Happy Tuesday friends! What have you found thrifting or antique shopping this week??
My best find was a hand-hammered copper vase that I've determined is a Santa Clara del Cobre piece from Michoacan, Mexico due to its style, red color, and heaviness. I paid $1.70. Value is hundreds, but I'll probably keep it. I could see it was handmade, and it spoke to me as fine things do. It was fun researching it. The copper mnes were in existence in the 16th century and the Purepecha people have been working with copper since then. Check it out - you would love it.
I found the Art Deco âLovers by Moonlightâ Pompeii Bronze Lamp circa 1920s for only $60 at a flea market in PennaâŠI will ask my friend George the Antique Nomad for his opinionâŠ
Murano, Blenko, Hager, and a friend I havenât seen in over 10 years all in one weekend! đź I feel blessed! đ
I haven't thrifted in ages. Only last weekend I stopped by a random estate sale and stumbled across 2 Verly large vintage ceramic christmas trees, for only $25 a pc. My sole intention was to buy for resale, but I am keeping them both and gifting one to my sister. One I cannot find the style on the internet anywhere(google lens)etc... and the other due to it size can be worth $150 up. Im regretting offering it to my sister. LOL
I found 5 large pieces of studio pottery this past week at 3 different yard sales, 2 pieces of cut glass American Brilliant (2 qaurt bowls) with no imperfections at a thrift for $2 each,(I felt guilty but also pleased.. I'm a believer that crystal/AmericanBrilliant Glass and EPG are on there way back to being desirable!!!) a plaster deer that i plan to paint, a metal abstract bird statue of aluminum, and a pair of heeeaaavvyyy silver ornate candle wall sconces I'd love to turn into electrical but they're too beautiful to ruin as is.. I love thrifting the Red River Valley between GrandForks and Fargo, and the vintage and antique and unique gift shops East of there in lakes country by Bemidji MN.. You'd love thrifting here !!! I'd love to thrift with you and take you to my favorite spots with sure to find too much you want stuff packed in every haunt. †21:52
Dear Laura and Jesse,
I have recently become one of your subscribers. I am a mobility impaired viewer. I used to do yard sales and thrift stores with my best friend of 40 yrs. She passed away 12 yrs ago..I never drove and we would do everything together. .I miss being able to do the things we did as much as I do my friend. I live vicariously through watching your vlogs along with other you tubers.
I was born in the 50's , got married in the 70's and had 4 daughters and have 6 grandchildren. I am not a fan of MCM, but I love watching you and Jesse with your youth and enthusiasm. I.have just finishef watching your videos about buying your house. I want to express my happiness for you both. I look forward to seeing what you do to make it the way you dream it to be.
I have finished your 50 GWs and trip to Europe. I had a friend who.lived in.the Cotswolds. My mother in law traveled to Germany and Switzerland. .So.those.videos were great. Today I also.watched.your trips to PA and Ohio. You do an excellent job producing these
videos. Please keep them coming.
Hugs, Debbie
I would never, ever let go of that gorgeous tulip table! Looks like it's not only birds eye, but either burl or crotch veneer. Amazing find!!
Thank you!! Itâs a keeper for sure! Exactly what I was looking for đ€©
It is an amazing piece of furniture, and a steal at $160, imho. The Kenoâs made beautiful furniture. It really makes those blues pop! đ
Yeah, Laura tends to keep surprising folks with her choices most would walk by but are actually fabulous. â€
@@user-mk2zk1fl5i I've been in the business for decades, so I know how to spot undervalued items as well and there are a lot of things I know will be valuable someday. Not so much on jewelry though.
I too loved that table and the Keno brothers! Classic mcm style and Birds Eye maple? Perfection!
You killed it on the Bird's eye maple side table. It's fabulous.â€
Ah! The famous Wire Hair Fox Terrier! From Nick & Nora Charles "Thin Man" movies, ASTA made everyone want to own one in the late 30s and 40s! SO DARN CUTE!!! â€đ
LOVE the wry humor in the Thin Man seriesâŠAsta is a superstarâŠ!
Asta stole the movie scenes.
I love seeing your smiling face every week. Thank You for your positive energy. Makes me happy.
Iâm fascinated by buying old things. There's something incredibly special about discovering items with a history and character that new things just canât match. Each piece tells its own unique story and adds a touch of nostalgia and charm to my collection. Itâs like finding hidden treasures that connect me with the past and enrich my present.
I thoroughly enjoy watching your trips. Your eclectic taste and good eye are constantly entertaining. I learn from you each time and I have been antiquing for 60 plus years.
The size of the wicker purse is perfect.
I have that purse!!
The tulip table and the cloisonné vase would make me happy forever.
That TABLE IS UNREAL đđŒđđŒđđŒđđŒđđŒđđŒ
Blue vase is beautiful on its own merit.
Love the bag. If it's a forever keep for you, then it'd be lovely to put your initials on that "patch" on the front. â€
Thatâs a brilliant idea! Love monogrammed things đ
The blue and gold vase is gorgeous and the wood on the tulip table is unbelievable.
The blue vase on the table was perfect⊠chefâs kiss đ
The coat reminds me of the story behind Dolly Partons ...Coat of Many Colors...very â€ïž
I really like the yellow and purple painting. I agree, painting the frame black would be perfect.đ
I think this town had the best items that youâve shown in a long while.
Love your glasses and earrings!!!! Well.. the whole outfit !!! Have you considered doing an episode dedicated to thrifting outfits and handbags and jewelry and shoes for us avid viewers who can never get enough Laura Caldwell??? I'd love tips for thrifting clothing that's vintage and stylish.. it's my weakest thrifting game. Thanks for the beautiful episode ! Always a joy to watch with the vintage and jewelry and landscapes as well !
That wonky basket is CRAZY GOOD!!!
Isnât it fabulous!? I just love that wild handle đ€©
â@@leftcoastrevivalsI would be afraid to leave it outside in the rain. It doesn't look like it's sealed at all. But it's fantastic. It should be filled with wildflowers and faeries. đ§ââïžđ§ââïž
Love, love, LOVE the face vase!!!
Ditto !!+ and the other face vase !!! â€
Me too!!!
LOVE that purse, fantastic find.
I have that purse!

I agree, this look is awesome. But know you have beautiful hair, but shorter would look stunning!
OMG!!! I was wondering why you were so interested in that little horse, when I saw the priceon the ticket . Then.......... I saw the words "LISA LARSON" on the tag and I actually ""squealed"". I was so happy for you. I have been watching you for years and I feel like I am right next to you while you are vintage shopping. Thanks for bringing so much joy to me, from so far away. LOVE your videos.
I love cloisonne and have never been able to resist buying it when I find it. I love your blue one!
The LL Bean sweater looks beautiful on you.
Love the face vase!
Wow, all those beautiful finds. Love love that purse. đđđ
Wow. That table is gorgeous!
What a score on that table and that Japanese vase was stunning! But PLEASE explain why you didnât pick up the Lisa Larsen Pony? đŽ I thought that would have been a first sure for you! đšđŠđđ
Love it all, the sweater is fabulous! Preppy and classic!
Great stuff. I love the sweater. Your hat is very flattering, by the way.
Wish we could post pictures of recent finds. But I really wish my local thrifts had the selection and prices you see!
Love the sweater, perfect for Germany!
At the 4:30 minute mark you are holding a bowl I had for sale!! Thank you for buying it! đ
Saw a big mushroom biscuit barrel on a shelf, which I had years ago.
Happy Tuesday! Love seeing I have one (have been watching ones that are 3 years ago) love the jade necklace
I love the Keno brothers. A fabulous table by them.â„ïžđđđđ
I love the table. Also love the wicker handbag too. You get the best findsâ€
New intro, I like it!
I had an almost identical round bag years ago. It was so fun. Brings back good memories.
The little dog is a fox wire hair terrier.
I have the same dog figurine from when I was little.
I loved the quilt long jacket. I want one. These were some great shops. Enjoyed
The vintage wicker purse is what Iâve been hunting for all summer! Great find! I live in FL so wicker is wearable all year đđđđ
Oh man lucky! 9 months of rain here đ
You are just so talented and classy!!
My family is heading to Italy next June, so would love a video on how I would get things back to the states economically.
Never knew the Keno brothers sold furniture. I met them when I got on the antiques roadshow in NYC. They were super nice guys.
That patchwork coat you tried on made me think of the Dolly Parton's song Coat of many colors đThat purse: I would never ever let it go, it is perfect! Enjoy it. Bye :)
Oh my, Iâm obsessed with that wicker purse and the tulip table!
Iâve also been on the hunt for a unique wicker purse for such a long timeâŠwell actually since I saw a really awesome one and stupidly passed on it then couldnât stop thinking about it and went back the next day but was about an hour too late (Iâd thought Iâd hidden it well but somebody else must have been just as obsessed and found it lol)
Forever pieces for sure! đ
The ring and the neckless of QuetzalcĂłatl God of the Aztecas!!! WOW!!! Ilove them â€
I love the wicker purse- reminds of those from the 1960âsâ€

With love from SAM
Guwahati, Assam, India đźđł â„ïž
Awe you didn't get the patchwork coat. Love the table. I loved the purse that was next to the one you got too.
Michele did!
The gorgeous table & vase are not only beautiful, but functional! Also, the wicker & leather purse is fantastic! Reminds me of a purse that I got from my mother on my 13th birthday, woven soft wicker & leather by maker John Romaine (spelling may be incorrect) Google him & youâll see what he produced in the 60s! Thanks for taking us along with you on your wonderful treasure hunts! Love your style & experience đđ„°đ
There is an amazing antique mall in Woodstock Ontario Canada that is a huge 3 floor warehouse, Ontario youtubers hit it; you would love it!
Laura, you just keep getting better and better. I freaking love your taste and your style. Thank you for sharing. â€
You are so kind to say that! Thank you for the encouragement! â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž
I would love a better look at the wonky basket. I weave baskets and I love the shape and handle.
U didn't buy the Lisa Larsen horse for yourself?
The Blue Vase is so stunning. Also, you go to Goodwill without us? đ€Ł

Great finds!!
đ hi Laura love â€ïž the basket đ§ș â€ïž đ and the đ đ purse the frame so cute đ and the vase đđđđâ€â€â€â€
You are so clever with your styling, etc..đ
Love this video! Come up to Vancouver some day and shop Reliques again and Main Street Vintage! Iâm partial, but thereâs lots of great stuff to see! â€
Hi Laura, love all your picks today. I was hoping you would open the basket purse to show how its lined inside. In my mind you open it and things are falling out at the cash register and people are annoyed... đ
And as a crafty sewer i was curious about the mechanics how it was done. I also love the jade choker! Younger me would buy that in a heartbeat. 60 year old me is not drawing attention to that part of my chubby neck! đ
â€â€â€đ
Youâre keeping that vase right?! It matches your personality!
I agree with ship painting, black frame will draw out the colors. đ
Love that cloisonné vase and your collection of wooden duck bowls! The dog figurine reminds me of Asta, the adorable dog in The Thin Man movies. Awesome finds!
Loved that table!
Love cloisonne too! Can't resist a good piece. The face vase is fabulous. My favourite thing in this video though is your outfit in the final part. The beret looks amazing on you! đâ„ïž
The Keno table is epic, so beautiful! Laura can you tell us who makes the tweedy beret hat you have on? It looks sooo good on you, fabulous styling â€
I think she found the hat while out thrifting.
Forest Grove actually has 3 vintage stores! On Main Street, just around the corner from Picsssoâs and Corner Antiques, is Forest Grove Mercantile. Great finds to be found in FG!
Another great video, but that hat looks great on youđ
Love love love your new face vase! With the darker plain background on it it gives it a 3-D feel. Love it!!! And great price!
†You are so interesting and really know your antiques. I truly enjoyed shopping with you as I love antiques, especcialy furniture. Thanks for all the info also, it will help alot when I go antiqueing. MHS USA NH
I think the marble set is a challis and wine glass for church.
I love how you style everything, Laura x
Love the handbag, basket, and jersey. What an awesome coffee shop.
Yeah!! Another new video!! I've been binge watching yoir utube channel for weeks and loving it!! Dream of going on 1 of your trips someday đ
†I can't wait to head to Hillsboro this weekend!
That wicker bag is to die for even if I saw it, I would have to purchase it.
Love the marble pedestal and the wicker purse!!! Love you videos and eclectic taste!!! So different from other channels !!!đ
I love it when you show us your thrifts styled! â€ïž Such beautiful finds & itâs amazing you support local businesses â€ïž Your such an inspiration
Great great finds !!! Love your sweater !!! â€ïžđŠ
Laura you always find the greates things. Your state has some of the best shops ever. Count yourself blessed. See you later
The face vase was my favourite and I love the 30âs dog too.
I love every one of those books!
Love the Wool sweater on you! I've been having trouble finding critters also. They sell quickly for me. Great shopping trip!
Scottish Terrier (Scotties) ornaments are very popular especially within the Scottie ownership families.
Love the music and you had some great finds!
Lived the patch work coat very flowy
I love the little dog! We have a terrier baby â€
Usually I adore the things you pick up but then sometimes I'm baffled and couldn't disagree more. The poor tortured knight caught in a vase forever is certainly a no for međ. The only thing I thrifted recently was fabric to sew for my nieces. Of course I don't buy newâ€
