.
I will definitely try it thanks
My daughter is 6 years old her skin have a lot of white spots I took her to many doctors but no can help most of this white spots is on her foot
Look into Terrasil. It's organic and could be worth a try if that's what she has. It's the only thing that seems to work for mine and it clears it up for a few years. I'm not an organic natural everything kind of person lol just it has worked great for me.
I just noticed this on my neck and shoulders, sticks out like a sore thumb cause im dark skin. seeing a dermatoligist soon so hopefully it goes away with whatever they prescribe me
Howâd that go if you donât mind me askin?
@@romeyrome3274 My Dr prescribed me some ketocanazole 2% shampoo. Iâve been using it for the past month and it disappeared completely on portions of my upper neck but still noticeable around my shoulders and lower back area , so I would say itâs working , but might take months for it to completely disappear
@@fidelyo123 oh ok that is good to know that it helped with some of the issue! Thanks for your reply and I hope all of yours goes away!
