EU bank boosts funding for young businesses in Africa

The EIB is partnering with the EU and Member States to help ambitious entrepreneurs grow their businesses in regions where there is little or no suitable funding on offer. Using smart financial instruments, such as guarantees, we can de-risk investment in young entrepreneurs via local financing partners and crowd-in more financing. This helps them grow from start-ups to established companies, creating opportunities and changing communities across the globe.
