- I bought this new tool that I saw on instagram @tilebro and @Eylandertile . We do a lot of Schluter and Ceramic Jolly profiles to trim around shower niches and backsplashes. It is amazing!!!

Very cool demonstration. Thank you for your support and sharing. Really appreciate it.
Defiantly going to make installs cleaner, awesome tool to add to the quiver.👍🏼🍻
@@daveclark2458 I promise you I don’t mean to be a grammar enforcer but I think auto correct may have done you dirty on the definitely I’m guessing was meant to be in there.
Overpriced tools purchased from Alibaba
This square is cool though since tile bro created it
Thanks Isaac. I landed a good job at a local commercial tile contractor thanks to you. I showed off my skills and they offered me an apprenticeship knowing that I do residential jobs on the side. I hope to work my way to be a master setter under their wing and continue to promote the trade
Kurt and Andrew are awesome. Showing cool tips and making BA products for the tile industry
I wish I had this tool when I tiled my bathroom last year! Thanks for letting us know about it! I ordered one so I have it for the next project.
Thanks, I needed to see "hands on" how to execute the perfect cut.👍
Those guys are killing it! Great jig!
Great tool, ordering one tonight and thanks for the demo Issac
Hey, thanks for the tip. This thing works awesome and a lot safer than using my miter saw.
I have used the same saw your using in the video but switched to my regular mitre saw . It makes a cleaner cut
Thanks Isaac! Hopefully I can get a couple of those sent here here to Hawaii. Cheers buddy 👍🏾🤙🏾
Thanks bro, great video. Appreciate you!
I received a parcel today, a great tool.
Wooow !! Nice tool !!
Dude that is awesome!
Great video! I just got mine early this week as well. Setting three bathrooms currently and my guys will be using it for sure.
Thank you bro! Hope you enjoy it! 🙏🏽
I got my and I'm loving it 👍🏻👌🏻
Super cool tool I'm ordering one Right Now
This is awesome, I think I'm gonna 3D print a similar one.
Thanks for the information Isaac! I ordered the CaliBro Square I will let you know how it goes.
Love the flag in the background!
From a fellow Swede 👌
Again, great video.
Great tool. I use it everyday.
I'm about to order that right away, ty sir
Great demonstration
Did we just become best friends??? YUP! Thanks Isaac just ordered one.
Just used mine yesterday. Great tool!
Thank you bro! 🙏🏽
I'm a terrazzo guy but see this as a very use tool for some decorative layouts when it comes to setting divider strips
Terrazzo is that sausage?
I'll have to try it out , but I've not met anything that makes an exact cut like my hacksaw and mitrebox . Crain makes a mitrebox that fits schluter nicely and it doesn't move around much . Great video as always !
Ordering one now 👍
Wear your eye protection Issac!
Thanks for the great vid, this will be on order tonight!
I just purchased this tool for my next tile job!😃
Hi guy ,do you know what name have this tool please?
wish i had this 3 weeks ago when i was going my bathroom trim!
I routed out a 2x to miter schluter trim with a 45 and 90 but if this item isn't silly expensive I'll definitely get one
Nice tool
Will it make a difference with a 10” blade?
I can’t cut profile with a 10” wet saw. It always wants to grab and pull. Not fun. I always think next time will be different but it never is lol.
It would definitely help not having to get out a mitre saw just for the trim.
Appreciate the info... 3/4" scrap of plywood been working for me for years.... granted...do don't need to change the angle on your saw
Wow!
Could you do a video on using one-inch curved quarter round outside corners? Not clear on how to position the curved qtr round in the speed square.
Sure just when I finish my tub to shower conversation lol. Did you use an ordinary wet tile blade to cut the metal jolly trim?
No ear protection
No eye protection
I feel at home, Hahaha.
good tools where can you get it in bc canada
i just use miter saw with a diablo blade works mint
You cut your 1/4 rounds with that too? 😮😮😮
@@Eylandertile i love your line of tools and have bought quite a few. For pencil trim I get the application but I'd have to argue a miter saw with a non-ferrous blade gives you a better cut for metal trim.
@@adamh6190 we’ve never argued against that. We just know the mass majority of installers do not use a chop saw to cut trim although this tool works on a chop saw as well.
Even with a non-ferrous blade and 4000 teeth, I've had chops saws grab the metal & make a mess. Looking forward to using this new tool!
Of course you got one already
Thanks
So if you want the miters to be tight how do you get grout or caulk in the gap? If you only rely on the tightness of the miter what's to stop water from getting behind them
Should be zero gap. Tight as a clams arse
What kind of blade do you have on that wet saw? I'd be scared to cut aluminum with a diamond blade
Diamond blade works. Just don’t go to fast and you should be fine.
I'm assuming it's for the demonstration but both quadec and rondec have inside and outside corner pieces so you wouldn't have to miter them. with the jolly you have to miter it and the cut looks nice regardless but I'm assuming it was done for demonstration purposes? or was it to get a nice clean mitered look with a different profile? kinda confused lol
A miter is free those inside pieces are expensive especially if you get the colored ones. And they don't necessarily look better than a well executed miter
will this work with a miter saw as well? i get cleaner cuts with a metal saw blade then my wet saw
Exactly
Yes! Only for inside miters, and straight cuts though.
🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
Bro you’re tile coach famous now.
Beast ass square for miterz💯💯💪🏼
I definitely would not use a wet saw! Aluminum will damage your wet saw blade for sure.
I use a sharpie and a 7 inch aluminum blade Diablo. Great cuts every time.
Aluminum will not screw up the diamond blade....only if u cut stainless
Absolute nonsense. My blades last a long time even cutting aluminum schluters. A wetsaw is the best way to cut them
I use miter saw and 2x over it to stabilize blade...
Where can I get it I live at Mississippi
Nice tool i use a chop saw and a block of wood with a dado groove but this is definitely pro. Wouldn't cut schluter with my hotdog blade.
Did you use a diamond blade to cut those profiles? Is that advised, or was it more for demonstration purposes? I think I usually see people use a mitre saw with toothed blades... Great video!
Looked like it worked fine so might not be advised but changing blade / extra tool might just not be worth it for commercial job where time is more important? Can't imagine the metal causing more fatigue to the diamonds than ceramics/porcelain.
or an aluminum cutting blade, absolutely stunning cuts, but they can grab, so you must cut slow.
I use a diamond blade on wetsaw to cut and mitre schluters all the time no problems….no need to change blades
I use the wetsaw to cut schluter trims. I have both the trim square and the calidad dressing stone. Once all my metal trims are cut, I dress the blade. No issues!!
Cutting that with your wet saw doesn't mess up the blade any? We always have used a separate miter saw with a metal blade.
Nope! Works just fine.
I use my tile saw for cutting tile only!
@@TileCoach thanks that will save us from pulling out another tool!
link to buy?
Who makes it
Did QEP rip this off?
Where does a person buy one of these jigs?
Calidadtools.com 🤙🏽
Amazon?
You can also use a regular speed square :S
What price?

I want to order one but at $42. For plastic? I suppose I will still order one. But dam
Yikes! that's murder on the wet saw blade plus leaves burrs that need filed off after. Non ferrous metal blades will cut that aluminum so clean. That gadget is sweet though. Looks like it will promote ease of handling and minimize the kickback. Thanks for the info!
Can you use a 7 in. non ferrous blade in the wet saw just to cut the metal trim then swap it out for tile?
@@texascrossbowdude636 not sure if the arbors are different plus it might rust the blade. I just always have one in my miter saw. Try it...lemme know👍🇺🇲🛠️
@@psyphen2286 if the arbor is the same and disconnect the water pump
@@texascrossbowdude636 diamind blade on wetsaw works just fine. Its all i use to cut schluters
Um chopsaw?
Very nice, but what is the name of that tool
I'm not dragging out my wet saw to cut tile trim ................not happening.
Do you want a 44 yr old brick layer/concrete guy as a apprentice
More importantly have you done a preslope test.
Where the bed is only wet on one side.
I think that the water will migrate to the dry side and up hill.
Preslope was meant to make water run only down to the drain.
🤣 Wrong video! 🤣
(yes, I've done it too 😉)
@@tedspens
Do you know of any videos.
Genuine question.
I did see his video on part of this matter and others but this migration of water is over looked.
My suggested method may show that once wet always wet, the tile bed.
Yes it was random, Hahaha.
Looks like you just walked off hole 18. Lol.
Is it to dangerous to use a plastic square?
Use common sense!
@@k_nardonecustomtilework should I have not asked this question did it offend you?
No sir. I'm not a fan if cutting metal profiles with my tile blade
So what's with the Swedish flag?
It's a heavy duty piece, just don't let the dog get it!
Rather use a metal blade on a chop saw. Hate when that tile blade grabs your schluter metal when pushing too fast.
You need to never go to the company that embroidered the logo on that T Shirt.
nah g nich is the American English way to say it, don't let those fancy architects or homeowners fool you, or try to make you feel like a mailbox head
You should have a pair of earmuffs ear protection hanging off that saw. Trust me I'm 54 and that saw will kill your ears.
It won't help you measure - a block of wood and a chop saw work just as good ...
Some day you will be sorry for not wearing ear protection, say what?
That's not a very clean cut
I use a miter saw with a good 80 to 100 t blade very carefully
Can you do one of these shirtless so I can yank my crank?
"I love to support American companies" lol
I'll never support this brand!
