Kennesaw is a suburban city northwest of Atlanta in Cobb County, Georgia, United States, located within the greater Atlanta metropolitan area. Known from its original settlement in the 1830s until 1887 as Big Shanty, it became Kennesaw under its 1887 charter. According to the 2010 census, Kennesaw had a population of 29,783, but in 2019 it had a population of 34,077 showing a 14.4% increase in population over the past decade. Kennesaw has an important place in railroad history. During the Civil War, Kennesaw was the staging ground for the Great Locomotive Chase on April 12, 1862. Today, the city is perhaps best known nationally for its mandatory gun-possession ordinance requiring all households in Kennesaw to have a gun, with certain exceptions.

I was in Kennesaw in 1998 on a business trip. The things I remember, there was a small civil war museum where the owner looked like a person from that era. The costco was on a hillside overlooking the city. There was an area with some huge civil war era style homes with the huge pillars in the front of each home. Have a great day!

Can you please make videos showing us the subdivisions please. I'm not from the states and would love to see what subdivisions look like in the suburbs. I've seen a few and they look very pretty.
some of the older ones are very beautiful. The newer built ones are all generic looking and are suburban hell, but some of the older stuff built pre 90s is secluded, heavily wooded, and a bit more spaced out compared to the neighborhoods being built these days.
@@patrickwhite2941 I love trees. Subdivisions clear out all the trees and look plopped on a vacant lot. Wish new builds were built within the landscape.
