    This was one of the best layout tours I have seen in a long, long time.
    Great video.

    What an amazing layout. Such consistent quality both for the track and the scenery. Must have taken a few days to build!!!! Congratulations to all concerned.

    Great job to the club members who have been involved in the building of this terrific layout!! The video was flawless! Great job with the track work which made the video work! May the railroad live on for many many years.

    Great layout & a great tribut to the Lehigh Valley, Reading & Central of New Jersey railroads in the pre Conrail era. 7 members of my family worked for the Lehigh Valley railroad out of Coxton Yard near Pittston. I’m an N scale model railroader, my N scale railroad is the Pacific West Coast railroad & the era I’m covering is the last quarter of the 20th. Century & up to the present time of all railroads serving & have served the West Coast from Tijuana,Baja California,Mexico to Vancouver,British Columbia,Canada.

    Damn.!!!! Excellent job. Bethlehem is unmistakable. The Eastern and Northern bridge is a nice touch as is the canal near Easton. The position light signals ala PRR are interesting, wondering if they are on the actual route.

    What a gorgeous layout. It is nice to have that much space so you can actually go town to town over a decent distance. It would be nice, though, to see the signals set to clear or approach limited or something similar. I would think that a working signal system is in the works, but it sure will be a difficult undertaking on a layout this size.

    • @lkvmodelrailroad
      @lkvmodelrailroad  Před 3 lety +1

      The signal system is fully functional. Just didnt think to put it on for the video. We are planning an in depth video on the signal system in the near future.

    First things first: A great first video!
    a few things though, i think the music should be quieter, its a bit loud and repetitive and not the same song on loop i understand using not copyrighted songs though, its fair to not want to take a risk. On another note I think instead of the place text (like the "North Main Street" at 1:26) that is popping in and out i think it should be just constantly there, and updates smoothly without any transition, this would make it less distracting. I also think that more trackside shots that are edited in would be nice, say at some (not all) crossings it cuts out to show the train your riding (without the camera car of course, and if there are no cars behind it add it in), this would make it feel like your in the engineers POV. Also more editing in general would also be nice, this is a model railroad so of course the YT channel is on the side but we arent expecting weekly uploads, you can take your time on editing to make videos overall better, dont be afraid to watch videos on how to do good edits, improving is always good. But i have to say the layout is one of the best ive ever seen! (I dont have a favorite but this must be high up on the list if i had to)
    please dont take this as rude though, i just would like to see more model railroading content that can hold a torch to more "traditional" youtube channels, im just some random 14 year old who likes trains so if you dont do what i say i wont care, ill still watch. (also i liked and subscribed, cant wait to see you guys improve)

    Great looking club layout and thanks for the video. There is one thing that annoys me on these really well done layouts - why do they leave the track nails in place? Once the ballast is glued down you can pull the nails and the track stays in place. Been doing that for years - in the hobby on the HO side for 65+ years. On video like this they stick out like so many sore thumbs.

  • @Stussmeister
    @Stussmeister Před 2 lety

    A very nice video and layout. Out of curiosity, what sort of camera did you put on the train? My local model railroad club (in Newtown Square) uses a camera on one of our locomotives, though it provides more of a live feed than an actual recording.

    Well , running aginst red light probably explains why you're not seeing meeting trains, this is a one at a time railroad..

  • @jimwuerl7380
    @jimwuerl7380 Před 2 lety

    Nice layout, BUT, why is this train constantly running RED BLOCK SIGNALS?? Real engineers wouldn’t last a day in their careers by running red lights!
