To this day people still give me shit about listening to heavy music. The hilarious part to all this is that the heavy music community is one of the most genuine loving groups I have ever seen. Every band I have gone to see everyone gets along. Even when the mosh pit is out of control people still pick each other up and dust each other off. The make sure you are having the best time of your life. Then there are the bands that give to people over and over again. Bands like parkway, architects etc are the bands that I am so glad I had the chance to grow up with. I will always love heavy music and I will always have respect for bands like Parkway because videos like this that show true emotion is the reason why I love music
I feel you
I usually say the lyrics in the car with a group of friends that didn't like metal back then... Until they asked me what song I was saying so I played it on the aux cord and boom we have 3 new fans
They'd only listen to the yelling instead of reading or actually hearing the lyrics
Tom will forever be my hero, my favourite songwriter, my favourite guitarist, my favourite artist..music that he created was different among all other.. All of his work was special. His music and lyrics shaped me into who I am now, helped me with depresion, ecouraged me to write my own music and lyrics...without Architects I wouldn't be the same person I am and I'm so grateful for that. It's so sad I'll never be able to thank him or say goodbye.. I feel like I've lost a family member.. Rest In Peace! forever in my heart
Tomáš Holý peace bro! you fell the same
is beautiful thanks parkway drive for Tom Searle...😢
This is just so beautiful and at the same time heartbreaking to watch. God, I'm so in tears right now. Watching Winston cry in front of his crowd is so unbelievably touching. Tom had such a huge influence to thousands of people and so many people loved him and still do. Thanks for sharing this video. It showed me once again how great this community is and how much compassion each and everyone has for each other. RIP, Tom, you'll be dearly missed but you'll never be forgotten.
I agree. Tom was so awesome and it's a shame the world is without him. He will forever live on through his music and in the hearts of family, friends and fans! Rest easy my friend. You brought so much joy to so many people.
It really is a beautiful tragedy. It rips me apart every time I see Sam sing Gone with the wind and balling his eyes out at the same time. Seems to be therapeutic for them all though.
You meant to say "RIP, Tom you'll be dearly missed *and* you'll never be forgotten"... Stay strong boys
Winston feels and means every single word he sings, and he is my personal hero.
I'll always be thankful for PWD bringing Architects on their Australian tour in 2009. Tom and his band changed my life.
Thank you Parkway Drive. I saw Architects open for Parkway Drive a few years back in Toronto. That was the first time I saw both bands live. I'm very glad to have seen both bands loving what they do that night along with Tom. Thanks again Parkway. Thank you Tom.
HOW DARE SOMEONE DISLIKE THIS?!!
Can I cry now? This is a beautiful melancholy. Tom will forever be missed and his legacy, his contribution to music industry will always be lauded like this. I luv both Architects and Parkway Drive in a fucking ineffable way! RIP Tom Searle !
This is so beautiful, that's why Parkway Drive is one of my favorite bands. Rest in peace, Tom, you will be never forgotten and your music will live forever.
Made me think of the old Architects vlog series "Ali Dino Goes To..." when they went to see a Parkway Drive show. So cathartic to see how much they've achieved as a band.
That was beautiful. R.I.P. Tom.
wow this was beautiful, I'm sure Tom is smiling anywhere he is now, it's still affects me that he's gone now and we never knew that he was fighting with this fucking disease. As long as we play Architects as loud as we possibly can, Tom will always be alive❤❤
Tom did not believe in any afterlife whatsoever.
"I will not look back as i return into the black"
+Royce Keen No need to be like that. The lyrics that immediately follow that are:
"When the veil lifts, how will I know?
How will I know?
Will I see God?"
tom was an atheist, but we still dont exactly know what his views on life after death were
I've been playing it since he passed and loud as hell! I hope you are hearing it Tom!
+Royce Keen Tom was a Gnostic you 'tard. Gnostics believe in afterlives... hence "this is a declaration of endlessness" do you even pay attention the song and think about what he's trying to say or just pick out the few parts you understand so u can pretend you have something in common?
I never listened to Architects, but Tom was still a part of the metalcore industry and was a part of music history, so I'm still saddened about his death. Rest in peace, brother.
when he says i just feel numb the first time i cried with him parkway and architects have always been an inspiration and it was a sad day when we lost tom love to all that watched this and rest in peace tom love you man
This is fucking awesome, thats why I love PD so much!
2020 this video still gets me. Parkway Drive Forever.
So hard to believe that one of the greatest and creative metalcore guitarist is gone. Fuck man, i hope you rest in peacefull. i love you tom
Well, that made me tear up
Wow. That was very touching.
Good guys in parkway drive
Goose Bumps all over the place!
I've watched this video so many times by now and it never fails to make me tear up... Rest in peace, Tom. And fuck cancer.
Went to The Devil Wears Prada, Architects, Parkway Drive and Brjng Me The Horizon back in 2011/2012 and it was one of the most memorable concerts I’ve ever been to. RIP T//S. Hard to believe you’ve been gone for over 3 years but no more pain my friend. You’ve left your mark on this earth and your legacy will live on. Proud of Winston for his show of emotion during this performance. And proud of your contribution Tom to music in general. You’ve touched the hearts of many and live on in the memories of so many more. Dan is a broken man without you and the Architects will never be the same but they can build on your legacy. “Gone With The Wind”, the live performance which includes Dans speech is the most mesmerising video I’ve ever watched on CZcams. The emotion, the pain, the love, the respect it has it all. The devastation in Sams voice after the speech in that performance is something that will stay with me forever. There was not a dry eye that night. Everyone shed a tear, even Sam, the crowd kept that performance going that night. Thank you for everything you brought to music. You’ve clearly inspired so many people, you are a legend and were a warrior until the end. RIP T//S
I miss him so much, rest in peace angel
still can't believe he's gone. R.I.P. Tom

winstons voice never changes sounds from studio to live its amazing.

poor winston always a sunshine and now so sad
Just another reason to love Winston and Pwd. R.I.P
Hearing Winston saying beginning words makes me fucking bossebumps
Pavol Janík same...
FUCK CANCER.
Rest in Peace Tom, you will never be forgotten.
RIP TOM.. you will be missed by the whole metal community..
Rip tom 💙
who the fuck disliked this??
Maybe they disliked the way this was filmed and the bad sound
Feels dude
I cried don't even feel bad about it
Is there any better video of this concert?
respect to a great band like parkway but i wonder if it was better to play an architects song instead
I think they played this song 1 day after Toms death. It was probably impossible to change the set list by throwing in a song they probably never practiced.
But that's just an assumption.
Other than that i have to agree. Might have given it a little special touch. But it was beautiful and touching nontheless.
Why do I feel Tom in these riffs, like if he played them himself, it's so similar...
Sean MacGuire this is not Toms guitar style at all haha
:/
