I’ve seen gameplay at the Spl and the game needs alot of work, it won’t be fully polished till 2025/2026. It’s great etc but I don’t want them to go to fast
It's actually not. Go to Hurriwind's channel (a former pro spl player that's been play testing smite 2). In one of his recent video, there's a smite 2 video. He talks about it in the first 5 min. Bascially he's saying that hi rez has been overpromising, and no way it launches on time.

I would like to see scenes with rain, snow, or for example with the seasons. or for example with more life (animals, insects etc.
Shadows were not moving on that part they were showing off how light reacts :D I know that was probably to highlight the materials but hope they didnt forget shadows. Super excited for this game

Always wanted to get into smite but the only issue I had was the dated graphics. Seeing this I can't wait to finally dig into the game with a fresh experience

I got excited about this (as I am just finding out about SMITE 2) and even liked the video and got excited about NANITE on Unreal Engine 5.
Then I kept reading comments and forums to find out that thousands I've spent on SMITE 1 will basically be GONE? Your loyal supporting players, the backbone of your income to get SMITE where it is today, you just gonna leave behind over an ENGINE Upgrade? Nothing stops you guys from just using all the skins as it's just an asset... Overwatch 2 did it, Dota 2 Did it, CSGO to CS2 did it, why can't you guys?

Kinda think the old smite art style looks more pleasant to the eyes. The vibrant colors are missing in this version. The models sure look better but from what i'm seeing right now the map isn't doing it for me.
Its ok to have a different opinion. But try to be open minded. If you like more smite 1, stay with smite 1. They cant just copy and paste de same game.

It would be so sick if we could get a replay system with a cinematic camera to better experience all of these effects and graphics. I feel like a lot of the details will get lost on us in the heat of battle so it would be awesome to sit back and just admire the graphics
I was a bit doubtful on the ambient lighting effects from the original gameplay footage, if they can nail it then this game will be gorgeous. A good recent example of UE5's potential here is palworld, each illuminated character splashes light on their surroundings
Sooo Excited! Have over 1600H in Smite, and really looking forward to this, the animations look so much more fluid and the abilities and the COLOURS OMG!!! The attacks look more impactful as they are high contrast colours and effects. Litterally Cannot wait for this!

Ive been Playing DOTA 2 and a but of LOL since I was in elementary school, huge FAN of MOBA.I just found out about SMITE when Smite 2 trailer came out. Thinking " why haven't I played this game before?!?!"
Been playing this game and nothing else ever since, wish I knew about it sooner.

Really excited for Smite 2, I wish the team best of luck! I love the concept of Smite and I used to play it many years ago, unfortunately it did start to feel outdated and rather stale as time went on. I hope they give it the revamp it deserves, I can see many old school players returning and also many new players emerging.
It LOOKS amazing, however I'm more interested in balancing with the new system

I really can't wait to play this. I've played Smite since season...3 I believe. I feel like I've experienced all it has to offer, I want to go into Smite 2 as a baby player, not knowing anything about the character changes, map, items, anything. I'm ready to experience the game all over again for the first time like I did when I was in high school all those years ago. I can't wait to play this and to hopefully be in the alpha to help identify bugs, offer feedback, etc. I want this game to be a smash hit, I want people to look at Smite 2 and go 'holy moly I wanna play that right now'.
So now it shouldn't be any excuse to not get SNOW ARENA NOW😤

They did something like this(not podcast style) when they had that contract with mixer. I remember a vfx artist working on an Athena skin and hearing him talk about it inspired me to start learning game dev! Unfortunately it took me years to actually start so I’m still a beginner lol

It is all about the gods, and some more PVE mode in Smite 2 would be awesome, where you are questing on some maps with your friends as your fav gods would be awesome. Like running around with the Nordic gods like Thor and Odin on a Valhalla PVE map with different quests and story on it would be awesome. Something we were promised by a huge studio for their second iteration of their huge game which flopped hugely and was a big fiasco where we did not get anything PVE like promised =(
But Smite 2 would really benefit from a PVE-RPG mode where you quest and level your gods, would be soooo cool.
Now to my question, will all the gods from SMITE 1 be in SMITE 2 at release ? And if so will there also be any new gods added at release ? Looking forward to playing SMITE 2, I have 600 hours in SMITE 1 and would have played it much more if it had a PVE MODE of some kind since I love playing RPG PVE games with my friends even more than PVP, and I think the fantasy of playing different gods would suit a roleplaying PVE game even more.
Will I be able to play Smite 2 on my ten year old rig with its GTX 1050 and i3-4130?

Been playing Smite since the original beta and I've not been more excited than I am now. I don't even recall how I found out about the game originally but I'm so glad I did. This game has carried me through undergrad, grad school and my wife's Ph.D. Thanks guys!

But hearing "free our production time to better focus on (...) more skins" sounds alarming. It's not as if there weren't enough skins in the end.
I really hope those in-game icons are for pre-alpha only and you plan to use splash arts as icons/portraits. The way it looks at 0:56 is hideous.
As a rocket league fan, that camera shake needs to be able to be turned off. The game plays significantly smoother when your camera isn't constantly shaking around all the time. There needs to be a selection in the setting to turn it off.
Can you guys make it so I can zoom in to my character in game like PC players I like playing with my character closer so I won't see who's ranking me thanks
