    The data is the difference between science and dicking around.
    I’m all for it man, I’ve seen people who act like you’re a clickbaity fish tuber- this shows you’re entertaining and engaging but you still do the rigorous study people attribute other ‘serious’ channels . You can be both and this kinda content proves it!

    As a newcomer to fishkeeping I've learned so much from the channel. I would love to see a discus video explaining how to house them in a display tank. The breeding stuff is interesting but I think most fishkeepers have display tanks, and would benefit from your experience in how to have success housing different types of fish in display tanks. You don't need to build the tanks, tell us how to do it so we can give it a try.

Thank you for being honest (even brutally honest) with everyone so we're informed.

    I wish I had some of this knowledge 45 years ago as I bred Angelfish. The hobby has come so far in that time. I expect that was driven by salt water keeping. I was unaware of nitrite and nitrates until I got a saltwater tank, and never thought of carrying that over to fresh water. Water changes kept the Angelfish healthy and growing. I never thought of getting into the analytical things you touched on here. Thanks Joey

    I’m a data scientist so LOVE these more in depth videos, but can’t help notice that after a 50% water change, the nitrates don’t reduce by 50%, more like 30%. Are there nitrates in the water being used to fill up the tanks?

    • @annalee7403
      @annalee7403 Před 3 lety

      Yes, there can be nitrates in water supplies. These can be filtered out. But at a 50% water change, one reaches a point of diminishing returns, since nitrates continue to be formed in the aquarium.
