I run 5 - 1 classic & then I turned on ALC & go into ALC per optic & turned it ON! Instead of 4-5-6 it’s 4.1 4.2 4.3 etc…now just go back & turn ALC off and just leave per optic on in ALC. changed my aim so much!

What is your opinion on Hall effect thumbsticks? I’ve tried them on 3rd party controllers and found that even though when testing the polling rate it seemed fine, there was some obvious delay in game which was noticeable especially when target bouncing in the range and fast micro adjustments close range in fights.
Have you tried Hall effect sensors on a non 3rd party controller?
you mentioned a few weeks ago that you realized your controller cord had a wack refresh rate, how did you test this and what cord did you replace it with?
Just a better micro-usb idk why but I had a faulty one that was maxing at 120hz
thanks for the reply and the video 👍 you should make a similar video for audio settings. i use an astro headset but i have no idea what the best EQ settings are. ive tried a few different settings/guides but i still feel as tho im not playing with fully optimized audio

Ngl, I didn’t know about u till last algs finals. I like how u play. I do have a problem with 3x 4x aiming with ARs. What would u recommend? I’m on p5. I played alcs and they just aren’t good for me. Been sticking to 4-3 now
awesome video. I love no dead zone and don’t mind the drift but the drift becomes a problem when throwing nades, smokes, ults, it’s so sensitive and affects accuracy. Any tips or suggestions?
Learn the drift when you go for a lineup you let it do its thing then practice the perfect amount of pressure you have to put in whatever direction to make it neutral rinse and repeat
one of the biggest things that change sens is the fps cap and what you use to cap. RTSS/NVCP/fps_max all make the sens feel different.

You have v-sync off but on console it's free-sync I've had it on since I got this new monitor. does keeping that on create more input lag on console?
Do you have Gsync or Vsync enabled in the Nvidia settings to cap it at 138?
Only difference with my sens is i set my response curve on steam to 199 (200 is linear) to just sort of "take the edge off" linear if that makes sense. Im also trying to decide if i like having target compensation on or off in alc for bleedthrough

Good video. One thing I'd point out, its actually the other way around - Nvidia Reflex overrides Low Latency Mode in nvidiacontrol panel.
Neither completely overrides the other in my testing, having low latency off & on ultra affects how reflex feels and vice versa obviously.
@@torsteinminer4929 how accurate is your testing? Nvidia themselves have said that reflex on will override low latency mode in nvidi control panel

Is there real evidence of the ALCs and per optics bleeding through even when off? That sounds crazy and like they would have fixed that before. May have to mess with mine if true.

This is the 3rd time i hear about bleed through....i guess its real then. The question now is, does it work the opposite way? Does linear or classic affect my alc settings im running? Ive swapped to linear 4-3 now to see how i play for the next couple weeks. But normally run alc's.

Is there a specific reason to cap frames at 138 and not 144 for example?
Loved the Astro c40 shame it got discontinued. I moved on to the ps5 edge on pc but was considering trying the Razer PlayStation controller but so far really enjoying the edge
Liked the edge except for the paddles, back buttons are so much more comfortable to me

Idk if this is a dumb question but if I’m on console but only getting 60 fps I saw u still recommended classic, would I keep my response curve in alc’s classic 10 or is it better to have that at 0 linear, idk if having two different curves affects anything or not
It definitely depends on what your most comfortable with because with linear it’s definitely way more loose but with classic it more stagnant

When I have look dead zone on none, my screen moves around to much. So I put it on small instead. Is that normal to happen?
I have a question. I love the feel of 240, but in a lot of scenarios (really just in fights) my fps tends to dip to 180. Does unstable frames create latency and should I cap my frames to lower or does it even matter?
Yes, it’ll feel really good at 240 but when your fps starts to fluctuate, it’s cause your aim to feel delayed. It’s better to just cap it to something your computer can constantly stay at. It won’t feel as good as 240, but overall your aim will be a lot more consistent

9:30 you can always use steam input to get like a 1% deadzone, its a small sacrifice to get a shitload less drift

Don't use steam input. It has input deley. It's very small but if you turn it off youll feel the difference
When u say less recoil bout the fov what do u mean by that like the higher u go u get less or lower? Sorry still tryna wrap my head around this
Less visual recoil the higher your FOV is because your gun is smaller on your screen
There is defently something going on with going alcs then going back to linear, my aim slowed down but also felt way stronger on aim assist
yeah bro something has been off with my controller for the past year. aim assist and sensitivity so off. i can change a random setting and it gets fixed for a bit but the next day i hop on everything back to being messed up

My biggest question is that for me on console even with the 120hz enable 4-3 linear small dead zone feels slow at times when using a 2x sight and it kinda fucks with me a bit and not only that but my long range be lacking a bit in comparison to classic and I’ve try getting used to linear multiple times and make up for that but it just seems like I’m better on classic all around but I’ve hit my skill ceiling on classic and can’t seem to get any better but I guess my question would be should I keep on playing on linear and get used to how it feels or would I be wasting my time since classic is better for console players? Since PC has more frames and less input lag linear must feel very different and way more responsive and 3 sens wouldn’t necessarily feel slow like it does for me so idk what to do.
Definitely a huge difference between the 2 platforms was a huge classic abuser on console because of how choppy the game felt never got to try 120fps compared to 60 though (I played 3-3 classic and played mega slow lmao)
@@Dezignful yeah anything under 4 on classic is chalk bro 😂, but with the 120hz enable on Console classic feels a bit better for tracking left and right I just can’t seem to stay put in either input and is mainly due to every pro being on linear and it just makes me think It’s the better thing to use so I keep switching back to linear instead of being where I feel most comfortable in.

Could be worth playing around with your ALC settings, especially depending on your playstyle AND controller. I've tried 4-3 (classic and linear) and they both felt off to me. Had to keep messing around with my ALC til I found a good sweet spot with my sensitivity/deadzone/response curve.

Yes every alc setting bleeds over not just the top 3
I suggest you set the ALC to default like he does, then change the top 3 to 0 every time

It’s not as fluid on console the response curve is to smooth on console at least was on 60fps

Classics fine. Try 4-3, 4-4, 3-3 maybe
Definitely don’t have to classic works just fine but linear is much more consistent
Does hall effect really matter ? Is better to cop controller with hall effect rather the stock one?
Hall effect has a very weird inner tension in order to have no drift and causes much tougher/less fluid micro adjustments i don't like them personally giving up alot of control/natural range of motion to have no drift
@@Dezignfulidk what controllers you’ve used with halls but it should have decreased tension compared to a standard potentiometer. Maybe a software thing depending on the roller? I build custom rollers and if it’s a PS4 roller with halls that are properly calibrated, it should be just as if not more accurate/responsive. Calibration options for the PS5/Xbox rollers are pretty lacking unfortunately.
@@BigDC9708 on the Gsir t7 the thumbsticks did feel a bit loose atleast compared to DS5, I recently got the Flydigi Apex 4 which lets u customize the tension and I did feel a bit of the tougher inner tension on my left.. I need to do more experimenting on whether it’s bad/good or if it’s only when on low tension. High tension let 500 horizontal alc feel slow and I normally play on 360 sens.

i play on the x-Box elite 2 and i know the drift is insane on this controller. just want to know if it is a SMALL Deadzone angle or is it worth going NONE even tho its A LOT of drift?
for context: my drift isnt THAT bad when i let go but as soon as i let my thumb rest on the joy it goes WILD. like throwing nades and aiming with 3x feels really hard but idk if that is bc im new to none or if it is impossible to get confident with it
thats probably one of the worst controllers you can use for competitive fps
It’s all about finding the amount of pressure you have to put in to return the drift to neutral and taming the drift if it’s too intense I’d recommend staying on small till you end up getting a brand new one
yeah it feels like its manageable, at least until i get a new one, to minimize the changes when i get the new controller. but what controller should i buy? i see that you are using the Astro C40 but that's very hard to get a hold of + i live in Norway so the restock on these products often takes a LONG time.
