Thank you so much for your wonderful narrative of Flora’s life. My mum was a MacDonald, and Flora is my 6 x great-grandmother. I’m very proud of her. Sadly, our family went on to become victims of the highland clearances, and I write to you from Australia.
I already had much admiration for Flora MacDonald, but the complete story of her life - as you told it here - convinces me even more. She was an extraordinary women. Thank you Gordon.
Excellent video which I found rather more informative than all the written material I’ve previously accessed. What an inspiring woman! I’m so proud to have her as a close relative. David Macdonald, Wellington, NZ - Great, Great, Great, Great Grandson of Flora
Thanks a lot for your informative, and measured, detailing of Flora MacDonald's life. I was looking for information on her entire life, not just the Bonnie Prince Charlie rescue---though that is pretty impressive. And It was the only thing I did associate her with prior to your video. Yes, she seems to have had a remarkable strength of character, and an attractive, humane nature. All the best from the States.
Thanks, Carol. Glad you found the video of interest. She was a very strong woman, one of my real heroes in the battle of life we are all engaged in! Kind regards, Gordon
Great tale, Gordon! We visited Flora’s grave when we were in Scotland in 2008. It was a lovely day, but very windy on top of that hill. I’m enjoying your videos. Thank you! Hello to June 👋
I could watch and listen to you all day. Hellooooo from the Snowy Mountains of Australia. Proud descendant of Keiths of Caithness and Bremners, Aitkens, Millers and Hardies, all of Fife. Can't wait until I can travel "home" again. 🏴⛵ Stay safe.🥃Slàinte mhath
Thank you for such a nice compliment! You have impressive Scottish ancestry, with some fine names in there! Yes, let's hope we can all get travelling again soon! Kind regards from a cold Scotland! Gordon
There are so many, Edmund, that I wouldn’t like to recommend one specific title. Also, as is usual with Scottish history, the views expressed in books about Flora do tend vary. Best try and read a few if possible. If you get the chance, visit her grave on the Isle of Skye! Kind regards, Gordon

My DNA results just revealed her to be my 6x great grandmother as well! Howdy cousin! (Texan in Colorado here)
Im very distantly related to her too through my 7th American cousin's husband, she was his 3rd great grandmother.
You are quite right to be immensely proud of her. A real heroine! Kind regards, Gordon
