    I also would like to see StageMix and MonitorMix on Android and Windows systems. Inexpensive Android and Windows tablets are much more realistic for the budget of small churches or other small venues, and more people have Android phones these days.

    We need help using a restrictive enterprise level wifi system. Does MonitorMix and StageMix allow manually setting the IP number so it can find the TF5 network port directly rather than having to perform the auto search function?

  • @TheJimmypants
    @TheJimmypants Před 6 lety +4

    (as of date 2017-11-10) Why does Yamaha not make a point to publicly support the most popular smartphone and tablet platform in the world (Android) for a mixer like the TF5, which is mainly pointed at non-professional users? (mid-small churches, etc.) Most of these people use Android, not iOS. Behringer supports Android for the X32, which is absolutely necessary for many non-professional users. X32 even supports Linux and Raspberry Pi! (...and costs $800 less, which means you could also get a S16 digital snake remote stagebox with 16 inputs and 8 outputs for the same price as the TF5 alone.)

      I'm using the surface 3 as a remote mixer and I find is faster to use the tf editor on the surface than the stage mix on the iPad. On the surface everything is displayed on the screen , even the faders, and if you need to go from channel to channel, just touch the bottom of the fader you need to go, plus you can send a specific channel to different return in a single page. The only problem I find is when turning up or down the faders, it jumps up 2.5 db up or down, so you need to be careful or just press on the fader and move your finger to one side so the faders becomes more precise. The only problem I have found is dealing with stability problems from microsoft with the windows 10 au, so I make sure to have the iPad ready.

      @@yamahacommaudio its been 3 year since this post and still no Stage Mix for android. I guess your engineering teams still haven't looked into it... there is a whole world of Android users out there that could mean more TF sales. Having to purchase and juggle a second tablet just for the TF could mean the difference in a purchase or move on to another brand.

      @@yamahacommaudio 3 years ago and a lot of changes, not for the better , you guys really need to think out the box , who of you decided that to go to the aux page has to be difficult ? and I mean even if you press the aux buttons , you have to press many times until it gets in , and I know is not an ipad problem because I use the same Ipad for an ls9 , m7cl , x32 and m32 with no problem.

    We are trying to use Monitor Mix. It seems to be working, from a phone we see the faders are changing as it should be there’s no sound coming in the their headphones. I’m still trying to learn all the ins and outs of the TF5 so I’m sure I’m missing something.

    My stereo aux output is only heard on 1 side either left or right. Am using aux 19/20 to send speech to camera's mic input but only captures 1 side of the audio. Is there any other settings to check? Btw the cable is an XLR out from TF1 19/20 to a stage snake output XLR. Please advice, thanks!

      ***** In the time it took you to answer, I gave up on the TF and bought an 01v96i. Great desk in every way, but the software 'Studio Manager' is simply the worst thing I've come across in years. Real shame Yamaha won't address the screen scaling issue, but according to tech support, it's not going to be fixed. Not an issue when it came out, but in todays world with higher resolution monitors, it's as good as unusable. Try it on a standard iMac 27, you'll see what I mean. Shame when companies like Behringer have this side perfected and Yamaha can't get it right.

    • @yamahacommaudio
      @yamahacommaudio Před 8 lety

      ***** My apologies for the delay, but good to hear that you like your 01V96i. We'll make sure that engineering gets your feedback on the Studio Manager platform.

    Pro Audio Department, if your going to be doing audio, video and or movies. Stick to Apple products or your end up pulling your hair out. Professional only, meaning churches, recording, live mixing, etc. 38 years experience from small venues to extremely large. I'm just saying.
