I can’t stop playing this game it’s a masterpiece.
After figuring i had to stay up till 6am playing the game I woke up at 1030 and contemplated calling out of work so I could play.

I'm waiting for the rest of the game to dl, but played the beginning. So far, im very impressed with this games flow, wish there was a lock on though, or button to sheath your sword. Also, its the second sword based game I've played. Well done to the creators. Can't wait for the ps5 version!

You don't need more armour sets. Like what aspect of gameplay is lacking an armour that maximizes it's effectiveness? None. Every armour can be used to maximize every style u can play with.
The right charm build can bolster every playstyle any player could want to utilize.
You want to be a master archer? Tadayori's armour has everything you need. Add the right charms it's OP.
Want to be a ninja assassin? You have two/three options. Ronin Attire is great stealth with stats that buff melee combat so it can be used well in duels or in a pinch when stealth breaks. Ghost armour is the version of that that plays more into the story/fantasy side of its mythos, inflicting fear upon enemies.
You can even run a hybrid Ghost Weapon/Melee centric playstyle with the Kensei Mythic armour that has the best resolve gains of any armour and can fuel more prolific use of Mythic Abilities.
Gosaku is basically designed to be a tank in the heat of the fight. Constantly staggering and healing and is the best straight Melee armour u can have.
Like to Standoff? Sakai Armour is the one for you. With the melee buff and massive health increase to help with the insuing battle after your initial initation.
Like to melee but aren't as good at the combat? Maxed Samurai Clan Armour is more than capable of getting you through the game with it's good overall stats.
I fail to see what more armours could be added that are even necessary> Anything else that needs buffing can be buffed with charms

This is a perfect example of Suckerpunch doing customization in a game with no dlc crap, "So you want new cosmetics for your character? Weapon skins, costume skins, hats, headbands, armour? I change his clothing depending on what I plan on doing ... if I’m wandering around I’ll wear the travelers fit ... if I’m invading mongols I put on ronin attire or armor and head band of fear with the avenging lord mask

All the towering temple structures have a headband on them. Each one also plays a unique theme once you reach the top.

@@GoldenGoatX the black Oni hat is the upgraded Ronin set hat. You dont find it, you get it after you get ronin armour level 2 or 3. The red oni hat is an actual rare item found in the world.

Exactly, I thought that he was going to talk about stuff that is not shown in the map or that the wind of vanity wont detect. Also, some of the best cosmetic gear is available on New game+. You will be able to buy new dyes, net hats, new armor, new awesome masks. And everything that is upgradeable has one more updgrade available.
How do i use the wind of vanity i bought it with my technique point but how do i make it lead me to the items, (sorry kinda new to the game)

When you find all charms, sword hilts, and fox dens you get some very cool masks. I’ve Platinum this game with 100% completion. Working through my second play through on lethal. Needless to say, I love this game.

for those interested in a ninja look i suggest trying the black dye tayadori armor with a dark headband and the thief or haunted dreams mask and it looks pretty dope. Although you definitely need charms to balance out not having other buffs and be decent at combat at it won't give you any problems.

Fun fact: the Band of the second son (5:41) is actually a reference to another Sucker Punch Prod. game called Infamous Second Son. It reads "The colours of a warrior form a distant time and place", alluding to Delsin Rowe in Seattle, where the game takes place.

I honestly couldn’t understand why I enjoyed playing this game so much and then I realized it’s a sucker punch game and I was basically playing an adult version of sly cooper. The acrobatics are similar and all of slys different family members could represent the different “skins” and cosmetic in comparison to ghost. Very awesome game. Can’t wait for Ghost 2.

Actually if you have spent points on the Vanity Wind skill it will lead you to all the Vanity Items.....that is how i found the ONI Hat.

I've finished Act 1 last week, liberated Izuhara already and cleared the island, but I missed ALL secret items for Izuhara that you've mentioned. This guide is good.

Diet: none; she exists as a spirit only
Appearance: Nasu babā resembles an ugly old hag. Her skin is dark purple and her face is said to resemble an eggplant with teeth. She haunts Mount Hiei, around the Enryaku-ji temple complex. She is known as one of the “Seven Wonders of Mount Hiei.”
Behavior: Despite her grotesque and frightening appearance, nasu babā is not a wicked yōkai. She spends most of her time lurking in dark rooms around Enryaku-ji or wandering around Mount Hiei, away from prying eyes. However, when there is a disaster at the temple, she warns the people living there by ringing the temple’s bell.
In 1571, Oda Nobunada attacked Enraku-ji and set fire to the temple complex. The fleeing monks reported seeing through the flames a disheveled old woman ringing the temple’s bell to alert the mountain to the danger.
Interactions: On the rare occasions that her path crosses with a human’s, she greets them with a big smile. The shock is often enough to cause the human to faint, but nasu babā is able to revive them with her magic and send safely them on their way.

I just got the game. I can see how they got inspiration from Tenchu and Shinobido. Two features from those two franchises that I would have loved to see in Ghost of Tsushima are the ability to move bodies and having the enemies move the bodies of their fallen comrades for added detail and realism.

This game honestly needs a positive review bomb. This is the kind of game that should be encourage. No cosmetic DLCs all free you just need to find it inside the game. If they release a Story DLC for this game I'm for sure buying it. The Devs did good work! Hoping for the next gen games to follow suit. (Hoping Sucker Punch makes a Ninja based game)

I've been rocking the sakai set with the gosaku mask, looks to good to have a full black heavily armored samurai.
I really enjoy this game but they need to be more unique in terms of secret items. I rarely didnt care much for headbands because I usually wear the kensai refine hat throughout the game. They should atleast give us secret armor or maybe better looking hats instead of 500 headbands

Love that red straw hat. Didn't know about it so will get it soon. I find most of the headbands you get from haikus, merchants and these ones you find to be boring. I'm on Act 2 but just started. My faves so far are the headband from the white dye merchant, and the headband of death. I have a black strawhat too.
IMO fully upgraded Gosaku armour in black with refined helmet in white is the coolest and with the most useful effect: stagger
By equipping further staggering charms it becomes one hit stagger and free hits after that.

When the birds first led me to those temples I thought they would eventually open and I was going to do an Enter the Dragon style fight to the top. I felt so dumb when I figured out I was supposed to grapple to the top. Oh, what could have been.
i ran with the black ronin armor with the basic samurai half mask, and death headband, along with the basic sakai clan kitana skin, and dont forget the black horse... killer look for me...

I just got the ghost armour last night, dyed it all black and I'll literally never change outfit again. But I will definitely collect every single thing in this game. Then I'll probably start a new playthrough in kurasawa mode and see if I can do a zero upgrade playthrough

Zero upgrade play through will be impossible.... considering I’ve beaten act 1 and going through the land in act 2 I’ve come across territory which says it’s too advanced for my character and got laid the fuck out by 10 arrows all at once. So good luck.
I wish the ghost armor was a little cooler and maybe less raggedy, but i still like it.
I've been rocking the all black Sakai Clan armor, but was thinking about upgrading the Kensei armor because that upgraded hat is some straight up Kung Lao drip. 😂

One you're missing from the southern part, the Spring Bamboo sword kit. It's at the Pillar of Honor, west of Shigenori Peak. Green/black set of swords.
That one is marked on the map, he's only covering unmarked "secret" items.

Tengai is te helmet/hat/mask used by the monks who plays the shakuhachi flute (the in game flute used to change the weather).

look around for a bunch of blue butterflies, they usually group around an item.

I don't know why you didn't talk about the swords there are some REALLY nice sword that you can find in the world just like those headbands.I would suggest using the wind that helps you find items (i forgot the name) in the exploration section if i remember correctly.

Lewis my favorite ones are: breath of hachiman, yasha's embers, bishamon's fortune and fuujin's secret. Unfortunately i have no idea were i got them since i almost have them all but you should check them out with the wind of vanity. I personally like color scheme like black and red.

Just got this game and I’m so excited to finally play a really good single player game.
Just a heads ups he means secret COSMETIC items. No hidden OP swords in the game sadly, but just thought I should mention the slightly misleading title incase cosmetics is not what you are after atm.
To be fair, the "OP" stuff in the game is whatever combination you come up with your gear. For instance, most of the endgame content I went through it with barely any damage using an almost infinite Heavenly Strike build.
I played this game since Tuesday and only cleared about half of the bottom territory such a beautiful world and fights under the moonlight 😍
I had the bird guide me into the forge and the tower but never understood why, now I get it!

Curious to see how people like playing more, who likes playing more as The Ghost and who likes playing more like a Samurai? Personally I prefer playing more like a Samurai. My favorite armor sets are the Saki Clan armor and the set you get from Masako. I’m excited to get the Mongol armor tho, it looks pretty interesting, the perks aren’t anything too special tho.

They're not secret, you just have to equip the traveler's attire and set the wind to cosmetic items and you'll find them all without the need of a guide.

I just noticed that after a certain amount of upgrades of the traveler's attire (don't know how many, I assume up to the third) there is a single firefly that helps point you in the direction of the artifacts and blink in sync with the vibration of the controller.

Since Jin is a samurai turned ninja and his clan was disbanded they should have a dlc for the campaign that you play after the main campaign has been beaten where he take the ghosts followers and starts his own clan of assassins. I feel like this would be dope

I like Ronin River Bandit + Seybus wrathful gaze + Azure Dragon outfit. And that blue/white Headband.
Not a fan of the Ronin bonuses but for fashion it is nice.
And for an undead Samurai I wear Genbus Darkness + destroyed armor + Woodland Spirit hat + that skeleton mask

While trying to retrieve the forge masters head band I missed the beam while dropping in off the the roof and died....wish i would have seen this video first though because I spent 30 minutes wondering around that house trying to figure out where and why the bird was leading me there.

It looks like the Ghost Armor which you get a bit late in the game based on the name.
