the osteo striga description says it best, "victory is not in the unmaking of an enemy, but in the re-making of an enemy into your blade." this might imply that osteo was originally a living entity, such as a hive wizard (osteo striga translates to "bone witch" in latin)
i also remember mara roasting us for neglecting to use these weapons, threating to turn riven into a weapon that would forever gather dust in our vault. which was pretty uncalled for, i do actually use whisper in king's fall... sometimes... occasionally 😒

Back in d1 the Quest for touch has you collect parts from bosses in the kings fall raid. You had to kill Oryx for a part. That part being the Ravenous Heart, which would be Oryx's heart. (Along with items for the bosses. Warpriest to recover the Blade of Famine, Golgoroth to get the Shroud of Ir Anûk. Just to list them)

Heavy Ammo Strand Trace Rifle
The beam perpetually pulses at regular intervals (roughly one pulse per second of sustained fire) while being fired, which deals a large anount of extra damage. These pulses also cause an unraveling explosion centered on the target.
Catalyst: Final blows with the unraveling explosion generate threadlings. They act as normal threadlings, but if the beam is currently pointed on a target, all threadlings generated this way focus on that target.

Wasn't the Gjallarhorn made out of the armor pieces from the guardians who died at the Battle of the Twilight's Gap ?
Well yes but actually no. That doesn't count because the weapons here were literal people and their souls being converted into a weapon, armor pieces that belong to warriors don't count

Fun fact:
The mida multi tool is a reference to Marathon.
In the game, there are 3 AI made by a martian guerrilla scientist undercover, called Professor Mida.
The 3 AI are Tycho, Leela and the main character, Durandal.
It's either Durandal from Marathon 2/Infinite, as he was known to upgrade weapons for the player between games.
Or from Tycho, who was formerly the Science AI aboard the UESC Marathon and Durandal's direct rival.
Telesto ending up being Cayde's spirit trying to sneak out of the Traveller, but messing up the teleport again and accidentally coming out a few decades early.......in a gun. In a SPICY gun.

Not really a god but the guardian basically saw a cabal riffle and was like cool I want that *yoink* therefore skyburners. More closer to a god but definitely more paracausal entity the Wish Keeper is literally Riven’s mate’s will in the form of a bow
I like how we go from Touch of Malice, a gun powered by Oryx’ heart to further prove his belief in the sword logic is right to Merciless. A gun with an AI that just gets angry when it doesn’t kill in one hit so it shoots faster to compensate.

Sometimes it's armor, too. Hunters and Warlocks prominently feature Dragon bones, Mask of Bakris, Helm of Saint-14 and so on. How many are replicas and how many are the real deal is up to interpretation.
I'd love to see Darcy converse with the guardian like skippy from cyberpunk or have some talking guns like they've had in borderlands.

Soteria, Auger Mind was fragmented and put in two places: Exodus Indigo that went to Neptune and during the Vex incursion in the Spire was able to stuff a fragment into the Hierarchy of Needs.
Some of destiny’s lore entries are simply epic.

I can't acknowledge whisper of the worm as a weapon forged from the worm god, I see it as an ass pull from bungie to erase black hammer and spindle.
My dream scenario for the final mission in the finalxshape campaign would be one where we het to see all our allies actively helping in the fight. We could see a reunited vangaurd slaying out, then pissibly caitil and the cabal like in lightfall, ending in a multi stage drag out fight against an aspect of the witness. Maybe even see crow, petra and mara helping to some extent. Imagine if savathun breifly allies herself with is and we get to fight alongside the lucent brood.
Don’t we have fallen allies that could help as well?

I call it, we're gonna turn the traveler into a weapon to defeat the witness, it will fade away when we do it and then we'll turn the WITNESS into one and we'll get to keep it.
About the deathsinger, I use the ornament that uses ahamkara bones to cover or craft the weapon.
Seeing as how powerful the song is, I find it interesting to think that it would need something particularly powerful to keep the song in check and contained.
What could be better than true ahamkara bones?
This is not mentioned in any lore, but I like to think something along those lines.
So since we took the soul/energy of crota and imbued it into the eidolon ally to make the raid exotic, what if after killing the witness, we ere able to gather his essence and imbue it into any of the raid weapons therfore turning it into an exotic and have unique effects compared to their legendary counterparts. That would be sick
I’ve seen the memes but never knew what they were talking about because I missed all of this or because I haven’t gotten to raids yet since I’m a solo player.
I forgot what the whisper boss fight was then I saw the room and had the trauma come back
I had gotten to the final part solo and killed the 3 bosses and thought it was over but then the final boss spawned lol. I also didn’t know the timer doesn’t matter after you kill the 3 bosses and left thinking I wasn’t going to be able to finish as I had like a few minutes left only.

Hierarchy of needs has a cousin of the warmind, Rasputin, that was trying to save humanity by foreseeing the collapse, stuck inside it to stay alive (poor soteria, tragic tale)
I like how they explained calcified fragments as egregore that oryx sort of physically releases. Shows how in tune he truly was with darkness

I know hierarchy of needs has an ai in it. I believe it’s an either an AI or submind of Rasputin. It was an AI located at the spire of the watcher that was able to predict the future because of something vex related with it. That’s the reasoning as to why it’s arrows track, since the ai/submind is predicting the future to allow that to happen. It’s also the same AI that ended up sending people to Neptune since it knew the collapse was going to happen and that it was the only possible way for humanity to survive.
I believe the bow will also speak Russian to you, which is neat.
Hierarchy of Needs was also created by/contains Soteria, the Augurmind that was kept at the Spire of the Watcher that looked out for the invasion of the Black Fleet!

Looking at outbreak prime/perfected with its lore side by side, I think I get what ghost says by “kit-bashing”. It looks like our guardian just took the rare pulse rifle template, added a few SIVA things (WE JUST STUCK A BUNCH OF SIVA ENGINES ON THE BARREL) and some panels, then called it complete after leaving the gun almost completely bare. The handle is just scaffold.
I can’t wait to make the Witness into a Prismatic-related trace rifle that uses a Darkness-variant beam inspired by Lightfall’s intro cutscene!
I really hope that if Xenophage ever gets a caty that it has some secret synergy with Parasite since their the both most prominent bug exotics.

Oryx originally intended for the manifestation of his being, the Touch of Malice, to be wielded by his killer who would carry the same malice as he did to the universe, so as for both of them to become one and the same indistinguishable. Sadly for him, The Guardian does not hold the kind of malice Oryx needed but we still sharpen ourselves against our foes using his might, so he might get at least some kick out of it like Xol. At least the worm god intended for this to be the actual plan.

Every Ahamkara item has a piece of an Ahamkara in them. Ahamkara cannot be killed outright.

Hierarchy of Needs and The Colony also has a AI built into it. Personally i like Hierarchy of Needs one better since it was a Rasputin protocol that was fleeing the Vex.

Hold on, i think i have an idea.... Use an ai like a ghost that floats around and watches and interacts with us but is linked to the computer that serves as a hub and the computer can search and use the draw pad or other apps and use them to draw up designs of what we could make based off the stuff and what we want done. Like talk to the ai and it understands and lets us know what to get and take apart and put together in what way. The ai would be able to use the device like a hand instead of just a person pressing buttons. Like adding the tool or creating a virtual model/system that pretends to be that device but uses the tools around and sends signals and receives. If the devices are on then the ai could use each devices input like that of the eyes or ears. The ai could look up the information and do pretty much anything. I think claude 3 could do most of this if trained to understand how it should preform but thats also expensive. If money werent an issue, i would use its monte carlo simulations tied to maybe unreal engine plus physics engine and use them to think. Maybe linking multiple of them together to be one system could be like the traveler and then that would connect to the ghost like drone but the drone has independence when disconnected. From the main or from the big model and could use a smaller model not connected to the information but could connect to the internet and use bluetooth and wifi to search and connect to devices. That would be sick.
In essence: Merciless has an AI controlling its operating system with the _motive_ to _fulfill its purpose._ The weapon fires _faster_ if the target is _not_ destroyed in the previous salvo. Thus we can infer that its _purpose_ is to destroy, and _failing_ to do so imparts _motivation_ on the AI to push its operating system _beyond_ normal parameters to do so. With each non-lethal impact, the weapon would literally tear itself apart if it wasn't limited by magazine capacity.

Long story short, merciless gets mad when you don’t get the kill and that’s why it shoots faster with each non lethal hit

Question we do know that nezarec body was on the witness ship but why tho did we do know that the witness had many disciples. So my question is why was it only nezarec on the ship. Did the witness have much respect for him. And another one can nezarec stand against the witness since he feed on nightmares just like to throw questions out there
