i never even thought about using the the squad split by the venom to send to reserve with the new rules! 1 venom each of kabalites and wyches, send both of the extra 5 guys to reserve, that totals 100 points, so you could still put a squad of guardians too! 3 squads showing up midboard turn 1 is not too shabby!
Exactly!! While it’s not great for pure Eldar it’s awesome for Ynnari! 🔥
It's sad that the classic Eldar was so much nerfed by increased point cost and our rules and stratagems that we have to use dark Eldars to play... I am a Biel Tan and wraith construct fan since the V2. I play in a space marines META and it's a mess. I have less units and less fire power. I win some games but I complain about the fact that GW killed our faction... And now we have to play with dark Eldars... 😢
At least, your videos are still interesting 😉. Thank you
Try running some Windriders, they murder marines. Our Striking Scorpions and Fire Dragons trade really well with them also. What does your list look like maybe I can give you some advice I play against Dark Angels and Ultra marines on a frequent basis.

We play with nice tables with beautiful terrain. So the layout is more GW than ETC. The Fire Prisms are really better than the support weapons. Even if I have three of them... I wonder about the Farseer... Fate dices... I use a wraithlord to use Guide and because it can manage an overwatch based on flamers...
Open to any suggestions...
@@MrThepatriot30 list looks good but you definitely need some more secondary objective scoring units, I wonder if maybe dropping Jain Zar and putting some more swooping hawks in the list wouldn’t be better. Typically I run my banshees or Jain Zar solo as a heroic intervention unit but that can be tricky. The Skyrunner is def good don’t drop that stick him with the windriders and watch him burn through Marines
@@ProxyHammer1 the Falcon combo is really difficult to play... I know. I have the opportunity to buy wind riders and vypers cheap so this the next evolution of my list.

I have already the second unit of Hawks and the spiders.
I think that list will deserve it's name 😉
@@MrThepatriot30 This list looks pretty awesome! Any chance to swap a Vyper for a unit of shrouds?
Man you read my mind, i'm building towards ynnari atm
@@2dola Ya he’s pretty good! Throw them in a Falcon for some nice re-rolls to wound!
Excellent points! Kabalites with sticky and wyches being absurdly cheap make these no brainers in a ynnari list. Even if its just to hold, contest, or score.
Agreed! Even two units of them in venoms going around wiping out infantry sounds very strong with the other 5 man’s doing actions!
There are a few things i hope for when the codex releases:
Drazhar gets swapped for Jain Zhar, because as far as i know, Drazhar hunts the Ynnari and is not a part of them
Lelith hopefully will be able to lead the Corsairs
And last the Ynnari or Harlequins being able to use the Tantalus, because right now the Drukhari are able to use the Craftworld transports but not the other way around
Agreed. I'd also like visarch able to join incubi and Yvraine able to join howling banshees or dire avengers.
So, what is your recommended list for Ynnari in this new mission rule! Can you give some advice if I want to play around Yncarne
I would include 2 units of Kabalites, 1 unit of Wytches, Lelith, and 2 venoms. From there you can indeed include the Yncarne, I would also include other heavy hitters that can give you the best possible chance of killing enemy units to teleport the Yncarne to when the opportunity arises!
@@ProxyHammer1Excellent advice. Some other units to consider:
Despite my initial hesitance because of the BS4+, I've found that Scourges with haywire get a good volume of shots to deal some reliable damage to vehicles. They really like the Eldar re-rolls and have their built in fire and fade to keep themselves safe from return fire.
1-2 units of Mandrakes are also an auto-include. Uppy-downy units are invaluable for scoring secondaries. At 65 points they're an absolute steal. Unlike Swooping Hawks though they don't do much damage.
Drazhar and 5 Incubi in a Falcon are also really good elite infantry hunters. I think because of the D3/D2 they're slightly more reliable than the Harlies with Troupe Master since they aren't fishing for dev wounds. I include one of each though as a counterpunch unit.
Finally, Archon Skari has had a good run with Voidraven Bombers equipped with the Dark Scythes if you want to give that a go.
Is Stalwarts not only relevant if you get charged, are still stuck in combat the next turn and then need to perform an action (after survinging the enemy unit hitting u twice)? Because it doesnt say u can perform an action and charge so using this with Wyches would bank on them surviving which is optimistic (to put it mildly)
You can charge and still perform an action but the moment you are within engagement range of an enemy unit is when you would normally not be able to perform the action any longer
Some questions:
Does Drukhari battleline even count as battleline in Ynnari? When making a list they most definitely do not pop under under the battleline part of the app. Can allied units get the battleline label?
For bladestorm, an correct me if I'm wrong here, but would it not be much more beneficial to put just the Splinter cannon and 4 Splinter rifles in the Venom? They all have anti-infantry 3+ so get much more bite out of the extra AP out of bladestorm. You'd just be limited more in which targets the Venoms go for. From my experience A Venom with 1x Splinter cannon and 4x splinter rifles in it absolutely destroys any infantry you point it at. What I then like to do is take the 2 5-man leftovers (Sybarite, Lance, Shredder, Blaster and one Splinter rifle) and put them both in a Raider for a genuinely scary gunboat to put on a flank and blast pretty much anything within 18 inches of it to bits. That Raider will have 3 lances (1 3+ and 2 4+ assuming it moves) 2 blasters, 2 shredders, 2 blast pistols and 2 splinter rifles. Seems like the prime way to split Kabalites up imo.
EDIT: Yvraine also doesn't have a caveat on her profile like the Troupe Master does, which states that Troupe become battleline if he's the warlord.
I believe battle line is just the keyword on their data cards. So they should still count just like the mono-god allies that csm can take.
Battleline is already on their datasheets, check the keywords. Further, there is nothing in the Ynnari rules that says models lose Battleline, so yes they stay Battleline.
They do indeed still count as battleline due to the keyword they have which I’m very glad for!
About the splinter rifles, the issue with them is that the standard profiles of the other weapons are still better than the critical wound you would get with a splinter rifle. For example a blaster has S8 -4 Ap base with d6+1 damage which is already shredding a marine and more. The shredder auto hits with S6 (so wounding marines on 3+ anyways) and still gets the off chance of a Bladestorm with more attacks on average. The dark lance has the same story that the blaster does.
They are also much more protected in the venom, a unit of 5 with all the special weapons is a priority target that will be quickly killed. It’s better in my experience to use the rifles as action monkeys who can go under the radar.
Your Raider idea is great too btw and I’ve thought of doing it myself but am wary of putting all my eggs in one basket 🧺
@@yeroctehh4xor I hadn't even considered that being a keyword thing haha, guess I should have. I just went by the app not putting them under battleline, whereas troupe do when you get the troupe master warlord. Bit confusing that, but makes sense in the end.
Maybe we're underestimating the troupes with battleline keyword if we have a troupe master as our warlord. Mixed with other craftworld units obviusly.
Could the Kabalite Warriors do actions inside the transport? Or in case they couldn't, could they jump inside the venom after doing an action that ends at the end of a turn?
Kabalite warriors cannot do the actions inside a transport because they are technically not there but the transport can! Also no you can’t hop back in as that takes them “off the field” and the action will fail before the end of the turn
So what changed to make battle line a lot better? Will I be better off forcing battle line or just continuing to run units that kill other people's battle line?
Half of the new mission rules give battleline units a big advantage or buff but you technically don’t need battleline if you don’t plan on using those mission rules to your advantage anyways depends largely on the build and playstyle
@@ProxyHammer1 Such as? What are they giving that makes the battle line go from ok to game winning? Are they just scoring a few more points like raise banners or can they make a large contribution on board?
@@jameskurth3560 There are 5 mission rules out of 10 that give a big bonus to battleline that range from good to OP. I discussed these mission rules in the video but you can also find them online at this point! Here is a link 😉 www.goonhammer.com/goonhammer-reviews-the-warhammer-40k-pariah-nexus-missions/
I think you are right. Ynnari should be its own codex.
Or at least more depth to it. Psykers get different powers, new stratagems, non named HQ options, etc.
They will most likely do what they did with GSC, there will be a specific detachment that will allow us to make a Ynnari list.
