Also if you want to see me continue doing these attempts(whether to see the yield or if you enjoy the reveal quality) do leave a like to support me! I will always do at least 1 attempt per year(starting now) for as long as i have a backyard 😂 But the extra support encourages & supports me to try even more attempts per year, as well as try out & experiment different growing mediums & fertilizers, which will eventually end up as 'Tips' videos in the future! 👍

Pro tip: Bigger sweet potato=less sweetness, sweet potatos when they grow, share the same amount of sugars on each one of them, regardless of size, so a normal size and a huge one has actually the same amount of sugars on them. so tiny ones are the mos sweet of all and larger ones the less sugars and dull flavor

      Good to know!

I have never heard that, and have eaten a wide variety of sizes. Generally they all taste about the same to me. What you say sounds pretty much impossible to me. A sweet potato is the energy store for the plant, in which starches form from the sugars created by photosynthesis as the root bulks up. The curing process converts those starches back into to sugars, and when baked, the remaining starches convert into yet more sugar. If they all had the same amount of total sugar regardless of size, I would expect a hollow cavity in the bigger ones, or at least for the flesh to start getting foamy and bland. But there isn't a cavity, and even our largest sweet potatoes have been dense and delicious. So, it must be generating additional sugars as the root gets larger.

Like from animals? None attack them, even the mice here don't target any of my veggies 😂 The only pests that eat the roots are insects like grubs & mole crickets
