- Officer Breann Leath was remembered as a mother, daughter, sister, friend, veteran, officer and hero at her funeral on April 16 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Leath was shot and killed in the line of duty during a domestic disturbance call. Her funeral began with Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Chief Randal Taylor honoring her with an American flag.
I remember her form when she was a CO in the Lifetime show "Born Behind Bars." She was so sweet. RIP.
Oh, my goodness I was thinking that it was her, but I was not sure. I wanted to go back and look at the "Born behind bars" I had just started watching that show on CZcams. Rip

I literally stumbled across the first episode less than 2 hours ago. Saw a comment mentioning that she was killed in the line of duty! I can't imagine what they have been through and what that sweet little baby boy will have to face in life without such an amazing person, woman, officer and incredible mom and family member to all.

I just watched the show she was on about women in prison who have babies. She was such a genuine person on thar show, she treated those women with respect despite their situation. Also she served this country as a soldier. So to hear of her death is heartbreaking. 😭

I remember her from a TV show... she was a CO in the women’s ward where they had and took care of their babies in jail.... she was pregnant too at the time.... she talked about being in the army and wanting to be on the police force, but the jail job came first so she took it.... so sorry to see her gone over BS...

I got to know who she was by watching babies behind bars, she was pregnant herself at the time. An you could just tell she had a big heart by how she treated the women & babies that she was an amazing, beautiful, intelligent, and strong woman. She was such an inspiration I could only hope to be half the woman she was. All my love goes out to the family especially her little boy! I came across this video and I kept saying why does officer look familiar. Then I heard the newscaster mention she was a CO at a women’s prison. She worked with the pregnant women. Then I realized I just recently finished watching a series called pregnant in prison. Breann left an impression on me just watching that show .... and she was pregnant and expecting herself. I never met her but I’m saddened and the tears are flowing. I’m so sorry to hear of the tragic loss. God bless her Son and family ❤️
