Apples cucumbers pears green beans eggs and carrots are added to boiled chicken or meat (a bit with dry food) and they wipe it all clean. Also i have been adding water to their dry water for my older dog since he doesnt like water but this way he is getting hydrated a bit forcefully but oh well

I also give my dogs chickpeas that I make from dried chickpeas and I also give them cooked broccoli my dogs, love broccoli. Besides all the foods you mentioned in this video. I just thought I’d share that in my German Shepherd loves fermented vegetables, carrots and sauerkraut. And she loves goat and milk kefir. My Yorky only likes the milk kefir. And sometimes I give them salmon and tuna and sardines they love sardines. And before I gave them these foods that I mentioned, I made sure it was safe to give your pets. And they all are.❤🐕🐩🐕‍🦺🐾

Aren't sardines too salty? I thought that I read salt isn't good for them?

Have you ever tried giving beef liver to your pooch? My boy absolutely loves it a couple of times a week. It’s a superfood and is incredibly good for them. Heart and kidney meat too.

Next time I cook for my dog, add more vegetables such as carrots, I hope my puppy will be healthy

*Peanut butter is not a good recommendation due to the high trans fat which can affect the liver. People think they can give this too often.

That is IF you buy rubbish brands. These have expensive peanut oil extracted and rubbish palm oil substituted. Pure peanut butter do not have trans anything !!

I only buy peanut butter that is 100% peanuts, no palm oil, salt or sugar and just use it on a lick mat as a very occasional treat for our pup 🙂

@@feistybitch Peanut butter, if natural/ organic, has oleic acids in it that , when used in place of other fats in your diet, helps with cholesterol and blood sugar levels. There are some brands that add sugar and trans fats. But if you read the label, it should say ingredients: peanuts n salt.. only.. It’s a shame that other developed countries ban trans fats and our country doesn’t.. I know it can get way too confusing!! We shouldn’t have to get a degree in science to go shopping!!! Best to you!

I don't home cook meals for my dog. My last dog loved peas. Whenever I made some for myself I gave her a some because they are good for them. She also had arthritis and peas are anti-inflammatory. Today I was making a salad and I gave my dog celery and carrots. I think it's great if I can get a few veggies in my dogs diet. It is good for them. Also when a dog is sick sometimes making them low sodium chicken broth and white rice can soothe their stomach.
