Oh, it doesn't take that much. I spent hundreads rolling on Standard for Qiqi and got her in about 600 pulls. that's WITH bad luck.
@@AngieB12345 Maybe with Bennet luck! I also spent thousands total on the game, just hundreds on Standard alone and I got almost all the standard banner characters before I got Qiqi!
Another cool side effect of this banner - though it’s niche - is that you can now “lose” your 50/50 to a limited character, which isn’t possible otherwise. It basically now becomes possible to get a limited character constellation for a character you already own and wouldn’t otherwise be rolling for. (Which is in most cases more useful than a standard character constellation.)
While I agree this would have been better on the standard banner system/blue fates, this seem really nice for getting a standard character that you actually want or being able to get their upgrades instead of spending infinite wishes on other banners and hoping to get lucky. Which is especially intimidating as a new player. I’m tempted to use this to get Klee or Jean
Blue fates would be way worse, we get like what? 10 of them a month and that's including the battle pass? So 2 years to guarantee a character if you went right to 90 each time, not including losing the guarantee if banner ends, blues would mean some people would never get the character
I don't mind how these banners work because I almost always save 180 wishes before actually wishing anyway, but I can see how it'd be annoying for other players. I am excited for being able to guarantee standard 5-stars because there are a couple characters and weapons that I kinda need for teams I wanna run, so that'll be nice.

This banner is good for people who waited years to get a certain standart 5*.
Or for newer players who can use any of the 6 featured 5*, with potentially getting their favorite of these when lucky.
Pulling wihtout 180 wishes save is only worth it if you don't care who of the other 5* you will get if you lose your 50/50.
Or if you think majority of them is better then losing the 50/50 on the special banner.

I don't see how spending 180 wishes guarantee for a character you might get losing 50/50 albeit a low chance. I'd rather keep my years long streak of not having them than have them, be happy build them use them a bit and bench them
@@SpykerCorporation There is no might. You will get the character if you spend 180 wishes. You _might_ get the character if you spend 90 wishes. Just like on the normal banner.
So as I understand this is Monstadt banner, and later we are supposed to rotate other regions. There is potential to get some better characters later.
I’m really excited for this banner. I think it has great potential for those of us who want the niche or standard characters that aren’t in high demand. And the fact that it’s a better weapon banner than the main one is a massive bonus, even though I’m mainly going after characters like Mona and later Shenhe.
I can only hope that Shenhe is available soon. She's practically a requirement for a good freeze team.

I like it. I don't wish unless I have enough to guarantee getting who I want, so this is a great way for me to go after characters like Jean. Also, losing the 50/50 won't be as painful if it's to characters like Klee or Eula!

Mihoyo employs people to make fake accounts on social media to:
1. Pose as GI and promote their products even when it's obviously shit
2. Shame and attack people that criticize the game
3. Write fake positive reviews of the game on places like googlestore
4. Downvote people's post into oblivion on places like reddit
They've already been implicated on many shade behavior in the past to silence criticism of the game and their developer teams don't give a fuck about what players actually want.@@TheCheeseman1983

I do think it can be better than the event banners if you have enough fates for two 5 stars. When you lose your 50/50, it's guaranteed to be one of the other characters on the banner, including the limited 5 stars. This gives you slightly more control over the characters you're getting compared to losing your 50/50 to any of the standard 5 stars.
This particular banner I won't wish on. I'd like to get Mona, but I'm not inclined yet to use this banner for standard 5 stars. But if a next iteration does include a limited 5 star I want and I have enough fates, I will definitely wish on it.

Something people are missing is that I don't think adding limited characters to the standard banner is really an option for Hoyoverse: If you check the details of the Event Wishes, they have the note of "Of the above characters, the event-exclusive character will not be available in the standard wish 'Wanderlust Invocation'", which does bind them to that arrangement.
There's probably more wiggle room with the idea of using Acquaints instead of Intertwined (the former is tagged as "Wishing Item" and the latter "Limited Wishing Item", but there may not necessarily be any binding statements regarding those in the game); that said, I think using Acquaints also has its own can of worms called "punishing people who didn't save their Acquaint Fates", which might be something they don't want to deal with
Yeah, if they added limited characters to the standard banner, they’d be effectively breaking a promise to us. While they may or may not be legally liable for such a thing, there’s not much motivation for them to open that can of worms when a compromise like this new banner solves the problem.
They can’t add limited characters to the standard banner, they specifically said they wouldn’t do that for limited characters. This kind of misc collection banner with a fate point system seems like a great compromise, as it solves both the “I want a specific general pool 5-star” and “I want a weapon that isn’t the signature of a limited 5-star” problems.

I was very excited.....when I thought the banner used acquaint fates. As a more targeted standard banner it made sense to me....as an alternative to limited banners it does not, unless the game ends up hitting a really long dry spell for me which seems very unlikely.
but we get so little blue fates it wouldnt be viable for most ppl to go to pity twice on this thing
@@kartolina444 True, but it does happen after playing for a long time. And rather than a random lottery of like 30 gold items targeting just 1 or 2 would make a lot more sense to me. We also don't know whether the pity level is exact same...or at least I don't. Maybe it applied at say 40 already. It was all just speculation/wishful thinking.
I honestly think its a good idea. Its a great way for people to get garunteed access to limited characters, would have preferred for this to be limited to older characters/weapons and use rhe standard wishes instead of limited wishes

As a new player (two months) this is great because coming in when there are so many characters already makes you feel limited in your choices and a little left out. Especially when watching content creators that have all the characters
Yeah and most tell you go after meta characters till you do and end up not liking how they play then felt like you literally wasted your characters you don’t like using. I’m the type of person that like to figure what works for me so when I look at guides and team you should have I just get overwhelmed and then they talk about cons for characters like I only have wishes for one character and you want me to pull more? So I just stopped following comp guides and only follow some creators for farming routines that I do when the resources are available so I’ll have them if I need them
Im mostly going to use this as a weapon banner since i have all the characters i want. The only character i would pull for would be shehe but she isn't going to be showing up on this banner in while since she doesn't met the requirements. I will be going for staff oh homa since i still need that for my hutao. The meantime my 200+ wishes are reserved for mommy arlecchino and her weapon.
After getting a tigarni on standard banner after so many wishes . Yes u do like this new banner I want Jean and going better when Liyueand in Zumba weapons or character started rotated in and out
I think it's great for any character you may have missed - standard banner and then others like Albedo, Klee or Eula. But otherwise, it does little to drive me towards it. It's not because I'm missing characters, it's because it's just another 90 wishes down the drain each patch not spent on e.g. Neuvillette, who I still want.
I can finally get a Skyward Harp. I'm a launch player and I've been wanting one since before version 3. I also see this as a great way for me to get more copies of Tighnari/Deyha/Keqing who are C1/2/0 respectively where as I have C5 Jean and C6 Mona/Qiqi. You play long enough sure you'll loose enough 50/50 but the fact that I have a C0 keqing and she was my favorite standard character b4 deyha shows how unlikely you'll get something you'll want if you lose the 50/50

Hello I am a new subscriber here, my name is Alex, I love your videos based off of Genshin impact, I’m currently a new player, I’ve already made some really dump decisions, I really appreciate you making your videos, it helps out a lot
So basically earlier we had 4 5stars and 6 4stars per patch but now we have 10 5stars and 6 4stars since chronicled doesn't show anything abt 4 stars. So earlier we has 10 characters but now we have 16 characters
I don't see myself using this banner very often. As of rn, I'm gonna use it to get Mona as she's the character I've been trying to get since I started playing. This is probably my best chance. But, again, I don't see myself using it much after that
I'm prob going use this to finally get a 5* bow 4 Ganyu or Sword for Bennet
This would be so much better if it was long term, saved your pity for guaranteed 5* like the featured banner, and required an entirely different currency (or acquaint fates)

I find it interesting. I probably won't use it for some time, because I'm pretty new to the game and still want to fill out my character roster. I've never won a 50/50 since I started, and now I always save at least 180 wishes for the next banner, so that's no more of an issue than the limited banner. I do like the weapon option. I've thought that I would never be able to get 5 star weapons, because I don't like the epitomized path, so this opens up that possibility at some point in the future.
Just wondering though, supposing you saved up 360 wishes, could you wish on a character like Albedo, then after you get him and your pity resets, choose his weapon and get them both from the same banner? I guess if a player really loves a character and wants their weapon as well, need to save your primos. :D
As everyone said, is good if there is a weaposn you want, like beacon or WGS, because even if lose your pity, the same happens with the actual weapon banner, with the difference yoi have 1/11 to win your weapon in this banner for 90 tries and 100% in 180, while the usual is 1/2 chance to have 1/2 chance for 70, and then 1/2 to have it for 140, and if you fail 100 for 210.
But yes, even the it isn't a good banner

I read somewhere - don't know how true it is - but according to Chinese law digital purchases can not be devalued after purchase? Which would explain an alternative standard banner like this running off of intertwine fates. 🤷♂️

For me this will be helpful because i really want Shenhe, Ganyu, and Childe and I had to pass on all three of them to get Kazhua so this would be great! Means I'll have to save but I'm already doing it.

I would say this banner is good if you don’t care about the event banners happening at the time. Maybe a character or weapon you DO want is available on the Chronicled Wish. In that case, it seems like a good option. But just make sure you have enough time to save for the next banner that you want

The only thing I am slightly interested is being able to get Albedo cause I have him I believe c1 another copy would be cool since him rerunning will take ages
The way I understood it is even the 4-stars you pull from this banner will only be characters/weapons, matching which you pick for your target.

Well huh, im so screwd. I didn't expect that and only have 18 wishes for albedo.
I will finally be able to get Dehya and her signature weapon the Bacon of Red Sheesh! After 1 year of playing I also only have 2 5* weapons and have only use for one on Bennet.
you forget too mention, that if you are losing your 50/50 you get any other 5 star on this banner insteat, the same with weapons if you lose the 50/50 you get any weapon from that banner.
in short, you get 100% an weapon or one 5 star in that banner even if you lose your 50/50, you just don`t get what you wanted when you lose the 50/50.
as an example if you want diluc and lose the 50/50 you get insteat one of the other 5 stars in that banner. the same goes for the weapons.
so it is different from the special banners where when you lose the 50/50 you get an 5 star from the standart banner insteat.
and on top the pity will carry over too the next multi banner, so you are getting the 5 star you selected in the next banner 100% if you lose the 50/50 in the actual banner.

I've been waiting almost a year for a Klee rerun, and I'm so incredibly bummed about this. I'm ftp and there's no way I'm getting enough primos for this. ;-;
Hopefully Klee reruns still in the summer because I have a guarantee on that.

I'm going to be a little gremlin for skyward harp, my cat curse has been a pain for years. Started saving my primos already 😈
Why would you spend primogems on the skyward harp? It has less crit value than most five star weapons and a dead passive. Its fine if you get it from standard banner, but its garbage compared to limited 5 star weapons. Wait till they put yelan or child on the chronicled banner and pick up aqua or polar star
@@polychromaaSkyward Harp (R1) has 64.2% crit value, which is great for a weapon with high base attack. At R5 it has 84.2% crit value, which is nearly as much as Aqua Simulacra, but with 132 more base attack.

Technically, they could not have added these characters to the standard wish as they have already stated in the details section of the wish "Of the above characters the event exclusive character will not be available in the standard wish "Wanderlust Invocation""
Lets say you pick diluc as your charcter you want and you lose your 50/50. Are you able to get characters like eula or albedo when you lose your 50/50 or is the 50/50 loses just the standard characters on the chronicled wish
Just the chronicle wish have the guaranteed option
You'll only lose your 50/50 to the characters on the Chronicle Wish banner. So you will not lose to standard characters. Only to the limited characters on the banner i.e. Eula, Klee etc. Imagine losing a 50/50 for Diluc to Eula ICANT
Yes you can. Take the picture in the video as an example, you have 50% chance to get Diluc, and a 10% each to get Eula, Albedo, Klee, Mona and Jean.

My finally opinion really dependends on how long they are going to run this for. I do think that the in-slot weapons for standard five star characters should be on the standard banner and, since these are """""less desireable""""/older characters, they should have set pitty at 80 or 70. 90 feels quite high and in combination with not carrying over fate points, I find it a bit scummy. I also don't like that there are no rate-up 4 star characters on the banner, since quite a few are high on my list as well. It would be cool, for example, if all the Monstad 4-stars had a rate-up for this banner and it went region by region.
I can see myself pulling on this eventually, for one of the characters (some standards, e.g. jeans and tighnari are pretty high on my wishlist) or a weapon once I have fully build teams (would love a 5-star weapon for gaming). But I'll be sitting this one out, because I'm only interested in two of the six characters and I want characters before I go for weapons.
It's the lack of fate point and four stars and (for now) the lack of time frame that "ruins" it for me at the moment.

I was under the impression it was a permanent banner, not a rotating one, where limited characters can go to retire out of the rerun pool, and you still used pink fates since they are limited characters still.

It all depends if you lose to one of banner characters or the 50/50 characters. Also, why intertwine fates, make ot for the other fates so they can get more money there, since more people will have to buy to get both fates. Too much of a scam, but isn't a bad idea either if it stays implemented.

honestly i dont see anyone other than whales actually using this banner.. like if it used acquaint fates instead then i could see it doing well, but intertwined just makes it that much harder for f2ps (and dolphins) to decide what to skip & what to pull

As someone who only every had one 5 star because I’ve I been saving for years waiting for the characters to come back I see this as a good banner, and why would you wanna use standard fate? Not much people save those and they are much harder to get so you would literally have to convert your premogems to get them if you aren’t just hording them
Im f2p but i see it as a win. It takes the exact same amount of wishes than the other banner you just have to make sure you have enough to guarantee your character bc it resets at the end. It really only affects people who "build pity" and don't save enough before pulling
As a very small dolphin who is pulling on this banner, I don't see any problem. I've wanted Albedo for ages. Been saving up for him unless someone I wanted more came along. No one did. I have 60k primos stored up - two guarantees, one for Albedo and one for Arlecchino.
How many characters do you think the average f2p/dolphin pulls? Because I think you're overestimating. Admittedly I've been very lucky with my pulls. But pulling Wriothesley completely cleaned me out (hard pity on 50/50, which I lost, and on guarantee), and that was in 4.1. So it's only taken me four patches to save up enough primos, and I still had extra fates left over to try and pull for Xiao. I don't think the average f2p pulls significantly more than me. And people who don't plan out their pulls don't realistically make any decisions about what they're skipping or pulling.
I don't see why it would be so bad. I see why it's terrible for rolling for a weapon, but a guaranteed, hand-selected 5 star after 180 wishes just seems like what we're already doing anyways?

So you would be happy if they changed all limited character banners to use non-transferable fate points instead of transferable guarantees?
So my question is, if you lose 50/50 on this banner, do you only lose 50/50 to standard banner items/characters or can you lose 50/50 to lets say Klee or Hunter's Path?

Makes sense. Something was needed with the growing roster. Biggest benefit is giving weapon banners a way less crappy pity system. I'd actually absolutely love the changes if they stopped resetting fate points but Mihoyo will always find some way to leave a sour taste in your mouth.
I heard a rumor that pity wasn't going to carry over. I think this was that rumor. I'm excited but not going to go for this yet. I still have other characters on my wishlist. Like Navia
Pity will roll over banner to banner, just not the guarantee if you lost the 50/50

Yeah I also saw a few comments on reddit and CZcams but shark and other youtuber said that pity will not reset so those comments are not true

Who’s the best character to choose from this banner?
The problem for me is the "fate point" system. If it was just lose 50/50 and next one guaranteed without the fate point, it would be a total win.
Also, i dont get why people complain about the acquainted wishes; theyre not cheaper, and if im using primogems, im getting intertwined. So how it is its fine. Having said that, if you could use both acquainted and intertwined fates, that would be the best way to guarantee you get the character you want.
Just getting rid of the fate cancelation would do wonders in making this more palatable. I know Mihoyo knows how to get whales to pay in, so this must make some psychological sense, but I just can't get behind this one. Part of what makes me okay with Genshin's gacha at all is the pity system, and in particular remembering pity and 50/50 between banners. I can pull at anything that looks neat without feeling like I'm wasting wishes if I don't get it. But the fate system in both the weapon and chronicle banners just undoes that. I'm not going to be comfortable pulling unless I've got the 180 to guarantee I'm not going to be throwing away fate; and I'm not going to pull after I get what I want, so preserved pity is mostly irrelevant.
The fate point can’t carry over, because the character you targeted may not even be on the next version of the banner.
@@TheCheeseman1983 Sure, since they made it that switching the target breaks it. But I don't think it should matter that the target switched, whether that's manually during the banner or because the banner changed.
@@mixttime That doesn’t seem like a very realistic expectation, though. That would make these banners a better deal than the normal character banners, for many players.
@@TheCheeseman1983 I mean it already knocks the pants off of the weapon banner, I don't think balancing them against each other is really necessary. If nothing else whatever banner gets a thing first will get the whale pulls. Plus preserving fate just puts the math the same as character banner.
Main distinction is what you get the 1/3 of the time it's not the target 5*, and what does the target 4* pool look like. I expect Chronicle will win out on fallback 5* and Character will be a bit better with the 4*s

The banners do NOT carry the fate points to the next banner, right? But… do they carry on the pity counts, at least?
Like, if I made 40 wishes, but had no luck with getting a 5* (therefore did NOT get a fate point) and the banner comes to an end, will I start at pity 0 in the next banner or pity 40?
I’m sorry if this is a kinda stupid question, but I never pulled even once in the weapon banner and don’t know a thing about it.

Individual pity will carry over to next Chronicle banner. However, this is extremely dangerous to do.
At any point you could hit early 5-star and lose 50/50. This will trap your guarantee on the current Chronicle banner. Guarantees are way too valuable to be wasted like that.
If you're asking the question, then I'm assuming you're going to attempt to pull without the full 180 wishes already banked. DO NOT WISH WITHOUT THE FULL 180!!!

I am saving for a character currently, and have 40 pity plus 172 wishes gathered.
Formerly, I was eager to stuff every single wish I had farmed into that character, but as I was lucky enough to pull a 5* before reaching 80 pulls only ONCE I’m really not into it anymore.
Especially because loosing my 50-50s seem to be a hidden skill of mine.
It’s just not worth it to loose the guarantee. 😞

Not really, using wrong fates. Maby weapon banner if i ever start wishing on them, but if retired chars on char banner maby same with weapons?
I mean im still missing jean from standard as you mentioned and have none of nonstandard shown, but i dont want to use these fates to specificaly target them.

Keqing is a character from Liyue, so she will be on a Liyue - themed chronicled wish banner.
Yep it's not a "i'll just put a few wishes into this banner" like the limited banners can be. You have to commit to getting that one weapon or character with your 160 primos and celebrate if you get it before then :)
I really think they could have just implemented this into the standard banner (using acquaints) also rather than it being just this massive slot machine that it is now.
Long term they can just increase the size of the list of characters/weapons to choose from so in that way it wont matter how many characters are in the game, they'll just come here eventually and you'll be able to wish in the same way for them.
The only thing that is just plain annoying in the fate point that doesnt get remembered if it did that this chronicled banner would be excellent actually.
The problem with carrying over the fate point is that the character you targeted may not be on the next iteration of the banner, so you’d have to see a new path, anyway.
@@TheCheeseman1983 Nah it's easy to code, the fate point just floats there, changing path wouldnt remove the fate point either, neither would changing banner.
It's just a fate point associated with that banner.
You could for example try for a weapon, fail to get the one you want, get a fate point. Then straight away change to a character and KEEP the fate point so you get a guaranteed character.
@@Necrochaosium So you want to be able to choose from any character or weapon you want on the next banner, just because you lost 50/50 once? That would make these banners straight-up better than the normal limited event banners.

If you lose ur 50 50 what do get standard characters or a random one on the banner.
It’s completely random so it’s possible to lose and get a character like klee or a weapon like hunters path
If you selected character, you will get one of the non-selected characters.
If you selected weapon, you will get one of the non-selected weapons.

Qiqi isn’t on the banner, that what make it different from that other banners. The 5 stars show are the 5 stars you will get and same for weapons and you not just gonna see a random character if you go for weapons or that other way around.

I think your conclusions are right about this banner. I like the idea of this banner, but this should have used acquaint fates. Why would we spend premium currency on B, C, D or F class characters when there are already 4 limited banners per patch with SS, S and A class units that do everything better?
I can see the draw of that one character you've always had your eye on and have missed getting them at every chance. And the standard banner being super-stingy with the 5*s (rolling for Mona for months.) But this 'solution' really isn't it.
Honestly, I was hoping for something like this, but more like an extra limited banner per phase with some older toons would have been an easier, more straightforward solution.

Because not everyone plays for meta, your you can rank characters based on use in abyss and whatever. But as someone who simply play to collect or just use many different characters this is a good banner to try new characters with waiting mouths or years just to save enough regular fates just to pull and same would be for new currency. I know a lot of people that have been waiting on getting the characters with more then 100k premogem and a couple hundred It fates and would not want to convert that into regular fates if they haven’t already converted into It fates already.
I think you are seriously overestimating the power level difference between characters in Genshin. You need to pay less attention to tier lists, and more attention to people who have been soloing Abyss 12 with Amber for years, now.
I liked the new banner system. New players can finally get older characters without waiting almost a year or more. You can also garantee the standard character or weapon you want now.

1) There are limited 5 star characters in the banner. This is probably the reason the banner requires intertwine fates.
2) You think all of the 5 star in the banner are bad when infact they are not. Jean+Furina and Plunge Diluc are quite meta rn. Klee is also pretty good.
I'm pretty sure we will see Hutao,Ganyu and Xiao too when the Liyue banner comes.
My comment is lees about tier lists and more about the age of characters. Power creep has moved many of these toons out of regular play, as Shark said; so the idea is that I would like to have seen this become an Acquaint Fate banner. You can always spend primos on it to get the toons you love. @@TheCheeseman1983

I probably will never pull on this. To me, getting limited 5*s other than the ones I want is a massive downside. If it's not the character I want, better to just be standard constellations.
I see this as an obvious way to encourage people to spend money in the game, I´m f2p and wanted an Eula since her last rerun, I don´t have enough primos nor my pity of other banners counts so I should start building pity from 0 and risk to get an early and lose 5050 or spend money to save that possible lost guarantee, in the end, for most f2p it won´t change much unless you´re new and can grind the game to get enough primos to save the guarantee OR put some money to save it.
if they make this into Standard banner its a Win-win for F2p players..
