Respect to Felder for his demeanor seeing Dan Hooker get finished, the look on his face is really how we all felt watching that. John Gooden did a great job keeping the commentary centered, much like how Jon Anik does it. I really appreciate when commentators can stay present with the viewers even in the craziest moments. Also what an amazing crowd, watching the event felt like one big party for all of them.
I didn't feel that way watching it.
When you fight someone they have a little say in your legacy how they perform in future !!!

Gooden, Bisping and Felder are definitely the best commentary team for UK based cards. They bring their emotions out and get swept up in the hype like Joe Rogan used to do in the early days. They banter and have fun without detracting from the action in the cage and dare I say they're naturally funny being around each other
I would argue that Gooden should be brought in more for other cards as well, not just the UK. He's very good for the reasons you said as well as being quite knowledgable about the fighters and techniques. Unique voice and calling style as well.
Paul Felder is the absolute GOAT in that seat. Gotta feel for him and Hooker as well, it's clear that Paul genuinely cares about him and wants him to do well.

I have nothing but pure respect for Paul Felder.. the look on his face when Dan Hooker lost really hit me. This man went to hell and back with him and became his brother.. to see his brother fall, he fell.. mad love Mr. Felder. You are a true King and one of the finest ambassadors of the sport.

You can tell how gutted Paul was for Dan, heâs been on commentary the 3 times the guy has been finished since their fight, probably realizes him and Dustin are somewhat responsible for Dan not being the same guy he used to be.

@@rm3869 I don't think they are really, but when you share the octagon with someone for 25 mins in a brutal war, you leave a part of yourself in there with them and you kind of grow an unspoken bond. Happens all the time.
Felder was visibly devastated seeing Hooker get finished.
Hope we get more cards in Europe for John gooden alone lol. Perfect commentary team loved every minute with those three.

The UFC should really get John Gooden over to more US cards, he's a very good commentator with a distinct style that really shouldn't be limited by the cards being in the UK/Europe.
I get a kick out of Paul. He wears his heart on his sleeve. You could see when Molly won he regretted voicing doubt. When Dan Hooker gets put out Paul is visibly defeated, because he himself couldn't beat Hooker.
Felder was robbed
When you lose to someone after going 5 hard rounds, sometimes you just want the best for that person because you shared a real moment with them. I think that's why felder was disappointed when Hooker lost

Yo that 1st ko by paddy home girl not only was sensational but it was also a hellavu a fight! That girl was actually starting to come back and was winning the 3rd before that, but she was in deep sleep and that spinning elbow was so great! Prolly the best women's fight I've seen in years!

John Gooden is the English version of Jon Anik, descriptive during the craziness, calm and exiting at the same time. To his credits, Anik is still levels ahead.
