not gonna lie, jon anik gotta have the best commentary voice now. dude always hypes me up commentating. whenever someone gets that finish and he screams their name, the adrenaline is just crazy. favorite commentator used to be joe rogan, but now it's jon anik no doubt.
Rogan is still the best but Anik has stepped things up SO much!! He's awesome and I'd take him over Goldberg any day of the week!! Rogan kills it at color commentary and Anik is the master at play by play
@@RushISVarietyB rogan has my favorite play by play commentary during the fight, but post fight finish anik is undefeated. dude has said so many legendary things like “WHO CAN STOP CHARLES OLIVEIRA”, “KAMARU USMAN WITH A HUGE SHOT, STILL UNDISPUTED”, “ISRAEL ADESANYA… IS THE UNDISPUTED KING OF THE MIDDLEWEIGHTS”, or the infamous custody battle and the “that is not the cloth from which he is cut” during leon vs. kamaru 2… it’s like dude just becomes a poet lmfao

DC taking his headset off and saying “I fucking love this sport” is so wholesome because who the hell saw that Sean Strickland performance coming? Absolutely NOBODY, that’s why we love it man… it’s the most unpredictable sport in the world, no matter what the oddsmakers say.
I wonder if that’s why betting is so much bigger in boxing than UFC

That dude at 9:42 needs a raise.... he was caught up in the hype for a split second and then saw that Joe gorilla'd Jon Anik out of his chair. He caught him, fixed his chair, audio cords, and made sure he was comfortable all before the screaming had stopped 🤣👊

Brandon Fitzgerald has to be the most underrated commentator. His play by play is always on point, he’s got a great voice and keeps it together when shit goes down. Love to see him on more PPVs in the future
He’s super underrated. He also made one of my all time favorite calls -
When Valentina absolutely vaporized Cachoeira, Yamasaki FINALLY pulls her off the poor girls corpse… and as she’s standing up, turning around, covered in blood, Fitz says “Flyweight division… say hello to your worst nightmare”.
Seems basic, but his perfect timing and inflection paired with the visual of Valentina soaked in blood, climbing off of the puddle that was her opponent was SO gangster. It was one of those moments where the call really cemented the moment for me.
Fitzgerald definitely doesn’t get the credit he deserves. I also love Sanko. She’s SUPER knowledgeable and adds a lot to the broadcast

Gotta love how the commentators who've actually competed (DC, Felder, Rogan in Muoi Thai, Bisiping, etc) often react very differently than the commentators who haven't (Jon Anik, etc). Noticed the fighters react a lot more sympathetically often, and also look to each other after big punches. Very unique and intriguing comradery fighters have.

I love how while DC and Cruz were both cracking up seeing Chandler run away from Dumont, you see the people in the background also in shock and laughing. I've watched a lot of fights where I've seen someone get rocked and run away backpedaling while still at the very least square and looking at the person, but never have I seen someone full on turning their back and BOOKING IT.
