I'm developing a modest Hollywood Regency collection with a modern bend. Lots of brass. That cat would be great. Today I was drooling over a 50s coffee table. Classy deep brown. Some ageing and minor damage of the varnish. 5 euro. So it's mine. (I'm celebrating materialism this year.)
Channeled my inner Jocelyn today and scored a stretch glass vase today for $2 at a local ReStore. BTW - is anyone else geeking out on the late 70s/early 80s pop music in the background? Soundtrack to my childhood! And yes brass is now a "thing"; it's easy to ship and difficult for pets and small children to smash.
What was the name of that sweet dragon you got and have more of? And...got my little "as is" Bitossi birdie from your ebay! I'm in adore! He is a happy fella!! Thanks for getting that little as is guy!!🧡🧡🧡
You know Jocelyn, I do not know how you do it all. I go to your post first then Taco Stacks,Paper and Moose, then Blue Bus Dave. After your Ohio trip I follow the "crew". Jeffrey is a hoot!
So excited to see your booth start to take shape! I have a smaller booth at an antique mall in north central PA I just started selling there in September and it is doing really well. You have been a great inspiration to me and I have learned so much that has helped me with my own booth. I have been to Lemoyne Marketplace many times since my son lives in Harrisburg.
I cant believe I use to live across the street from this place! I moved out in the 90s when it was the fabric outlet! Definitely need to revisit the area!
Great video! Loved it all! I found a carved wooden parrot 🦜 too recently just like the one you found but it’s painted green. Thought of your bird! Love to see the Chalet glass there too. It is beautiful shapes and colours!🥰
Congratulations on the booth and being able to find time to set it up. I love your turquois rings, I had a few pieces that I just loved, but unfortunately I got broken into and all of my jewelry got stolen. I didn't have real expensive stuff but they meant a lot to me. Have a wonderful day and good luck with the booth
Your corner cabinet is absolutely gorgeous 😍!! Where on earth did you find that beauty? FYI: (I’m sure you know this) if you find 3M Command Hooks at the flea market, definitely snatch them up. Then you can hang small pieces on the poll & make it look intentional. We have one in our basement & I have embroidered napkins, narrow pieces of art (like the owls you & KC found) a few Whiting & Davis beaded bags, etc. on two sides. They face a corner area that felt naturally 'separate' from the rest of the space. So: I made it into my "She Shed"! I have my pottery & figural bell collections set up, a comfy chair w/a bridge lamp, a Victorian chaise, small bookshelves for actual books, lol & end tables w/lamps. The poll just mixes in & feels intentional! The rest of the basement is wide open except for a guest room, bathroom & storage closets. The other 2 sides of the poll have magnets fom everywhere we have traveled & our college alma matar. They face the big comfy area & a wet bar. It often tends to make itself quite handy for pouring some wine or making a cocktail to curl up with a book😉! Anyway, I’m smitten by the Murano Duck you picked up!! And for $25 Dollars😳! The master of that piece made the most realistic looking chest feathers by making the lines wavy! Great finds, unreal finds actually! Thanks as always for sharing them with us & explaining things, I always feel I learn so much from you! Have a Blessed weekend, sending hugs, love & prayers for everyone to stay healthy 🤗💜🦋🙏🏻😷🦚
You need to find a little dining set or something to put in your booth. That will Fill it up. Can't wait to see your progress... I know you will be a great "Booth" family!
Ooh i traded the Brass Antelope to a friend who has a mid century store ( along with a few other things.. ) Mine was anchored onto marble for like a book end thingy
Love that ring, you know you could have it sized so it fits you. Anyway you got some treasures esp the multicolored glass it is gorgeous. You scored on all of it. Good video. Hugs always!!
00:37 "The best laid schemes o' Mice an' Men gang aft agley." 01:30 Awwwwww ... I really love that chimney piece! 03:08 That might be from Russia or one of the Stans someplace. The girl is wearing a maiden's tiara headdress. 04:56 What about the thing right at the back that looks like a pre-Columbian parrot sculpture? 05:48 I think his flame is definitely glass.
The little cup you found at 2.08 would look really pretty with a telight in it. I think the coloures would shine. I love the turquiose rings. Liked the Foodogs but they looked very lightweight. Not sure they could hold up any books i have😬
You need a sign in your booth that says Crazy Lamp Lady follow us on social media. I’m guessing you already thought of that but it’s great advertising and will help your more local followers find you💕 best wishes! All metals are doing well right now:) you’ve got a great eye for finding fabulous items. I think the little cup may have been a candle holder. People pay some crazy money for candle holders. Check out Glassybaby they aren’t even that pretty, when compared to other art glass
I'm curious about your plan for your booth - - it seems like it would be weird to buy stuff from a booth, mark it up and put it in your booth in the same location.
I managed an Antique Collective (Antique Mall) here in SF a few years back....and that was common practice to buy and mark up, especially with the big dealers with large booths or multiple booths... who had low prices for moving lots of objects.
@@CrazyLampLady lol I was wondering how you were going to do that! It kinda made me giggle... oh look a bird! It's only $3 but it would sell for $18! Whoopsie!😂 I love your videos.
The Antique Nomad disagrees with you as I have seen him buy something from a dealer and mark it up for his flea market booth. You are a businesswoman and making a profit is important.
@@cherylmellblom9736 What works for George may not work for me. But I also feel like a flea market booth is different than an antique mall. To each his own, though.
CONGRATS ON YOUR BOOTH BEGINNING. 🤓 Hope y'all have great success and profits!! The turtle trinket box is very cute. Red/silver glass means you are slowly getting into the Christmas spirit!! 🎄⛄🎄
To make a mantelpiece free standing you need to put a base on it. It needs to be at least the size of the top of the mantle for it to balance. It can stick out the front and be even with the back to put it against the wall. I have done it for numerous stage sets.
My daughter would flip over the dragons ! The fireplace could go somewhere in your house or shop with a realistic looking electric fireplace and antique looking stockings at Christmas time. At least thats what I want to do.
Oh the toad is gorgeous!! I would buy that in a minute!! Crazy frog lady that I am. BTW congratulations on your new booth and best of luck!! I wish I was back in Pa to visit so I could see it in person 🐸
at 7:02 ,the gorgeous white swan on a nest, reminds me of chicken on a nest bowl, or fox, never seen a swan before, sure hope you look at it too, or even GET IT ..!!!
I have nicknamed her, "Professor Jocelyn" because I learn so much from her videos. I'll watch other thrifters/resellers and have to shake my head at their lack of knowledge and mis-pronunciation of names.
The antelope might be an impala. I think the wooden owl may be a percussion instrument, because it has a hole in it and looked hollow. Beautiful things in this video!
🦋I'm really happy for you, on the next chapter of your new Booth. I remember when you bought that Niffis (spelling?)Piece. This past few days, I went to two HUGE Consignment Shops, and three Thrift Shops. I spent so much money, so now I'm grounding myself! Oh! Wow that Scarab Ring is so cool! I never look at the jewelry unless it's strung beads, that I can use to make bracelets. Ewwwww! CLOWNES! No!
Consider going to a jeweler to get your rings resized. Its fairly inexpensive, especially when they are too big. If you really Iike the rings, keep them for yourself. I have larger hands, so I have had to this here and there for rings. It's so worth it!😚
Have you ever had a booth before? Just wondering. I’m looking forward to seeing how it turns out. I see lots of interesting things that I think would sell in a booth but aren’t worth it to sell online.
Nice haul! I would have been geeking out, too! CONGRATULATIONS ON MOVING INTO YOU NEW BOOTH! Love that Tinkertoy cabinet ❣👌💜❤😍 Wishing you MUCH SUCCESS🙏☝️😊💰 🤑 💸 💲💶 💵 in ALL of your endeavors, Jocelyn and Andrew 💯%❣👍🦜 🦢

Love your videos btw 🥰 I look forward to them every morning.
I am so happy for you Jocelyn and quite impressed with your entrepreneurial endeavors! You’re a great inspiration for others! 🥰
Stocking a booth the first time is always unexpected. You think you’ve brought enough and it’s never enough! Good luck!
The only thing I know about roadrunners is that there is a coyote that keeps trying to kill a certain one and failing. 😄
He buys all his explosives at ACME.
They are very FAST! - - - 💨 beep! Beep!
That purple and blue Murano bowl made my heart beat speed up, that is just divine!

Having stuff stolen is such a horrible feeling. Sympathy. It has happened to me. 😢
Thieves actually do violence. My sympathies.
😞
Look up Bjorn for the brass antelope. That could be an amazing find. He was an artist that did brass sculptures. 😊

great time searching with you today! I also checked out your e-bay site. Looks like you have a good store there
Love that glass booth love that duck!

Love going shopping with you but would love to see some follow thru items from purchase to you resell.

Congratulations on move in day! So exciting and yes you can now stock it with larger items!
I adore the art glass found too.

Congrats on opening your booth. So excited for you expanding in this direction.

The tealight holder was also signed 'Art by Fire' (not Fine).
👍
Can't wait to see your booth when it is all done....
Wishing you good luck in your new booth! Love your videos!

Single cups, beautiful pen holders on nice desks
I love single glasses or cups. I'm not into matchy matchy really. If a piece is lovely I'm buying it! You bought some wonderful items!!
Loved that cup you put.back. Also love your turquoise ring. Beautiful.
I'm curious about your plan for your booth - - it seems like it would be weird to buy stuff from a booth, mark it up and put it in your booth in the same location.

I thought the same thing. ☺️
Love the red art glass! It’s gorgeous!
I visited there last week and I loved that place. There were a lot of booths with great prices and sales. I will definitely stop in again.
$45 after the 40% taken for the Murano glass clowns is an amazing price,
8:11 Raggedy Anne and Andy. I grew up loving them. I would love to buy them.
I'll take the cat for $30 reminded me of Alex Trebeck! Lol!

“Niffis” Lol I’m going to start saying it that way. I have always said, “N-F-S.”

Thanks 😊

You cant sell the dish and duck!!!! Stunning
