SECOSECOSECO - "SECOSECOSECO" (2024, full album)

I will never understand how the Rejano brothers, with such a "rocknrolla" past, and being natives from the most rocker city in the south of southern Spain, El Puerto de Santa Maria, could become such an oblique and experimental binomial, that after an infinity of singles and a couple of EPs, can demonstrate with their heads held high, that with their first full-length 12", they have survived the attempt... And I must confess, as much as I love their sound, and after having premiered on the channel absolutely everything they have released, something for which I will always be eternally grateful, I would never have bet on it, I have been in this for too long and I have seen many other glorious inventions like this one fail, unfairly and prematurely, but here is SECOSECOSECO, defying their origins and the easy way out, making that fabulous, challenging and empirical No Wave, convoluted and built on 90 degree structures, that by being reiterative becomes groovy and even danceable, and that despite being made of all those weird architectural elements that we really love and give sense to our channel, it doesn't look like anything else I've heard before, and that maybe with good sense the great Paco Loco one day called "No Puerto"
