- NOTE: This video is intended for general audiences! (Also fuck made for kids!)
Here is the next VHS review, Sing-Along & Stories! I had a lot of fun making this one as this is the first VHS review done through Vegas. And on top of that, I thought we could change things up a little bit. I not only re-edited my VHS intro but I'm experimenting new fonts in the history, episodes, and credits sections and will be continued for the remaining reviews. Work on Team Up With Thomas will begin over the weekend, and I hope to have it out by the end of the month. Hope you all enjoy, and I will see you all in the next video!

I OWN NOTHING IN THIS VIDEO! THIS IS STRICTLY FOR ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES ONLY!!! - Zábava
I remember having this VHS tape when I was a boy scout.
I remember getting the 2002 VHS reprint of this for Easter back in 2004.
One of my very first Thomas tapes and I couldn’t get enough of it.
Sing-Along and Stories is definitely an S tier release. Great review!
Honestly, for a Thomas and Friends Sing-Along release, this is a great one! And honestly, I wish we had a lot of the original Season 3 and 4 songs released on DVD in the UK!
Oh well, at least the US had a good share…
Hope you’re ok after your latest review on the beginning of the CGI series, you deserve it!
Catchy songs, memorable episodes a golden classic definitely one of my favorite VHS is in my childhood
Another great review, Tay. Toby is a bop, and is also among my favorite Classic Series songs.
I love the fact that Let’s have a race starts very slow and then turns to fast pace within seconds
OH MY GOSH!! As a person that grew up with this VHS tape out of all the other Thomas tapes this was an amazing review!! 😃 Sing Along Songs and Stories had the best classic songs and also the 2 stories included were always so memorable to me!! Thomas’ Anthem is a great fan favorite by all, Let’s Have a Race was very thrilling, Gone Fishing is perfect for anyone wanting to laid back once in a while and I still prefer the Junior Campbell version, Peter Sam and the Refreshment Lady was a fantastic episode, Toby is just absolutely amazing showcasing our favorite tram engine, Don’t Judge a Book By its Cover is a fantastic and also very important song to remember, Bulldog which I can honestly say is another great Duke episode, The Island Song is absolutely the most BEAUTIFUL song ever, Really Useful Engine is also a great song as I like all 3 versions of the song, and It’s Great To Be An Engine wasn’t a bad choice to include on the DVD version! Overall: Sing Along Songs and Stories will be apart of my childhood and I’m glad to relive this memory!! 😃🥹 Great work once again Tay and I hope you’ll make it through the Team Up with Thomas DVD as it did have some bad episodes including one in particular.
There isn't many episodes in that one. And I'm guessing the worst of the worst is Push Me Pull You.
17:39 Oh boy… This will be painful to do. I can already feel it.
It's no surprise that season 12 is her least favorite model season of Thomas.
This was my first introduction to Thomas the Tank Engine ever! I have the 2002 VHS release and later had the 2009 DVD release (Hop on Board with Songs and Stories)! I would watch this over hundreds of times and I couldn’t get enough of it, there’s so much I could say about it! Nice Job , this is a awesome review!
I love these songs more than most pop music today. They're quaint little tunes, yet each song has a different melody.
I notice the intro is now widescreen! Nice. While it does cut off a lot of the footage it’s still nice
I like it better in widescreen. Baring in mind, I am experimenting on a lot of new ways to make them look better on Vegas
I was singing through all the songs in that review, great job Tay. In terms of your next review, Team Up with Thomas, good luck on that, I got a punching pillow in case you need it looool.
I remember having the 2006 DVD as a kid, and I still do to this day, along with Trackside Tunes which I got not too long ago in Christmas 2023. It's the oldest Thomas DVD that I still have today. Listening to some of the songs as a kid, my favourite was Let's Have a Race. I spun and danced to this whenever the main chorus of the song started, and It's one of my best memories. I also enjoyed Thomas' Anthem, Don't Judge a Book by its Cover, Toby and Really Useful Engine. Listening to these as an adult and a classic Thomas fan gives me a whole lot of nostalgia and I still have fun listening to some of these.
I will be playing the Thomas Anthem after Thomas makes his big return in Stories of Sodor.
I have that one on dvd
Nice job, Tay! This is definitely one Thomas release that I won’t be pushing aside anymore, and I’ll be looking for it to add it to my Home Media Collection.
And good luck with Team Up With Thomas, and although you might be reviewing it alone, I’m be there to see you through.
On a quick side note, since you’re now using Vegas to make your videos, I like the new style that will be used going forward, but for now, see you in Team Up With Thomas - DVD Review.
I only Remember Thomas Anthem, the Island Song, Let's have a race, Never judge a book by it's cover, Toby and Really Useful Engine.
Another great review by Yami Tay. I thought you were going to have a mixed opinion about Bulldog. But I guess I was wrong. I bet you’ll get through Team up with Thomas. You just got to be brave
Thomas & Friends' soundtrack is really great and catchy.
Hey, Taylor! Just finished listening to your latest Thomas VHS or DVD review. I saw Sing Along and Stories on UK Mother's Day and it's easily one of series 4's best releases! Carlin's narration on the stories on this release as well as the music from Mike and Junior, as always, is iconic!
From Thomas's Anthem, Don't Judge A Book By It's Cover, The Island Song etc, Every classic series song is legendary and speaking of legendary music, in the UK, there was a VHS titled Singalong with Thomas containing all the Series 3 through 5 songs that really should have had a DVD version. Looking forward to your next review! Zak.
Love this one. I have it last year and it is great to listen to it
I never owned this as a kid but since I had the best of Thomas dvd I got to hear four of the songs on this.
This was actually my first Thomas and friends vhs tape that I own When I was a kid
I remember watching this VHS Tape At My Grandma’s . I Think This VHS Tape Also have the two stories I never watched before when I was younger
I remember renting many Thomas DVDS from my local library a lot as a kid, Sing-Along and Stories being one of them. It was kind of interesting having a couple of episodes play in between the songs.
Thomas' Anthem is a great song to kick off the tape! Wouldn't it been great if they used the song for the final episode of Thomas?
Let's Have a Race is really fun song!😄
Gone Fishing is a really laid-back song. And I like both versions.😌
Peter Sam and the Restaurant Lady is a great episode. And yes, I found it really weird that they used Gordon's face mask for Henry.
Toby's song is a great way describes our favourite tram engine!😊
Don't Judge a Book By Its Cover is also a great song with an important message. The original version and Headmaster Hastings' cover are both really good, however I absolutely love the Shining Time Station Live version as it sounds amazing! (Link: czcams.com/video/FDu_gKCLN-Q/video.htmlsi=sAu8q2KIdfZh3-76) Also, am I the only one who can't help but wonder what happened if they used tge song during the end credits of the MLP Episode Bridle Goosip as the message of the episode is similar to the song?
Bulldog is a great episode to teach others about respecting your elders.
The Island Song is a really beautiful song!🥹
While Every Cloud Has a Silver Lining is my overall favourite song, Really Useful Engine is definitely one of my favourite songs. All three versions are really good, but the TATMR version is definitely the best, hands down!
It's Great to Be An Engine is a fantastic song!😁
Every Cloud has a Silver Lining is my all time favourite song too! And I agree TATMR's rendition of Really Useful Engine is the best.
I’ve heard Headmaster’s version and I love it! I made an MV with but changed it to the original version
I remember getting the 97 one with the wooden whistle when it came out. I still have the whistle.
NGL: the older I get, the more it get harder to not tear up when listening to "Toby" especially at the end part.
Oh Yes One Of My Favorite Season 4 Releases
Its Sing Along and Stories
This is quite coincidental that I got the take along (Falcon) Sir Handel around the time this was uploaded.
Thomas Anthem’: An absolute classic, Perfect start to the music videos.
Let’s Have a Race: Not one of my favorites but still very catchy.
Gone Fishing: The first Thomas song I heard as a kid very relaxing.
Peter Sam & the Refreshment Lady: This episode does a really good job of showcasing Peter Sam’s Character & the ending is hilarious. 8.5/10
Toby: Fantastic song, Perfectly suits Toby.
Don’t Judge a Book By its Cover: This was my favorite song as a kid. My family still pokes fun at how much I used to sing it.
Bulldog: One of my favorites from Season 4, Duke’s character is at its strongest & Falcon dangling from the cliff is very tense 10/10
The Island Song: I did not appreciate this song as a kid but as an adult it’s become my favorite Thomas song,
Very Beautiful.
Really Useful Engine: Very catchy, Perfectly suits Thonas.
It’s Great to be an Engine: One of my favorites as a kid, I don’t love this one as much as I used to but it is very catchy.
I know you stated you cared for the songs and not the stories themselves on this release, well this might be a surprise to you but as a kid, it was kinda the opposite way round for me. I wasn't really in the musical entertainment industry (as far as song compilations). I was more interested in the episodes so back when I play this (and Trackside Tunes), I always wanted to skip forward to both of them. Now as I grew older, now I became so hooked with the songs and there are even some favorites I can really enjoy listening to and jam to (even the deleted/extended scenes used are amazing to watch).
Also, if anyone were to ask which Thomas release did I first see in childhood, well it's kinda vague but I think it would've been an episode from S1 or 4 (could be this VHS apparently or Thomas Gets Tricked). Either way, it is still a very nostalgia release (since I now have it on DVD) that I can fondly look back.
I still have plans to get this tape tay but I haven't managed to get it yet
Brilliant video Yami tay👍😊🤩😁
Thank you for that recent review on Sing Along and Stories, Taylor. It’s one of my favorite Thomas Season 4 releases narrated by George Carlin. Also, did you know the 2002 tape along with Special Letter was released the same day as Best of James as well as the DVD for Make Someone Happy?
Wait so was "It's Great to be an Engine" like literally baked into the main feature? Or was it simply included as a bonus feature on the DVD and nothing more?
It plays literally right after Really Useful Engine (and it’s a separate bonus feature)
@@yamitay9258 Interesting.
I had this
I think the DVD actually had this as well
Thanks yami for liking these comments 😃
Personally? I always found Gone Fishing to be weird. I agree it's relaxing, but what even is this song about? It's not about a character, or an episode, or anything. It's just some random song about fishing, which is fine but considering the focal character has only expressed an interest in fishing once (and hated the experience, mind you), why even bother?
Why not? You don’t need a song to describe a character or episode every time
@@yamitay9258 I was just using those as examples, I know it's not anything close to an actual rule. Still, I don't really enjoy it. Like I said, just felt like a weird motif for a Thomas song.
