I love to see organization and having the right tools for the job. I can appreciate your attention to the details and the shit you have to do to get things done. I’d hire you any day 👍
Subscribed. Your definitely not a hack. Wish everybody cared about quality and took the time to really educate themselves about their trade like u have. Experience counts! I enjoy how you go into detail about why your doing certain things. Gives me something to take away from your vids.
I saw this finished product. You will have a much greater respect for your work when you see it in person. This was showcase work and you killed it on this job.
This proves you are going to just kill it. Once people see this in person your phone will blow up because you will take your business to a whole new level.
Can you make a specific video detailing why is harder to pump down than up? And maybe the proper operation of the pump. I'm learning a lot from you, MASTER ANTHONY!
We did a job at the naval post graduate school in Monterey and I had the job full of idiots. Pouring a side walk and a 20x20 pad. Poured half of the sidewalk and half of the pad and then ran out of concrete....no problem truck is on its way, or so they said. After waiting and waiting and waiting we find out the driver took the load to the wrong job and they didn't have any more trucks. An hour and 10 min later the 2nd truck shows up and what were the pumping crew doing the whole hour and 10 minutes wait time.... chilling in the shade. Did they clean out their pump or hoses, nope. So they struggle to get their hoses clear and now we are at an hour and a half. Had to cold joint the 2nd half of the pad.....which was not a formed cold joint but just a cold joint for the last pour wherever we left off. I have been back to the job site for the last 3 years and to this day I cannot fathom how it didn't crack right were the cold joint went together. It is a miracle. I have to say that I can't agree with you on the fly ash. We have had jobs side by side with fly ash and with out and there is definitely a difference in the amount of cracking.
I'm a concretor from pa, I though some of the footers I poured on hills were tough! your rebar work looked very neat. Around here we don't gotta go to the same extent you do, Damn earthquake I guess
Good work bud .you only use 2.5inch rubber is your mix 10mil concrete good mix how much is a cubic metre for there . Here in Australia it’s $230 per cube ...let me know Thnks
Do you know Shawn and Charlie from lost coast concrete pumping up in humboldt! Those my boys!I think they said they were from down in your area years back!
That is the best and easy way of pumping concrete and the wash process is very easy as i saw your video not same here in NZ damn we do it the hard way when we blow out the line with air, your way of cleaning is aesy ang safety as well we used putz linepumps
I was just in LA last year, drove thru the hills and every road construction construction it is crazy getting through the narrow streets. I couldn't imagine living there. Doesn't seem worth the hassle.
The reinforcing on the pływood , was it enough for the Concrete not to bulge it? It doesn’t look reinforced enough for me, and by the end of the video you could see it bulged
I live on a steep hill on the Oregon coast. My family had a retaining wall poured 15 years ago. The deck sits on top. The framing has clearly moved. Meaning the wall has moved. If built properly. Should this never move. Or is a hill side always an issue. That you can only contain?
Lol. Bro. The first two years, I pumped with sandals, no shirt and board shorts. Until some dick dropped a pallet of cement on my toe. That's how I graduated to the slippers. Lmao
West Coast Custom Concrete Thanks for replying Sir . You should make a video about steps , tips on starting a new concrete pumping business , I was in the restaurant business for a long time and now I wanna try something different
Shouldn't have passed here, I didn't see a vibrator to consolidate, he used dobies on this job. It's all about context and perspective, hes a sole proprietor with one or two pumps and this is a "big" job for him. Finish work is good, footings were clean, bar looked adequate, Dude does good work, definitely invest in vibrator bro.
4and a half is stiff in your pour. .man try pumping shotcrete with a hydraulic pump at 2and a half slump 400 ft of hose . Welcome to northern CA this little footing pour is a blow and go .I do sometimes three a day .
I wonder if the Concrete Underground would teach you how to do this? I wonder if the rest of these failures on CZcams ever drove in Laguna Beach, and saw your access. Maybe they wouldn't need to buy subscribers, and have greater respect for your work.

That's quite a compliment. Thanks
Best concrete videos on CZcams! Easily no compatition

Hey Shawn. I think you are getting the wrong idea.💯 I have no intention to offend you.

I will be doing more extensive videos on pumping concrete. thanks for watching richard👍
Ha, excellent! I've been to that point in the beginning of the vid! It's down the walkway off Cliff Drive! Nice!
Exactly! But don't tell anyone! I've been spear fishing there since I was a kid.
@@WestCoastCustomConcrete Ok...shh... lol.
Nice work. Best in the west.
Right on brother!

👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽Great work you guys didn’t have a form blowout. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Hey brother it all went perfect 👍
I'm a concretor from pa, I though some of the footers I poured on hills were tough! your rebar work looked very neat. Around here we don't gotta go to the same extent you do, Damn earthquake I guess
Thanks brother. They're so out of hand in Laguna Beach because a lot of the hillsides are clay and you have to go into bedrock.
The best in the west.
👍
Cheap bro , love your work god bless ya , what do you charge for trailer pump where you are is it hourly you got minimum 4hrs 1hr float ??
Generally I charge $250 for set up and $12yd.
great work
👊
No vibrator?
Good work bud .you only use 2.5inch rubber is your mix 10mil concrete good mix how much is a cubic metre for there . Here in Australia it’s $230 per cube ...let me know Thnks
I use a 2in line with 3/8 pea gravel. Concrete is $120yd.
Do you know Shawn and Charlie from lost coast concrete pumping up in humboldt! Those my boys!I think they said they were from down in your area years back!
I'm not sure if I've met them before.
Easy wash out do you have to put a plug and pump it with water on your hopper and you have a water tank together with your truck?
No sponge to wash out. Just water and I don't have a water tank on my truck anymore.
That is the best and easy way of pumping concrete and the wash process is very easy as i saw your video not same here in NZ damn we do it the hard way when we blow out the line with air, your way of cleaning is aesy ang safety as well we used putz linepumps
@@ronwin3577 Those are good pumps. I agree with you on the washout.
Which do you think is better, pour in place retaining wall, or block segmental retaining wall?
Matter of preference
I was just in LA last year, drove thru the hills and every road construction construction it is crazy getting through the narrow streets. I couldn't imagine living there. Doesn't seem worth the hassle.
I'm in orange county
The reinforcing on the pływood , was it enough for the Concrete not to bulge it? It doesn’t look reinforced enough for me, and by the end of the video you could see it bulged
It works good 👍💯

Sorry to hear that. It shouldn't have moved. Caissons into bed rock are essential for hillside construction.
West Coast Custom Concrete had a feeling you were going to say that. Damn it. Thanks for the response though.
Did you leave all that wood in the footing? Vibrator?
No
Another great video 👍🏻. Build that wall....retaining wall! Trump 2020
Hi
My design mix has 20mm aggregate size
Can you suggest me pipe size
🤩🤩👏🏽👏🏽
Tell me how you work with those sneakers😂😂😂
Lol. Bro. The first two years, I pumped with sandals, no shirt and board shorts. Until some dick dropped a pallet of cement on my toe. That's how I graduated to the slippers. Lmao
Logistical nightmare alright.
Big-time! My calves still hurt. Lol
How much would it coast to start a concrete pumping company ?
About $20,000 would get you a concrete pump with the system and you'd be good to go.

cute
?
Any type of drainage 🤔😵❓
Didn't vibrate it ☹️😞😧😦
No wonder California sliding into the
ocean.
👌
Best in the West? But leaves osb/wood in the footings? Time to up your game and use stay-form ffs.

It will be a shame to have all this good work slide into the sea when the next Big One hits.
It will be fine bro
you have not room for wall my friend rebar is pretty close to hill ground
that’s never pass inspection in VA 🙋🏿♂️🔨
It's not in Virginia

I've done work in Virginia and West Virginia, you people are hill Billy's and your codes don't even come close to California.
