    I have carried this wallet for a year now and absolutely love it. This is a daily wallet for me and holds up well. I also have this in the Passport Finn wallet for my travels and boarding passes. Waterfield Designs is worth every bit of what they charge. An amazing company and awesome communication. Thank you, Ernest for a great review.

      Thanks Nathan! I love WaterField Design products as well. In fact, I use several of their items every day, like the Staad backpack. 😊

    I just found this video today. I have the original Finn wallet that I bought 3 or 4 years ago. I have used it as my daily wallet (I prefer my Mitchell Leather money clip wallet) but I really like using the Finn wallet when I'm traveling through airports. Keeping the contents zipped and secure while traveling gives me one less thing to worry about.

    I've had an original Finn wallet for almost 10 years. It's the best made and longest lasting wallet I've ever had. They are expensive but it will outlast 3 or 4 regular wallets. Previously, I had several zippered wallets and over time every zipper broke. The Finn Wallet zipper still works fine.

      Thanks for sharing your experience. I would argue that anything made by WaterField Designs will last a long time. I have a few of their bags, and they are very high quality and durable. 👍

    just received mine a few days ago, absolutely love it. it's honestly not very big at all, if you've used the Flipside 4 wallet, you can easily stick this in your front pocket & not have an issue. I comfortably carry 6 cards, 4-6 bills (USA), & 1 house key. Super happy with this wallet!

    I really like your camera work, Ernest! Get a good visceral feel for the items you present. I bought the this size of the Finn, as well as the Passport version for travel purposes, and they are like the 'set it and forget it' version of wallets! No more worry about things falling out of conventional bifolds, and I used to use a long wide pouch for travel which was about 2" thick and about 9 x 5" otherwise. I travel internationally mostly and always pulling that thing out of my laptop bag every time a passport check was needed was SUCH a hassle, in retrospect. I've been Marie Kondo-ing my life lately and these 2 wallets just nailed it. Also have a suggestion - how about doing travel bag reviews? Not bags used for clothing etc, but smaller bags ("personal items") that are actively used *during* the trip, i.e. while in the airport, in flight, post-flight till destination. Don't know if you're into changing bags much, but reviews of these kind of bags would be really appreciated.

      Thanks! I appreciate the kind words. I am definitely interested in doing more gear reviews, especially around daypacks. I've done a couple of backpacks in the past, but I should see if I can get a few to test out and review. 😎

    I have one from New Zealand that is super nice and it for my British pounds , a mini flash light, and a lipstick ...mine has to be a little bulky and super orange in color so that I can spot it in the dark .
    My other suggestion is Will leather goods .. It is truly lifetime warranty....I have the best leather messenger bag ever . take my word !

    Thank you for your show. I bought the waxed canvas micro wallet for $19. I used your link. Hope you got credit. I have to admit I had buyers remorse after waiting a couple of days. I already had a $3.00 coin purse which looked similar. After I received it, I was still not won over. I carried a couple of credit cards and my ID. I couldn’t deny the quality. The zipper design was better than the coin purse. Then I had ideal to use my money clip. Wow! Game changer. The money clip holds my credit cards and my ID and cash in the micro wallet. My credit card of the day is not in the clip. I don’t even have look. It won me over. Can’t imagine going back to a bifold wallet. Thank you Trip Astute.

    Great review Trip Astute. Have you folks had a look at a possible review on the Nodus Compact Coin Wallet that holds up to 17 Cards with 2 External Quickdraw Pockets? It also holds cash bills, coins, and a key. It's from England with fast delivery to North America. It costs 59 British Pounds ($80.00 US Dollars) and comes in 4 colours which includes a green dark teal. I can't find any You Tube Videos on the Nodus Compact Coin Wallet and would very much appreciate one of your expert reviews on this wallet. Your reply would be very much appreciated.

    hi in term of quality and robustness which one do you consider the best between this one and the Bellroy leather card wallet ? because the two looks like very similar. thanks.

    • @TripAstute
      @TripAstute  Před 2 měsíci

      The leather and zipper on the WaterField wallet seems a bit more premium, but the Bellroy is made from more sustainable leather (if that matters to you). Both are great quality though. My Bellroy wallet is still going strong, and the leather has developed a beautiful patina over the years.
