- When asked how a concrete pump truck works many times over the years, I finally made a decision. It was to make a CZcams page showing different job situations, setups, and a day in the life of a concrete pump operator. Please leave me comments as I try and show my daily job in a, Concrete Pump Vlog which is fun to watch and kid friendly. Thank you for showing interest in this channel and please, Like, Share, And Subscribe!

So where I can see you went wrong there Darin was by not pulling that first sponge back all the way prior to adding the water and second ball. When pulling back in a Z, that first ball jas to be pulled back fairly quickly, and in one go (no stopping), otherwise it will get hung up in the B-C elbows every time. You timing for this is impeccable as in my video premiering tomorrow we go through the procedure for getting the boom completely empty prior to sucking back in the Z formation. Makes it fool-proof every time.
I feel like you need to give this another go using my recommended procedure and if it still don’t work, I owe you lunch at World of Concrete next year 😁
I will definitely be trying to do this method again. I guess I need to make all that material fall back down to the deck or is it possible to pump down very low to achieve this?
Dang I think Drew and Peedy need to start there own company they carried that whole crew on there backs by the looks of the video
We're they smokin' big cigars the next day after being on the big screen?
I still cant get my head around you guys and your sponge water sponge obsession. Ive never pulled back anything more than one wet sponge and thats it. I know, I know we all have our ways but it just seems silly why one sponge no water works for some not others. I know, I know the pipes are shiny after but so what a 5 inch hole is what it needs. I know, I know, I know but damm it still just gets me. Sorry for that I will stop now 😤. Love your channel , dont mind me keep on keeping on.✌️
I usually just use a pig but sometimes I double guess myself and flush with water. Sure don't want to be choked up because of buildup.
I suck back the sponge and water then fill hopper just as you did ... peace of mind .... if i cant wash on site i run the brown sugar seems to hold it back for a few hours ....til i can wash properly
