Come watch us work on this head, as we work towards getting a port finish texture with the help of our on lubricant mix, some chamber work details
as well as the finished product with the other parts the k24 build will have.
As mentioned in the video the B18c GSR porting video is here too at

That thing is shiny smoth great work
Thaaanks 😎
Después qué retires material de la camara eliminando los puntos calientes debes medir el volumen
yes we always always check combustion chamber volume before valvejob and even after valvejob . We do that since the beginning of our porting days
Translated lol :
Sí, siempre comprobamos el volumen de la cámara de combustión antes del trabajo con la válvula e incluso después del trabajo con la válvula. Lo hacemos desde el comienzo de nuestros días de portabilidad.
Question for you. We know the k20 rbc/prb/rrc head flows more than the k24 rbb when stock. Does it not longer matter which of these 2 heads you have if you port them? Would they be the same at that point?
When ported properly the prb/rbc head will have a higher ceiling of potential
@@SRDmotorsportsso basically if you can help it, start with a k20 head before porting.
@@d0mochireally depends on the application and powerband goal as I know quite a few time attack peeps preferring RBB
That K gonna make 300hp with ease!
Oh for sure! The cam is up and ready! they made a good choice on that
@@SRDmotorsports definitely! It's all about picking the right parts for all of it to work together
Yes sir the owner John definitely did his homework and it will defo pay off!
@@SRDmotorsports nicee that's good to know!
Yup
where do you get your porting sandpaper rolls ?
Standard abrasives and Ebay plenty and if in Asia then Lazada
100 views in the first hour! 🍻
Maaaaan hahahaha you noticed that too! Hope it’s not a one hit wonder 😂 but def this is fun cuz the owner will be updating us so def gonna make more content on them Hawaiian 5-0’s
@@SRDmotorsports Not sure if you've covered it in the past, but here's a suggestion for future content: K20 vs K24 cylinder heads and B16/P73 vs P72 cylinder heads
@@findtherightbeat oh def an awesome suggestion! Will look into that I still have I believe both k20a core and k24 🎩
@@SRDmotorsports Most info on the forums back in the day are now lost, including the images. Putting out content that covers the topic will definitely help the younger generation make more informed choices when it comes to their build
Oh man that’s so so true
Can I gain more top end on the k24 by porting only the exhaust ports because it looks like the header has way bigger holes than on the block. I have easy access to the exhaust side but dont want to drop the motor.
That’s really hard to tell
Thanks, do you port match both intake and exhaust manifolds?
Exhaust = header not manifold so it’s already smooth and well done if you get a good header but a bad header exists
👍🏾
Yes sir! 🎩
What grit did you start from to finish
As stated on all videos 80grit then 120grit
@@SRDmotorsports you didn't state exactly
Alright I usually always mention it on videos when I port…prolly got tired
@@SRDmotorsports don't get tired we listen buddy
thanks buddy! Will def keep that in mind
Ayan na... isnt it more cost effiecient than building a d15 ye?
tbh? No… core cost alone is significantly larger, even ecu options too… sa pinas that’s always the thought tapos mauuwi sa mild or stock k24 na lampas doble gastos tapos running 13.6s ?
Tapos sasabihin ng shop un ung gusto ng customer? Ok sige
Now the question is
Un ba tlga gusto? Sumabay sa b18 lang?
We both know the answer is No 🤣
im tellin u guys the picture or the video doesnt do justice on the image of the port finish, in actual its way more better!
I remember when you told me the same on your intake manifold! I mean I try to capture it as good as possible on camera but seeing it in person is different 🔥
