    Yep, been using Arch Oil before Bill Hewitt knew about it. Great stuff. I have a 7.3 and change out the HPOP oil every time and put 16 oz arch oil in that way. No need to leave 1 qt dirty oil for every 4 qts new oil. Glad you discovered this product.

    I throw a bottle of the oil additive in with every oil change and I use the fuel additive also. Has worked really well in my old 7.3 and my new 6.0.

    I just got an 03 6.0 powerstroke, first diesel and didn't know about changing fuel filters as frequently as I'm supposed to and the person I bought it from didn't know it either and I don't think she changed them at all. I had my truck for a couple of months and it started missing really bad and no power whatsoever and it didn't make it home but finally did start and made it home. I changed both filters and it started right up but now smokes really really bad and has a slight miss. I'm thinking maybe trash got to the injectors and need to be cleaned. It also had a whistling sound if under pressure. Great video thanks 👍

    I got a 6.0 Excursion last year with 132,000 miles on it. I have not had any issues at all with it. I found out about Archoil right after I got it. I’ve been using it in the fuel and every oil change. I have 157,573 miles on it now.
    I daily drive the truck. ZERO ISSUES! 👍

    Check your Ficm and make sure it’s at 48 volts. That will cause you injector issues down the line.

    Your tech is correct archoil will help the sticking and they will pass contribution test, if you keep your oil and coolant changed you'll be fine, but do not start that truck and take off cold, really bad to do, I'm a diesel tech , let you tolerances and block, oil and coolant get to atleast 80 degrees minimum, buy a tuner x4 or scanguage watch your temps especially if you have a stock style oil cooler

    Replace your FICM.....not s sticking injector. Its a voltage issue related to a failing FICM. Same EXACT issue with my 6.0 E350. A new FICM fixed it completely. My van would barely run cold, ran good warm....new FICM, runs like new hot or cold.

      @Edgar Scott The original Hot Shots was made for the 7.3, I use it in my 12' Cummins 6.7, but tbh the seafoam is still best for my truck. It's got 247k on it, and once every 6 months I will put 2 full cans of the SF in one full tank of gas and run it till the low fuel light comes on.

    I got to just add that I have an old wore-out rode hard and put away wet 6.0 Powerstroke and I've been running shaffer's in it and it was having no sticks and problems. Then I did one oil change with some Rotel or something and within weeks started having bad 6in issues so I think I'll go ahead and go back to the Schaefers because it had that same kind of lilubricant in it that archoil has. 🖖✌️

    I have a 2005 f250 with a 6.0 powerstroke with 220,000k miles. I have been having injector stiction issues for some time. In the past it was only when I would first start the truck up that it would run rough. Then it got to the point where it would do it all the time, even when it was at operating temperature. I bought hot shots stiction eliminator and changed my oil adding it to the oil. Since it was my first use the box said the use 4 oz per quart of oil. My truck has 15 quarts so I added the whole bottle and only put in 13 quarts of oil. I then bought some stiction eliminator for the fuel as well and added that to the tank. I started the truck up and it runs great now, it has at least temporarily fixed the problem for me.

      If you just run Amsoil oil, no need for archoil anymore. The oil is better and has better detergents too clean the crud off the spool valves in the injectors and basically has Archoil “built in”

    Most helpful video I’ve seen. I was just getting ready to replace injectors. Going to try the Arch oil first. Everyone has me worried that it’s going to get Hydro locked! The only problem is is that I put hotshot stiction eliminator in the oil when I changed it two weeks ago. Not sure if I can put the arch oil in there or have to wait till the next oil change. If you’re still around let me know if you know anything about this. I might even just drain a quart of oil out of the tank and put some arch oil in. If that’s not possible I might get the fuel additive and use that until my next oil change. Even though the Huey injectors are run off oil, can’t hurt it I suppose.

      I sold my power stroke a little over two years ago. I went back to gas. Diesel is too expensive on maintenance and mileage sucks anyhow. my power stroke never pulled better than my old gas super duty anyhow. I can’t see any benefit to diesel. I have never heard of hot shot. I don’t know if it would be safe to mix with archoil or not.

      @@justtinkering6054 you posted this video like two years ago so you sold your truck right after?! Were you afraid it’d break down or what? I have a 2006 F-350 6.0 my everyday commuter. Does the exact same thing since I bought it back in 2018 with 75k miles. I’m now at 217,753 miles. It’s always done that exact same thing you described since I bought the truck (cold nights only) but she runs and drives great and fun to drive !! I love my diesel !!

  • @theprodistini2590
    @theprodistini2590 Před 4 lety +2

    You can run a diesel engine on 100% seafoam to clean the hell out of it if you need that. Also you can take the brake booster line or a vacuum line that feeds to somewhere center or close to center of the manifold, and dip the hose into the seafoam while the engine is running until youve put the entire bottle through the engine. If injectors are an issue, start engine and get it hot, Turn engine off and prime fuel filter with seafoam, start engine on seafoam but shut off before the fuel filter empties of the seafoam as you want the injectors full of the seafoam while it heat soaks. Let the truck sit for 20 mins and start it up, let it run for a minute or two then take it for a drive down a road that is not too busy as you will be smoking so bad youll swear the engines blown but it is just all the carbon burning off. Could take up to an hour of running to clear out.

    I have a early 2004 F-250 PSD 6 liter with 250k on it. I have had injectors go bad in it and youu would definitely know it if it was a bad injectoor. Itt could be the FICM,what I would do is get a scanguage Ii, plug in to your obll and program for your truck, will provide alot of basic info on that engine that you can compare to what numbers should be. It won't give you codes, but just good basic info on ficm voltage, oli temp,icp etc.
