Just started playing the game and my friend asked my play style and he told me to use Aeldari and in fact I just got him last week (I love him and he is now my child)
He is awesome!!
I like to Rapid Ingress my Avatar. Huge threat range.
That’s a smart idea!
Im gonna try this tomorrow on my brother thank you
I'm considering not, after watching your video though. Some good ideas to play with!
try both!@@markroberts6403
definitely!! @@BackupPodcast
I use him to clear out a flank in my opponent’s backfield so I can deploy teleport homers with my weak action monkeys and engage on all fronts.
Nice dude I love that! I’ve done that at times too he is a big bully if your opponent can’t respond to him fast enough
Started collecting Aeldari 5 weeks ago after a 3 year hiatus from the game, your channel has been very informative, thank you
My pleasure dude thanks for tuning in I’ll keep them coming!
The Avatar remains one of the few decent units in the index. I have no problem with the nerfs, but with the debilitating effect of phantasm, it's clear that the Aeldari dominance was based on one stratagem.
Very likely, but also because of the vast amount of buffs that other factions got. Tau and DE are a horde army basically now which make movement shenanigans tougher to pull off
Very true. It's sad that our A tier units are now less than average within the index.@@ProxyHammer1
ya units i put in A tier have been slipping @@nickthenoodle9206
Great video!! I just built the “new” model and am bringing him to the tabletop for the first time today!!
Dude awesome!! Wish the Avatar of Khaine luck!!
I'm busy building mine at the moment, hope to get him on the table soon. I want run him behind my wraithblades as a follow up mid board control/threat unit, or the other way around depending on the matchup. I find with wraithblades alone their ability to wall and/or smash through my opponent's midfield as well as hold center objective is quite stretched, so either I end up parking in the middle where they're too expensive to just hold one objective and my opponent just kills everything else.
My advice would be to hold both flanks one with the avatar on the weak side and one with blades on the strong side 😉
thanks for the vid!
of course!!
Been using my avatar since I started. Such a good model and a beautiful centrepiece for any aeldari army!
The avatar is amazing! Recently got my hand on the new one as well which I’m excited to paint up!
Best time for the video. Got my avatar proxy from the 3D-printer 10 minutes ago :D
Dude nice!! Great timing!
Great video! I needed some advice after playing Avatar few times and getting taken off the board in one turn due to unnecessary positioning. I'm gona try deploying him last at one of the enemies weakest flanks next time, thanks :D
My absolute pleasure!! Honestly it’s easy to
Overestimate his durability he’s tough but not unkillable!
Comments for the Avatar of Algorithms
For Isha!! And Khaine!!!
Comments for Khaine. 🙂
😃
I think it's funny how the drukari worship khaine too, but khaine doesn't help them...
Who would? Those crazy meth addicts lol 😂
Avatar always been great... IF you can get it in base to base... thats been the tricky part
Let your opponent come to you and put pressure on heavy terrain it will be very difficult to charge him in
I'm gonna use wraithblades as my mid-field bully unit because I'm not confident enough to paint the Avatar :(
he is easier than u might think!
I'm going to use wraithblades because I'm running ynnari.
There are plenty of great videos online giving advice on how to paint the Avatar. From advanced to speed painting. Don't miss out on one of our best units. Also, remember it's your model, it doesn't have to look like the box art at all. It can be any colour you want it to be.
i like it! shame they cant use khaine!@@des-trina
I haven't taken yriel with me for a long time. But can yriel set up the avatar again?
If so, then it makes sense to set up the avatar at the beginning. This makes the opponent build up against the avatar and you can then simply reposition it at the end.
But that's just a quick thought. But I've got my yriel lying around somewhere. It's still made of metal and I haven't used it since the fourth edition. (It's probably in the same case as my Fuegan and my old Yain zar).
I mostly use my own designed models. (I had them designed by an artist who also does the artwork for my books, as some of these models fit very well into an Eldar army, I like them very much).
Yriel is fun I think you really have to have a plan with him though as his ability is weaker than other redeployment abilities in the game
@@criticalcommenter I am not a 3D designer.
This process has to be done by this person.
But I gave the brief. And these are models from my books.
But I assume you understood that and just wanted to be petty.
@@jannispantelatos3650 Being accurate isn't petty. Maybe you should credit the guy who actually did the work? If I commission a model to be painted then can I claim "I painted it myself" because I gave a brief? Of course not.
Trying to steal other people's work and claiming it as your own is what seems petty here
@@criticalcommenter Yes, what you are doing here is the epitome of pettiness.
Since it's utter rubbish to give credits for something that hasn't even been shown but you're directly accusing of theft, it shows that you don't even know how such a process works.
Then once for you as the epidome of the petty man.
A: these are models developed from characters in my novel. So buy the book and have a look at the imprint. Then you can learn from there how it works to credit people for their work.
The obligation to mention only applies if I show the figure/picture or something similar and not just if I talk about it.
And what makes me think that you are the centre of pettiness?
It was clear from the context that they were designs for my books, based on my specifications. Riding around on something like that when it was about something else is not accurate. That's the behaviour of people who get upset about everything but aren't any better themselves or even have the slightest hint of being solution-oriented.
To the question of why people like you annoy me so much, so that this can be answered directly. A fruitful conversation could have led to the question of whether it is possible to design your own army in such a way. A platform like this would be perfect for that.
Eldar have 4-5 types of models that urgently need to be renewed. If you join forces, you can organise this yourself extremely quickly and at a reasonable cost. But such a discourse is probably pretty fruitless with a person like you.
I don't understand when you said you can move + advance + fire and fade, he has no assault right? So he either advances or fire and fade
Fire and Fade has no restrictions like that. You just do a normal move after the shooting phase, no shooting required. the unit doesnt have to shoot or be eligible to shoot to use it.
luckily u dont have to choose because you don't have to be eligible to shoot with fire and fade
Not really on topic, but would it be a good idea to add a second squad of fire dragons to my army if I don’t have the points to put them in a falcon?
Also, can I have a harlequin troupe with the lead player on foot? Or do they need to be in a transport?
I’ve used a unit of dragons in reserve for the purposes of rapid ingress and it’s worked pretty well!
You can definitely run them on foot, rapid ingress or against an army with very little indirect!
Anyone like to bring him in from reserves for an auto charge? No? Just me?
It's a good strat! He is really good like that or through rapid ingress
What's an "auto charge"?
Khaine gives +1 to charge and you can use a Fate dice if a 6 to allow for an almost guaranteed charge out of reserve
@@ProxyHammer1 thanks! I saw his comment and was trying to figure out how to answer without being sarcastic 😅👏♥️
@@WarhammerDad1 Haha no worries!!
oneshot my friends redemptor dread for 21 wounds in an overwatch from the avatar... disgusting
absolutely!!!
@@ProxyHammer1 hey man, if you could summ it down to a couple tips... any advice on how to take on custodes? if you could suggest a couple units to take or smthn on how i should play the matchup would be amazing
@@raiden2048 Sure! Fire Dragons are extremely excellent into them as each failed invul is a dead custodian. D-Cannons are also excellent as each one is getting an average of 3 attacks hitting on 3+ with a reroll to hit and wound killing 1-2 as well. Against them screening also works wonders block ing their movement with things like shroud runners and rangers and getting to the objectives first do they can’t deepstrike on top of them.
@@ProxyHammer1 thanks man! Previously on my necrons I struggled by taking the objectives first which allowed custodes to freely charge on top of them and ultimately destroy my ass... Would it be a mistake of me on my aeldari if i screen them so they are forced to deepstrike onto no mans land obj, and then I can focus fire to clear out whatever he sends on whilst scoring secondaries in the mean time, and by turn 3 hopefully id have a his major threats disabled and the avatar and other units could push up to hold for the remainder of the game? or should I just send things up field from the get go.... Thanks for the advice man and soz for the essay lol
maybe i could send up avatar with support from my other units to take a flank or the centre, whatever seems easier, then use heavy ranged attacks to take out whatever he sends to the alternative obj? I know the opponents I play against LOVE to take my home objective if possible so id be fearful of not screening my deployment zone for atleast a few turns idk
