    Thanks for the review. I thought some of those trails looked familiar, and then you mentioned Cemetery Loop! And did I spot Hickory Creek as well? I moved away a couple of years ago and miss those trails!

    Riding this bike has spoiled me a bit. It's a fast and efficient bike spec'd like a bike costing a lot more. Dare I say, I'm actually enjoying the climbs?

      Glad you enjoyed the video! 2.4 should be no problem. Anything bigger than that will depend on the tire.

      I'm not sure. The bottom bracket is already low. Perhaps by 10mm.

    I currently have a Vitus Rapide VR with a 1x11 Deore group set. There's an issue with it that I'm wondering if you're experiencing with your Syncline and if it's pretty much the norm or just exclusive to my bike. The bike is noisy and rattles a lot but only when I'm in a high gear. The higher the gear, the worse the rattle. When I'm in the lowest gear, it makes no noise at all. I can lift up the rear wheel of the bike and drop it and all I can hear is the rubber bouncing on the ground.
    Still not completely sure what's causing it to rattle in the higher gears but I'm pretty sure it's the rear derailleur. When in the highest gear the derailleur arm is angled straight back whereas in the lowest gear it's angled straight down. When in the straight back position, it also runs the chain much closer to the chainstay too, both over the stay and under, with the small chainring in the front.
    It doesn't seem to affect the performance of the bike but the sound is annoying and makes the bike sound cheaply made, which it kinda isn't. So I'd like to fix it if possible, even if it means getting an SLX 1x12 or anything else that might alleviate the problem.
    That Syncline looks pretty sweet. Looks like it's on sale for $1800 too. Still overall happy with the Rapide, a solid bike with a decent spec. But kinda wish I'd have bought that Syncline instead. Thanks for the review. Great stuff as always.

      If I'm understanding issue, I think what you're dealing with is chain slap. I went and drop tested a few bikes with different drivetrains. They all do it from Deore to XX1. The chain is closest to the chainstay at the smallest gear, so the chain is going to rattle a bit. The best way to deal with it is a rubber of fabric chainstay protector. Also, Shimano clutches are adjustable. You could try and tighten it up, but I would start with chainstay protection. If I misunderstood the problem, lmk; but I think that your best solution.

    What is the internal routing for? Is it internal dropper compatible? Thanks.

    • @AdrenalineIsLife
      @AdrenalineIsLife  Před 9 měsíci +1

      It's meant for a front derailleur. You would need to modify the internal tubing if you wanted an internal dropper.

    Easy to.spend your money , but any idea what the D7 polygon is like? I wonder just how much slower the short travel fs bike is overall? At 55 , i am looking for some cush ,but still like to climb.....

    • @AdrenalineIsLife
      @AdrenalineIsLife  Před 11 měsíci

      The D7 geometry is suited for climbing, and the short travel will minimize the amount of power transfer lost compared to a longer travel bike. The difference in weight will make the most difference when maintaining speed over longer distances.

    I assume it has thru axles? Does it come set up tubeless out of the box?

    • @AdrenalineIsLife
      @AdrenalineIsLife  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Yes, boost thru axles front and rear. The wheels are tubeless compatible. You'll need to add tape and valves. The tires are wire bead and not tubeless ready, so you'd need to change them out. The switch to tubeless yields pretty good weight savings.
