Diana has an absolutely unique polyphonic voice. She just turned 15 here. Now she is 20 years old. Her fans call her the queen of goosebumps.

I have seen a few episodes of this Russian show, You Are Super. The organisers seem to be very considerate to the children they are working with. Providing them with songs and settings that neither over-shadow them nor demean their abilities. In the case of Diana they realised they had found a true diamond who would only be more perfectly displayed by the gorgeous musical and stage settings they placed her in.
Diana was only 15 years old at the time of this performance she is absolutely incredible. Diana has a brand new original song that just came out last week it is called, The Day You….. she has really been working hard this last year on her upper range and she displays this and this song she goes almost into the whistle range. There are other songs where she clearly has additional effects on her voice, and I’d be shocked if she doesn’t always have some level of reverb on her mic like every other professional singer has.

Diana's interpretation of this beautiful Chris Isaak song is absolutely incredible and unexpected. It's quite a contrast to the laid back offering by Angelina Jordan, which is also beautiful but in the a completely way. It's remarkable how the interpretation can make or break a song. 😎
Greetings! According to my feelings, the musical geniuses from the NTV channel used a harp instead of a guitar to design this masterpiece, and the drums sound very similar to Tibetan ones. A fascinating combination with the unique sound of Diana's voice. As for the high notes, in the last song, if I'm not mistaken, Diana went to the whistle, and the 5th octave is submissive to her - this is for the counter-viola, fantastic!
Thanks for the reaction to Diana. You correctly heard the unusual instruments in the musical accompaniment of this performance by Diana. In addition to the guitar, there really are drums, but not African, but Tibetan (Indian), as well as an instrument in the form of a bowl that gives a resonating note when a metal pestle is constantly driven along the edge of the bowl (I'm sorry I can't remember the name now, since this is a rare oriental instrument).

Кроме гитары там действительно есть барабаны, но не африканские, а тибетские (индийские), а так же инструмент в виде чаши который даёт резонирующую ноту, когда по кромке чаши постоянно ведут металлическим пестиком (извиняюсь сейчас название не вспомню, так как это редкий восточный инструмент).

The backing vocals, that you questioned, is not Diana. She has confirmed that it was supplied by a professional vocalist.
for those who don't know.......Diana was abused and abandoned as a child by her mother.....was mute........raised in a Russian orphange for a few years.....her adoptive Mum provided voice and singing lessons to help Diana overcome her early trauma.......she is a natural Contralto, rare and the lowest female vocalist register......she is also polyphonic (able to sing multiple notes simultaneously).....she is a remarkable performer.....

One of my favorites by her is from the "Show Mask Go On" entitled "Oh' It's Not Yet Evening" czcams.com/video/cfTiQkJrLi0/video.html. It's an over 300 year old folk song about a Cossack warrior who dreams of his death in an imminent battle. On Diana's face you see sadness, anxiety and pain of the soul of the Cossack warrior. One would swear she borrowed that soul to perform the song.
You might enjoy this one also ,by Palageya if you haven't heard it yet . Diana did her usual own amazing version but I don't think anyone can match Palageya on this song .

I have heard her sing it but still would rather listen to Diana. I'm not sure how many people appreciate the emotional gasps she produces here that absolutely melt me.
I have met the definition of genius - it is 10-20% of unique talents and 80-90% of constant work. Diana fully meets this definition. Among the talents, it is necessary to highlight a unique ear, she can sing almost any a cappella song, which she constantly demonstrates at her concerts, a unique larynx, which is responsible for her unique voice, which she masterfully owns, amazing emotional expressiveness and artistry. I can still continue, but this is more than enough.
Now about her work. Once in an interview she was asked how much time a day she spends on music lessons? Her answer: I have compulsory classes to improve my vocal skills, but actually I sing all the time. For example, I cook something to eat and always hum some tunes from my songs. Somewhere 1.5-2 years ago, she said that she was working on expanding her range. In the show "Masked Singers", which took place earlier this year, for the first time she demonstrated higher notes than she had previously been subject to. Но уровень её выступлений был так высок, что судьи не решались выгнать её из шоу в течении 4-х туров.

Я бы сказал что звуки ударных инструментов похожи на традиционный индийский барабан "Табла" Но вероятней так звучит современный электронный ударный инструмент "Ханг" Но возможно и что-то другое.

Диане не нужны электронные прибамбасы, ну разве что микрофон и небольшая реверберация для эффекта пространственной глубины, имитация присутствие зала, а остальное делает только её голос.

I think Diana is Polyphonic and sings in about 5 different languages. ( try Diana singing 'Dernier Danse' - is in French and is beautiful. )
What you called the “pitch bend” effect on the drum is probably a “DUGGY” playing technique

Try Diana singing 'Rechenka' is in Russian but do not need lyrics to experience the emotions that Diana can portray so beautifully.
The drum sounds like an Indian Tabla. It's a pair of medium sized hand drums and the tone can be raised in pitch by pressing the palm on the drum head while it's struck with the other hand. Gives it that woop-woop sound. Supposed to be pretty hard to master. PJ
