I watched that back recently, and in hindsight, all the signs that Batista would make a good actor were there.
And on smackdown when rey said to batista" think about Eddie" and batista just says "Eddie's dead" the boos was insane

Rey Mysterio was probably the only wrestler that stayed babyface all his career. It used to question me why it people turned on Rey but it was part of making an interesting storyline/Rivalry.

Honestly, at this point Rey Mysterio having his friends and family turn heel on him is a meme in of itself.
