    Thank you for sharing! I too want to use the 21700 lithium cells, what was the battery voltage at the end of the flight? Do you know the expected range of the 10000 MAH 21700 LI-ION 4S2P?

    • @chriskyle5659
      @chriskyle5659  Před 4 lety +1

      The ovltage is 13.2V at the end of flight. You can see it at the OSD screen, And if you don't need to climb up to 2KM alt( I am doing it because if I flight at low alt the mountain will block the signal, and it waste tons of mah), I think you can flight about 90KM(45KM OUT) if you are using the same power setup talon GT as I do.

    This was just what i was looking for as i picked up two Gt,s on offer, and still haven't flown them. Would you still recommend this set up still now or do you have another set up for some medium to longish range? Cheers

    Do you recommend that x2216 motor instead of the stock pnp motor for long range? Which motor did you use specifically?
    Thank you

    • @chriskyle5659
      @chriskyle5659  Před 3 lety +2

      My talon gt pnp is using stock x2216 1300kv.But I tested 2216 760kv with 18650 6S2P(9*45 prop cruising speed 55km approx 3.5Amp) and 2814 900kv with 21700 4s2p (11*5.5 prop cruising speed 56km approx 3Amp).
      The stock motor is suitable for long range. But I will recommand using 2814 if you are tring to push the limit of the talon GT, and you will need to print the 3D motor mount. You woundn't fit the 2814 if you are using the stock motor mount.

    I really liked this flight
    But I have doubts, what firmware does the R9 and R9MM have? Is it EU or FCC?

    • @chriskyle5659

      It's FCC. R9M:190117, R9MM:190201, both using flex furmware.
      I've test the Talon GT with 2216 700kv running with 6S2P(7000mah) yesterday and it's amazing. I reach 40KM with R9MM

    Hey, what HD camera were you using here? I’ve been using an 18650 4s2p pack and with my Gopro the total weight is 1262g. If I built a 21700 4s2p pack the total weight would be 1414g, so I’m curious what the weight of your camera is?
