🎤Lyrics:
Some folks are born made to wave the flag
They're red, white and blue
And when the band plays "Hail to the Chief"
They point the cannon at you, Lord
It ain't me, it ain't me
I ain't no senator's son, son
It ain't me, it ain't me
I ain't no fortunate one
Some folks are born silver spoon in hand
Lord, don't they help themselves, yeah
But when the taxman comes to the door
The house look a like a rummage sale
It ain't me, it ain't me
I ain't no millionaire's son, no, no
It ain't me, it ain't me
I ain't no fortunate one
Yeah, some folks inherit star-spangled eyes
They send you down to war
And when you ask 'em: "How much should we give?"
They only answer: "More, more, more"
It ain't me, it ain't me
I ain't no military son
It ain't me, it ain't me
I ain't no fortunate one, one
It ain't me, it ain't me
I ain't no fortunate one
It ain't me, it ain't me
I ain't no fortunate one - Hudba
Dear Jon. No words are necessary. Just thanks.
You’re so good at explaining chords and scales. Do you do a free bird version from lynyrd skynyrd?
Awesome as allways Rock on Jon!
Very informative!
Another of my favourite guitarists and performers John Fogerty ..
Wonderful again Jon... always great...
Thanks so much! Glad to help!
Great lesson, thanks 😊
You're welcome! Such a fun song. Keep up the great progress.

Wow, Jon the tone is bang on to the studio recoding. Can you share the settings on your guitar and amp to achieve this tone? Fantastic lesson as well. Thanks for posting! 👍👍
Hey Keef! Thanks so much. This is my main tele plugged into a 1967 fender bassman silver face with a nobles odr 1 in front of the amp and a little reverb from the strymon flint. I usually just balance the bass and treble some where around 6 or 7 on the treble and similar on the bass knob until it sounds good. It's really two things, the right gear like a tele or fender amp is always going to have a classic sound and then play the right part with the right rhythms and feel and that's it. Hope that helps and thanks for watching! Here is a video about my tele: czcams.com/video/ziVlGHenR4w/video.html
@@jonmaclennan Thanks JM. That helps a lot. Cheers!
@@jonmaclennan Fogerty played several songs in D-standard while Tom played rhythm in standard tuning. made the songs fuller and fatter. plus you can hear the open strings ring out on John's isolated guitar tracks in fortunate son
Hi Jon have got any suggestions for songs that suit a beginner/intermediate player I can play songs so as bad moon rising falsom prison blues knocking on heaven's door save the last dance just started on but I'm starting to get a bit stuck for songs that are fairly easy to learn
My cover band at work is looking at this piece and we noticed the transcription has guitars tuned down to D standard while bass (me) stays in E standard. Im guessing they can just shift their part up a whole step and call it a day, yeah?
JF tunes lower when playing live right?
👍🍻😁
The introduction has a wrong part, it is G = T 5 and not G= (-7) 5
