  • A recreated artificial 16th century Shivkalin village to let people feel what life was like in that century during the times of Shivaji Maharaj. Definitely a worth visit especially for kids and children to show them how rich our history is.

the Marathas' way of living was deeply connected to the land and its people. They fostered a strong sense of community and encouraged self-sufficiency through agricultural practices, trade, and local craftsmanship...❣️

@@GautamKhetwal I'm originally from the Konkan coast. My ancestors grew up in a region surrounded by lofty green mountains on one side and the ocean on the other. I now live overseas and we chose a house about half hours drive from the mountains and also from the sea front. Whenever I need a mood booster I drive to these places.
As a child and young man I grew up near Upavan lake in Thane. We would carefree roam about the Upavan hills and the Yeoor areas. As a young boy I have almost been to most of the treks covered by your videos, but that was a time we didn't have phones, mobiles or cameras. Just barefoot and carefree in the wilderness. Your videos bring back the memories of the happiest days of my life.

@@user-cp3wc5yj3g oh wow thats so good to hear, konkan coast are the best as lofty peaks on one side and ocean on another. Yeoor hills is the place when i started to climb mountains during my grade 7. Uttarakhand being my hometown the mountains reside inside me. I used to climb yeoor daily carefree and enjoy the serene calmness. Photography was my passion like capturing the beauty just not only for me but for upcoming and going generations.
Good to hear you grew up in Thane. Well Thane is also a mini konkan, hill on one side, creek on other.
Mountains and oceans are the places where one can find utmost peace.

There was no TMT, but MSRTC used to run a bus every half hour from Thane Station via Hari Niwas. My school J K, was on Pokharan Rd 1 near the Raymond's colony.
